Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 When Darkness Prevails

I was pushed through the door that led deeper into the prison. At least it seemed to, but when I looked around everything looked different.

The walls had been whitewashed, their were beakers everywhere and vials of varying liquids.

As confused as I was I understood this is where the black magic happens.

The question still remains however, how were they bringing deceased students back to life?

"Welcome to my humble abode!" The Doctor said looking at the very large room before us.

He then pushed my chair to the far right. Wheeling me over to a table before locking the chair in place and causing the wheels to disappear inside the chair.

As I sat there he began grabbing items off of his other desks. A vial of purple liquid, a vial of a greenish blue mess, and a syringe.

"Now hold still." He began feeling my arm with his thumb. He was pressing the my arm as if he was searching for something.

"Ah, your veins are hard to find. I will undo the restraints on this arm so I can have better access to the arm. Do not resist." He waved a finger at me before putting his utensils down.

Then he undid the restraints on my left arm. Naturally I had bad intentions.

The second he turned to grab his utensils I swung my arm at him hitting him square in his jaw.

He stumbled knocking over a vial that miraculously didn't break when it landed.

"YOU MOTHERFU-." The Doctor stopped suddenly, took a deep breath and resumed. "I told you not to resist. Since you want to be so damn violent I will experiment on you using the prototype."

He turned away from me and took a step. Then he swiftly executed a back-kick at my chest. Sending my chair to the ground with me still strapped to it.

"That was payback, but this is just business. Wait there until I get back, gives you time to think about your actions." The Doctor immediately began walking away from me.

Honestly I thought he was heading out the main door. But I quickly noticed that he was heading into a different door at the other side of the room.

As I sat there in the chair I couldn't help but grow angry. He left me strapped to this chair and it was tipped towards the floor.

I was literally in a sitting position on my back in a damn chair! Staring at the ceiling wondering where it all went wrong.

Time waits for no man, and as time progressed so did my anger.

Five minutes.

10 minutes.

At this point I was bubbling over with rage. I wanted to rip them all limb from limb.

Beforehand I wasn't angry because I felt guilty. I blamed myself for Brax being trapped down here.

I blamed myself because if I hadn't sent him on that suicide mission he'd still be back at the base with the other guards.

I couldn't help but wonder if he had already been killed by now since I got captured too.

"Looks like you are enjoying that chair! Isn't it fascinating how it stops you from growing too emotional?" The Doctor was suddenly standing over me. Oddly enough I hadn't seen him come back.

"What?" I asked him shocked. Because how the hell did he come back without me noticing?

"Amazing, you were in a hallucinogenic state of deep thought! You probably couldn't even see me when I walked back in here!! AHH HAA HAAA HAAAA!" He started laughing maniacally.

It was a little concerning to be honest. However I had to figure out what the heck he meant by that statement.

"Hold on now you said hallucinogenic? Wait does that mean you altered my perception of reality using a hallucinogen that could change what I see?" I started thinking of my father. He told me about hallucinogens and how some mad scientists use them for many different things.

However, all I really knew was it could change what you see, how was it changing what I thought??

Not to mention, how was he able to control it? If he wasn't controlling it, then how come I could see him now, when two seconds ago I was oblivious to his presence.

"Of course, but this hallucinogenic alters your thoughts and feelings. If you get too angry, it wil stabilize you by introducing a little sadness. If you get too sad it will do the opposite. Since your a demon assassin of course this means we've stopped your ability to use the full extent of your power, even if you wanted to." The doctor pulled my chair back up allowing me to finally stop having to look up at him from the floor.

"Now, I've got a special experiment in mind for you. It's still in the prototype stages, but if you die no one will care. HA HAA it's a win-win!!" He pulled a purple vial from his utility belt, along with a red one and a black one.

Then he poured the purple and the red one into a beaker simultaneously before simply watching the reaction.

The red liquid made a face inside the purple liquid. There were two red eyes and a red smile just underneath it. While the purple happened to go between each one making them all more visible.

"Ahh, beautiful! Everytime I see it I am amazed at what I created Now for the final touches." The Doctor grabbed the black liquid and looked at it.

The bottom of the liquid was still, but the top was bubbling. Luckily it wasn't bubbling over the edge or I'd be a little more concerned.

But even so, I was the final piece of his experiment. Whatever he was about to try to do, I doubt it would be any good.

However, they had essentially sealed away majority of my power. All I could do was watch and pray for a miracle.

After observing the liquid for a second he poured it into his earlier combination.

The black liquid didn't mix well with the rest of it. However it went straight down into the mix and created its own section. Then after occupying the middle of everything it swirled slowly.

Smoke rose from the top of the beaker and it showed no signs of stopping. I could even see little fires dancing around on top of the liquid when I looked through the glass of said beaker.

The black liquid now occupied the middle and the top of the solution.

The purple liquid swirled around it, and yet the red face remained motionless right where it was.

The more I looked at it the more disturbed I was. It was almost like the face was… looking back at me?

But that's impossible right? I watched him pour a liquid in that beaker, not a person.

"Alright now, open wide." The doctor said smiling from ear to ear. He was literally the definition of mad scientist.

"Fuck no." I glared at him angrily, but my mood was becoming gloomy again quickly. How was the chair inducing me with this drug though? How could they pick and choose my symptoms while under the influence?

Sometimes it was just a thought switch, sometimes it was thoughts and feelings.

*snap*.

*snap*

"Snap out of it. Now since you don't want to cooperate, you can only blame yourself for this." He grabbed a syringe and pulled the liquid into it before injecting my left arm.

I tried to move it but I quickly noticed the straps were back on it. He must have done this earlier when I was unable to see him re-enter the room.

As the syrum entered into my veins I felt a scorching heat overcome my left arm. Then my entire body felt as if it had caught fire!

"Ahhhhhhh!!!! WHAT HAVE YOU…. DONE…. TO ME!!!!" I screamed as the flaming sensation reached my neck and rose into my face.

As the scorching heat overtook me, I slowly drifted off, losing consciousness due to the considerable amount of pain I was in.
