Pong held on to Noah's shirt, her body shaking. "Why doesn't she realise that I love her?"
Her voice broke, raw and desperate.
Noah sighed, rubbing gentle circles on her back. "Pong, you—"
But she didn't let him continue. Instead, she cried even more, her hold tightening.
Noah didn't say a word after that.
He just let her cry.
Later that night, after dragging a drunken, heartbroken Pong back home and making sure she was safe, Noah headed straight for Kai.
But he knew something was off when he stepped inside Kai's place.
Kai was sitting on the couch, legs spread, one hand gripping a glass of whiskey while the other was raking through his already messy hair.
His jaw was clenched. His eyes? Blazing.
Noah hardly had a chance to get out a word before Kai's bitter, hard laugh split the air.
"How could that Shiphier bitch behave like this when she knows she cheated on me?" His voice dripped with venom, his knuckles white around the glass. "That is the reason why I left her."
