Chapter 33 - Abomination

"What is that thing? Oh my god, the military has created another freak, and this one is even more terrifying than the last." Looking at the monstrous green giant below, Coulson couldn't help but exclaim. This guy was covered in menacing spines, with a grotesque face. And to top it off, he wasn't even wearing pants—yes, no pants at all. Even the Hulk, no matter how monstrous, still wore his indestructible shorts, and Tohka noticed that this new giant, whom they should call Abomination, didn't even have... well, anything.

"Is this guy male or female?" Looking at the rampaging Abomination below, Tohka asked Coulson with some confusion. In her eyes, Abomination wasn't very strong, at least not compared to the Hulk. After all, the Hulk's strength was theoretically unlimited, while Abomination was just like this.

"Cough, cough, cough. That's not the point." Even Coulson was caught off guard by Tohka's question. He never expected her to focus on that. Her priorities were completely off. Looking at this guy's size, if he was a male, how could a woman handle that?

Coulson didn't even realize that he had been led astray by Tohka's comment. Not to mention the two bystanders above, Abomination below let out a loud roar. Then, he grabbed a car in front of him and threw it, smashing it violently against a nearby building.

"Out of control, this is bad." Seeing this, Coulson frowned, realizing things had become tricky. To him, Abomination was even more dangerous than the Hulk, because at least the Hulk wouldn't attack without provocation. But this guy was clearly a chaotic destroyer. Of course, Coulson wasn't as aware of the situation as Tohka. In his eyes, Abomination was a monster on par with the Hulk.

"So, what do you think? Should I intervene? That guy is troublesome, but I can still handle him." Watching Abomination toss cars and the panicked crowds running around below, Tohka turned to Coulson and asked.

"No, hold on. Let the military handle this guy for now. We should wait a bit. If we step in too soon, it will be hard to explain later." Coulson had thought this through more than Tohka. After all, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had arrived as soon as this guy appeared. It was clear to everyone that S.H.I.E.L.D. had been monitoring the military, which would put Fury in a difficult position. If the military couldn't handle it soon, then it would make sense for them to step in.

"Okay, we'll do that." Tohka didn't argue. Although she wasn't thinking as much as Coulson, she could see that after Abomination appeared, he was just destroying things around him and wasn't actively attacking civilians. Plus, the area had already been sealed off, and there were very few people around. In this case, as long as the people weren't foolish, there wouldn't be any danger, so she wasn't in a hurry.

"Bang, bang, bang." At that moment, the U.S. military below had finally responded. Machine guns and rocket missiles rained down on Abomination, but unfortunately, none of them caused him any harm. In fact, Abomination threw cars back at them, smashing them to pieces, and his methods were even more brutal, almost all fatal.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Dr. Banner and General Ross were also watching the events unfold. As they saw the Abomination causing destruction on the screen, everyone wore a serious expression.

"I need to go out and stop him." Watching the Abomination rampage below, the kind-hearted Dr. Banner couldn't stand it anymore and spoke to General Ross.

"You can't..." General Ross clearly disagreed. He was worried that Banner might lose control as well. If that happened, there would be two rampaging monsters, and even if they could be stopped, Banner might end up in a military tribunal.

At that moment, the mercenary Abomination clearly noticed the aircraft in the sky. He could tell that his target was likely in that plane. He then casually picked up a car, raised it above his head, and threw it towards the aircraft.

"This is bad, Tohka, stop him!" Seeing the car heading straight for the plane, Coulson, relying on his years of experience, knew the plane wouldn't be able to dodge it. Plus, there was a general on board—if the general were to die because of this, it would be a huge problem. Without thinking twice, Coulson urgently called for Tohka to take action.

"Understood." Seeing this, Tohka decided not to hide her intentions anymore. She leaped into the air and flew at her fastest speed to intercept the plane. Just as she reached it, the car thrown by Abomination was right in front of her.

"Boom." At that moment, a loud explosion echoed through the air. Both the military and police below, as well as Abomination who was surrounded by people, stopped what they were doing and looked up at the sky.

What they saw next was completely unexpected. Even before the flames from the explosion had dissipated, a helicopter flew out of the fire. Then, a spirited young woman in blue and purple armor, holding a large sword, emerged from inside.

And this young woman was none other than Tohka. She had just arrived and immediately faced the oncoming car. The car collided with her shield, followed by a violent explosion. Fortunately, Tohka blocked it, and the military helicopter, being a military-grade vehicle, wasn't damaged by the explosion's aftershock.

"Rooaaar!" Abomination let out a hoarse roar and fixed his eyes on Tohka in the sky. She immediately understood his expression—it was saying, "Get out of the way, you're not my target."

"This guy, although his reason has been eroded, still retains his instincts." Watching Abomination threaten her like a beast, Tohka realized that he hadn't completely lost himself. Just like she thought, even though he had lost most of his rationality, Abomination still used his animal instincts to determine that Tohka was not someone to mess with. His target was the Hulk, and he didn't want to waste time fighting her.

"Hmph, I'm not afraid of you." Ignoring Abomination's warning, Tohka dropped from the sky at top speed. She swung her massive sword down towards Abomination's head with full force, showing no mercy.

"Boom!" Even when facing the U.S. military's artillery without flinching, Abomination suddenly felt his heart skip a beat.
