Chapter 23 - Chapter 23 Lab Rat

When I woke up I was still extremely exhausted. I opened my eyes and groggily looked around trying to get an idea of my surroundings.

I could see a computer sitting on a white table that curved alongside the wall to my left.

In front of me was a white door with a small circular window in it. However I couldn't see out lf it. But I could've sworn I looked through it from the outside when I saw Brax.

There was also a tv hanging from the ceiling in front of the door.

Did they only have him in that room specifically to capture me?

To my right was an assortment of weapons. Knives, swords, and a handgun. There was also a bunch of torture equipment on a table underneath that weapon rack.

I doubt every room looked like this, but I'm sure they had a couple of these types of rooms.

If I had to guess I was in a room designed for torturing and gathering information from enemies.

I looked at the metal bands that held my arms and legs in place. They looked sturdy, it would probably be very difficult to break them off.

I tried to think of a plan to escape. However there was no way out currently.

The door creaked open and Warren walked in, grinning from ear to ear.

"Welcome back to the land of the living Kamelio!!!" He smiled widely at me. I didn't respond I just sat there and kind of stared at him.

However he continued to wait for my response.

"Yeah, a warm welcome it was." I gave in and spoke to him despite the conditions I was in. Being restricted and seeing someone you know wants to kill you isn't a fate for the weak.

My life was quite literally in his hands.

But why did he say welcome back?? I never died, right?

"I'm surprised you still have the energy for jokes. You were out for about 4 and a half days." He walked over to the computer and sat down.

"The hell'd you do to me?" I struggled to break free but I couldn't get quite move enough to even attempt to break the metal straps.

"We gave you enough anasthesia to make a lion stumble and rumble." He said laughing, "I'm surprised you're up so soon."

"What have you done with Brax?" I yelled but he by-passed it.

"I'll be asking the questions here Kamelio. How long have you had those cameras on school property?" His face had suddenly turned serious and he was giving me a deadpan look.

"Long enough. How long have you been experimenting on students?" I retorted smiling.

He wasn't the only one who had been doing his homework.

"So you learned about that? Interesting, which means you're the one who killed Tara." He started pacing slightly like he was contemplating.

It made me slightly nervous, but I would never tell him that.

"Get to the point man. What do you want with me? Why am I alive? You won right? So do your worst." I had already lost the battle.

Tomorrow already wasn't guaranteed, but now I was in enemy territory. Cuffed to a damn chair of some sort.

There wasn't a way out of this one. Confidence is key, but survival is the point. I should've been less confident and more cautious about every move I made.

I should've made more calculations and thought a real plan up. Improvising as I went along wasn't smart.

"You're alive because I still have a use for you. Picture what would happen if I took someone of your strength. A mix of two assassins, and mixed you with something else? Or what if I made one of your sides stronger!?!? The possibilities are endless!" He raised his hands laughing and smiling widely.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? Do you not feel anything for what you did to those damn students?" I was starting to get angry, Warren had no remorse at all.

He was already plotting on his next victim!!!

"Why would I feel remorse for that?" He asked me as he walked to the door. "Prepare yourself Kamelio, this is bigger than us both."

He shut the door and walked away leaving me in my thoughts.

On the brightside I didn't get tortured or anything yet. However now I know they want to experiment on me.

What does that mean for me? Will I still be okay after?

Suddenly I was longing to be back with Terva. Back where I was safe and I didn't have to be so violent.

Although I truly enjoyed the violence, I liked simply being in her presence more.

Mentally I had decided that If there was a way out. I would take it with no questions. No matter what I had to complete the mission and make it back to my woman.
