Chapter 34 - Battle Against Abomination

"Roar!" With a roar, though most of his reason had been eroded, only the animal instincts remained. But it was these instincts that told him not to take the attack head-on. He then leaped backward with all his might, while Tohka's attack followed swiftly, striking the ground with her sword.

"Bang!" At that moment, Tohka's strike hit as expected, carving a deep sword mark several meters long into the ground. Unfortunately, Abomination had already left the spot, still hovering in mid-air.

"That guy, he's so fast." It was at this moment that Tohka realized, though Abomination's size was massive, his speed was also remarkable. Looking up, she saw Abomination was about ten meters above her. Knowing she couldn't dodge, Tohka raised her giant sword in front of her, preparing to block Abomination's attack head-on.

"Roar!" But at that moment, another green giant rushed from behind Tohka. He charged into the air, tackling Abomination, who had no support in the air, and sent him crashing into a building across the street.

"Roar!" Letting out a vicious cry, the newly appeared giant ignored Tohka and charged toward the other monster. The two green giants, one large and one small, fought fiercely on the street, instantly enveloping the surroundings with intense wind pressure and flying debris.

"So, Dr. Banner still chose to become the Hulk? But that guy just injected himself with the serum, so he should still be in a weakened state." As Tohka had expected, Hulk was immediately overpowered and slammed to the ground by Abomination.

"Tohka, immediately support Dr. Banner. Leave General Ross and the military to me." Just as Tohka was about to watch the battle unfold, Coulson's voice sounded in her ear.

"Got it, leave it to me. Also, tell Ross to pull the U.S. soldiers back. I don't want to be restricted while fighting." Tohka knew that both of these monsters had exceptionally tough skin, and unless the military used high-powered weapons, it would be hard to hurt them. But the problem was, using such weapons in New York would cause a lot of collateral damage.

"Alright, I'll notify General Ross now." What Tohka thought of, Coulson also had in mind. He then stopped talking to Tohka and presumably contacted General Ross.

"Here we go." After glancing at the two green giants wrestling, Tohka accelerated and flew into the air. She then swung her sword again at Abomination, who was pinning Hulk to the ground.

As Abomination was about to continue attacking Hulk, he suddenly felt a chill on his back. Without caring about the Hulk he was pinning down, he flipped over and dodged Tohka's attack. However, since Hulk was there, Tohka didn't go all out. Seeing Abomination dodge, Tohka wasn't alarmed at all. Abomination then stomped on Hulk and changed direction, charging again toward Tohka.

"Roar!" Showing his teeth and glaring at Tohka, Abomination knew that if he didn't deal with her, he wouldn't be able to focus on fighting Hulk. He then accelerated and charged toward Tohka in the air.

Both of them were fast, and the watching U.S. military only saw two figures, one purple and one green, one large and one small, pass each other in a blur. They couldn't tell what had happened, only seeing the two giants standing apart.

"Roar." At that moment, the green giant suddenly knelt on the ground. His once tough skin on his abdomen had been slashed open, and green blood flowed out. On the other hand, Tohka appeared completely unscathed, except for a green streak across her giant sword.

"Roar!" Abomination glared at Tohka, knowing that fighting her unarmed would only lead to his defeat. Then, he grabbed two cars from the roadside and charged at her with them.

"Mm." Seeing Abomination charging toward her, Tohka gripped her sword with both hands and unleashed two sword waves, each about ten meters long. Abomination, clearly not expecting this outcome, hurriedly placed the two cars in front of him and swiftly dodged to the side.

The two sword waves flew past Abomination, barely grazing his body, and struck the walls on the opposite side, creating two large holes.

"Roar!" Even Abomination was startled, his body covered in a cold sweat. Then, he made a move that surprised Tohka: he turned and fled. After all, even beasts have an instinct for self-preservation. When facing an opponent he couldn't defeat, Abomination chose to run. He jumped with surprising speed for his size, grabbing onto a wall, and leaped to the roof, running away.

"He's running." Watching the monster flee, Tohka was momentarily stunned before flying up and following the green creature.

"This guy's not stupid." Abomination, now aware that Tohka was pursuing him, kept changing his escape direction, running from building to building. Tohka was forced to adjust her path, finding it impossible to catch up with him for now. Also, since they were in New York, she couldn't use her ultimate sword technique. If she accidentally destroyed parts of Manhattan, the responsibility would fall on her, and the resulting casualties would be catastrophic. In the U.S., the highest honor wasn't about how many enemies you defeated, but how many lives you saved. If Tohka didn't think things through, even if she managed to eliminate Abomination, it would cause a lot of trouble for her later.

"Roar." At that moment, Abomination seemed to suddenly have an idea. While running, he grabbed a pedestrian and hurled them at Tohka like a projectile.

"Ah, help!" Watching the citizens screaming as they flew through the air, Tohka had no choice but to slow down again. She kept changing her trajectory in the air, catching the civilians and placing them in the safest spot nearby. Because of this, the distance between her and Abomination grew larger.

"Dammit, being a superhero is so hard. The villains have it so much easier." At this moment, Tohka couldn't help but complain. She was clearly stronger than that guy, but always felt so restricted.

"Roar!" Seeing that Tohka was getting further away, Abomination let out a triumphant roar, clearly thinking he was about to escape her.

"Roar!" But before his triumphant cry could finish, the wall beside him suddenly shattered. Another green giant, not any smaller than him, charged out from the debris and knocked him to the ground.
