Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Playing with Hashirama

Su Xiuyu's classmates all looked at him with envy. The once ordinary Su Xiuyu suddenly seemed cool and charismatic. A cheerful girl even teased him, "Hey, Su Xiuyu, do you need a girlfriend?"

Of course, it was just a friendly joke. Su Xiuyu didn't take it seriously.

Next was his match against Cheng Yaojia. This time, Su Xiuyu fought more gracefully, avoiding the rough techniques he had used on Lei Gang. After all, he had copied her homework before, so he felt a little guilty about going all out.

What he didn't realize was that Cheng Yaojia was watching him with stars in her eyes.

It wasn't that she was easily swayed by love, but rather, she admired Su Xiuyu. Like her, he had always been quiet and introverted, yet he carried himself with a carefree confidence she envied.

She didn't know it yet, but curiosity is the first step toward obsession.

"Su Xiuyu, you kept this from me? No wonder I couldn't outrun you this morning!" Wei Haoyu grinned, wrapping an arm around Su Xiuyu's shoulder. "Don't leave after school."

However, as soon as school was over, Su Xiuyu took off without waiting for Wei Haoyu.

He had an appointment with Hashirama—and breaking that wasn't an option.

After returning home and eating dinner, he turned to his mother. "Mom, I'm going to sleep early. Don't disturb me."

His mother sighed, watching him retreat into his room.

"He's really growing up... Xiu Yu, take care of yourself and don't overdo it," she muttered, assuming he was dealing with the usual struggles of a teenage boy.

Su Xiuyu, however, didn't hear a word.

The moment he entered his bedroom, he locked the door and activated the system to travel back to the Naruto world.

Training with Hashirama

When Su Xiuyu arrived, Hashirama was practicing his taijutsu in the yard.

Strength didn't just come from talent—it also required relentless effort.

"Hashirama! I'm here!"

Climbing over the outer wall, Su Xiuyu finally dropped into Hashirama's yard.

Seeing him, Hashirama's face lit up. "Hey, Xiuyu! You're finally here! I was just getting bored."

"Enough talk—teach me how to extract chakra and perform the Three Basic Techniques." Su Xiuyu got straight to the point.

Hashirama wasn't the type to beat around the bush, so keeping things simple was best.

"Alright! It's easy! First, do this… then that… and that… and—well, you get the idea!"

Hashirama was an absolute genius at explaining things—but without the system's help, Su Xiuyu would have been completely lost.

Following Hashirama's instructions, Su Xiuyu successfully extracted his first strand of chakra.

It wasn't difficult.

He suspected it had to do with his newly evolved bloodline. After all, he had been born with the power of all things—something as simple as chakra extraction wasn't going to slow him down.

"Wow, Su Xiuyu, you're really talented! That was way faster than when I first learned it," Hashirama said in surprise.

Starting this late, Su Xiuyu should have struggled—but instead, he was progressing even faster than Hashirama's precocious younger brother.

Maybe this isn't a bad thing, Hashirama thought. If Su Xiuyu and Madara both stand by my side, my dream of peace might actually come true.

"Alright, now that you've covered the Clone Technique, Transformation Technique, and Substitution Technique, I'll head back and practice on my own." Su Xiuyu smirked. "But first—let's do something fun."

Raising his eyebrows, he pulled two decks of cards from his pocket.

For some reason, the moment he held those poker cards, he felt like his real journey had begun.

"This is called poker. There are tons of ways to play it, like this… this… and this…"

"When you combine two decks, there are even more games…"

Hashirama quickly became obsessed.

Watching him get more and more excited, Su Xiuyu suddenly felt a little guilty.

Wait… does this mean I'm responsible for Tsunade's gambling addiction?

---

Hashirama's Legendary Bad Luck

The two of them played over a dozen rounds.

Su Xiuyu was a complete rookie at poker—but even he couldn't believe how bad Hashirama's luck was.

Now that he thought about it, Tsunade's awful gambling luck must have come from him.

It runs in the damn family.

Luckily, Hashirama managed to win a few games. If he hadn't, he probably would have forced Su Xiuyu to keep playing until dawn.

---

Day and Night Reversed

Days passed.

At night, Su Xiuyu trained with Hashirama. During the day, he slept through school.

Everyone assumed he was just exhausted from martial arts training.

No one noticed the silly, half-conscious look on his face—or the fact that Cheng Yaojia sometimes secretly watched him from behind.

But while Su Xiuyu slept, his mind was busy inside the system space.

All of them are Earth Release techniques.

"Well, at least I don't have to dig the ground for food anymore. I can just use Earth Dragon Bullet to feed myself." Su Xiuyu sighed.

Right now, Hashirama only had access to Earth and Water Release.

Water Release techniques required more chakra, which Su Xiuyu still lacked. Having just started as a ninja, Hashirama advised him to take things slow.

For now, Hashirama still needed to perform hand seals for his jutsu. Even though they were simplified, it was clear he wasn't at his peak yet.

The era of Hashirama and Madara was still far away.

For now, Su Xiuyu was only beginning his journey. One day, he'd be strong enough to fight alongside Hashirama—but for now, he had time.

Hashirama would definitely miss these days when he still needed hand seals.

---

At the Uchiha clan's training ground, Uchiha Madara was practicing his Fire Style jutsu. Lately, he had been feeling uneasy. He couldn't leave to find Hashirama because the clan was on high alert, preparing for another war.

This time, he wasn't sure whether they'd be fighting the lunatics from the Kaguya clan, the Hyuga clan, or the Senju clan.

Madara had long known that Hashirama was from the Senju clan. Although Hashirama was a fool, he had probably figured out Madara's identity just as easily.

For days, Madara had been torn between concern for his clan's impending war and the desire to have a proper talk with Hashirama. Maybe even with that noble fool, Su Xiuyu.

After all, anyone who could come up with a peeing contest must be an idiot.

Still, Hashirama couldn't leave, so why hadn't Su Xiuyu shown up?

Who was the one who pounded his chest and swore that no matter where the Uchiha clan's territory was, he'd find a way to get there?

Now he was nowhere to be seen. Turns out he was just bragging.

"I have a feeling you're thinking something rude, Madara. Pay attention—Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet!"

Su Xiuyu's voice rang out as he launched an Earth Dragon Bullet straight at Madara.

Madara immediately activated his Sharingan, effortlessly tracking the trajectory of the attack. With minimal movement, he dodged each bullet with ease.

"Hmph, just a weak little trick!" Madara sneered. "Is that all you've got, Su Xiuyu? Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"

Su Xiuyu swiftly formed a seal. "Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!"

A thick wall of earth rose from the ground, blocking the massive fireball.

"Hey, hey, hey, Madara, chill! I came here to see you—you don't really want to kill me, do you?"

"If that's all you can manage, Su Xiuyu, then you're already dead." Madara smirked. "Still… you've earned the right to be my opponent."

"Alright, alright, I get it. I'll come spar with you. But first—teach me Fire Style. I know you Uchihas are pros at it."

Madara crossed his arms, clearly annoyed. He was still salty that Su Xiuyu had visited Hashirama first.

"Hmph. I refuse. Go back to that idiot Hashirama."

Su Xiuyu sighed, realizing he had to coax this stubborn bastard.

"Come on, don't be like that. I even brought you something good to eat. You can't be that heartless."

Madara, still looking like the half-grown kid he was, glared at him. Su Xiuyu couldn't help but smirk. The so-called 'God of Shinobi' was still just a boy, like him.

"...Since you apologized sincerely, I forgive you. And it's definitely not because you brought me a gift."

"Of course, of course, you're way too generous," Su Xiuyu said, barely holding back a laugh. "Here, I got you mousse cake, yam cake with date paste, coconut milk jelly, and three-color meatballs."

As he opened the snack box, Su Xiuyu explained each one.

Why sweets?

Well, the Uchiha clan had a habit of being obsessed with their younger brothers—and those types of people always seemed to love sweets.

"You can save a portion for your little brother, Izuna."

Hearing that, Madara, who had initially wanted to refuse the sweets out of pride, immediately shut up. After all, Izuna really loved sweets.

"...Since you remembered my brother, I'll accept them this time. But I don't actually like sweets."

Su Xiuyu stared at Madara blankly. The way he was shoveling food into his mouth, who the hell would believe that?

...Oh, right. Probably only that idiot Hashirama.

"Do you know the starting seal for Fire Style?"

"I have no clue."

"...You—! Never mind. Your basics are too weak. I'll teach you from the beginning. First, I'll start with shuriken throwing, and then we'll move on to Fire Style."

Though Madara insulted Su Xiuyu's lack of knowledge, he was actually a pretty damn good teacher.

Much better than Hashirama, at least.

Learning from that fool required too much effort.

With Madara's guidance, Su Xiuyu quickly improved. Over the next few days, he picked up several Fire Style techniques, and his shuriken skills also grew more refined.

"Huh. Didn't expect it, but if Madara were a teacher, he'd actually be a great one."

"Hmph. Not with a worthless student like you."

Madara threw another insult at Su Xiuyu while munching on a dessert.

Damn, his mouth was too venomous.

Su Xiuyu seriously wanted to shut him up.

"I don't care where you're from or what your background is."

Madara's gaze sharpened.

"Even if you're the son of a daimyo, in front of me, you're just a rookie standing by the river."

Damn.

This bastard really underestimated him.

Su Xiuyu clenched his fists, fuming inside.

I really want to beat the crap out of this guy.

But for now, he didn't have the strength.

Fine. He'd remember this and make Madara pay later.

"Hey, Su Xiuyu."

Madara's voice dropped, turning serious.

"Grow stronger, fast. The world is about to go to war again. If you stay this weak, you'll die alone in some forgotten battlefield."

Su Xiuyu fell silent for a moment.

So he does care about me, after all.

Even though Madara was a stubborn, arrogant bastard, he still valued the bonds he had. Too bad his extreme personality would eventually lead him astray.

"Madara, I'm not dying anytime soon."

Su Xiuyu grinned.

"I still have a long road ahead—don't fall behind. After all, our record is 1-0 right now."

Madara's eyebrow twitched. "Who the hell said peeing farther counts as a competition?!"

"Too late. It's already on the record!"

Madara clenched his fists.

This idiot… I'll make him pay for this one day!
