Kai had not been anticipating Shiphier barging in his apartment that morning, arms folded and smirk creeping onto her mouth. He was already cranky, having stayed up late on a restless night, and did not need her.
"You should really stop deluding yourself into seeing things for what they truly are, Kai," Shiphier lounged, cradling her head. "Noah is not as devoted as you presume."
Kai's face grew somber at once. "What the hell are you saying?"
Shiphier sighed, as though pitying him. "I saw it with my own eyes, Kai. Your so-called boyfriend—he's been stringing you along. With Pong, of all people."
Kai scoffed, crossing his arms in defense. "Pong? His best friend? Do you hear yourself?"
Shiphier rolled her eyes. "I figured you'd be this blind." She pulled out her phone, tapping on the screen before flipping it toward him.
