Lotus Realm
Panchal Dynasty,
Sumeru City, Major Mansion
The rising sun hung in the sky, its light gently piercing through the morning mist, while a sweet, soothing wind flowed southward, carrying a pleasant chill.
Inside the room, the atmosphere was traditional—rich wooden beams, antique tapestries hanging on the walls. In the center of the room lay a bed, its white sheets perfectly smooth.
On the bed, a young figure rested.
At that moment, the figure, who had been lying still, slowly opened his eyes. Seven radiant colors of light flashed across his pupils before slowly fading, returning to their normal, deep gaze.
"Huh… here again? The eighth time…" Avinash murmured softly, his voice laced with disbelief as he surveyed his surroundings. They felt strangely familiar.
He sat up slowly, his hands instinctively moving to check his body. He pressed his hand against his chest, relieved to find there were no wounds. Exhaling deeply, he placed his hands on his knees, sinking into thought.
After sitting for what felt like an eternity, he got up from the bed and walked over to the window. The soft morning sunlight touched his face, casting a warm glow as he gazed outside, his expression one of deep seriousness, completely at odds with his young age.
"This is the seventh time I've regressed to this point… Seven times exactly," he whispered to himself, his fingers reaching out towards the window, idly playing with the dust particles drifting through the air.
"I still remember when I first transmigrated into this world. My mind was full of dreams—flying swords, beautiful fairies, becoming an Immortal... But I didn't know back then how cruel this world could be. Strength, talent, and treasures are the only things that matter. The person I once called my father…" He paused, blinking, as the memories rushed back. "In the end, after discovering that I had a True Yang Bone in my chest, everything changed. He showed his true nature, and after waiting for the right moment, he dug it out of me and planted it in his real son... because I was just an adopted child."
"As for my real parents… they were no better. The moment I was born with the True Sun Physique, my uncle took it and gave it to his own son, simply because my bloodline wasn't pure enough. And my father? He did nothing to stop it, because to him, having a peerless genius in the clan was far more important. Then they tossed me into this lower realm, afraid of my mother. I thought at least someone cared about me… but I was wrong. She never loved my father, and she certainly never cared for me. Their marriage was nothing but a clan arrangement. How... laughable."
He continued muttering to himself, voice bitter, "Then I fell in love with a girl… but even she stabbed me in the heart. To her, I was a demon, unworthy of living. Why? Because I'm one of the Chosen Ones of Destiny, meant to suffer and endure. Maybe one day, people will accept me for my unshakable will."
A sneer appeared on his face for the first time.
He slowly closed his eyes, only to reopen them after what seemed like an eternity. A heavy sigh escaped his lips. "Eight lifetimes of experience… It all feels like a distant dream."
"If it weren't for my Eye Physique… or that annoying System constantly begging me to become its host, I might have really believed it was all just a dream."
