"Ash?" he replied, sensing the hurry.
"Dude, what the f**k happened between you two and Kai?" Ash's voice was hurried, anxious. "He's losing his mind at the dance studio, and it's not the normal 'pushing himself' stuff. He's destroying himself, and it's freaking us out."
Noah's gut hit the floor. "What? What do you mean?"
"You tell me! He stormed in, didn't say a word, and has been dancing nonstop like he's trying to kill himself. His eyes are messed up, like he's completely losing it."
Noah shot up from his chair, his pulse racing. "Where is he? I'm coming."
Pong, who had been watching him closely, stood as well. "Noah, what's wrong?"
Noah hesitated. He still hadn't worked out how to explain his relationship with Kai to her, and now wasn't the moment for an entire conversation. "I'll tell you later, I promise," he said before snatching his keys and dashing out the door.
Pong stood watching him go, her heart full of unanswered questions.
