Chapter 36 - The Famous Tohka

"Alright, our mission is complete, we'll leave now." Looking at the damaged buildings and bumpy streets, Tohka felt there was nothing more for her here.

Anyway, these problems were all caused by the military, and they had nothing to do with her. As for the most valuable thing, the abomination's corpse, it was of no use to her.

Whether it belonged to S.H.I.E.L.D. or the U.S. military didn't matter either, so she just put on her armor and flew off, leaving these trivial matters to Coulson.

"Ah..." Okay, when Tohka returned home, she was stunned and frustrated to find that her house had also been affected.

There were several large holes in the walls, and a car was embedded in her wall. "Damn General Ross, I want compensation."

"Forget it, I have nothing to do today, I'll just go to Tony's place. By the way, Jarvis, I've handed it over to you. Help me write the documents and collect the evidence. I'll make sure the government compensates me."

Tohka didn't want to be taken advantage of, so at this point, she had her sights set on the U.S. government.

"Understood, miss. I'll start collecting the materials, please wait a moment." Then Jarvis' voice rang in Tohka's ears, and the armor's camera function was activated again, clearly to gather the necessary evidence.

"Alright, miss, the collection is complete, I'll help you organize the information." After hearing Jarvis, Tohka accelerated and vanished into the night sky, heading towards Tony's seaside villa.

"You're back?" At the villa, Tohka saw a grim-faced Tony. His villa was still being watched by Fury's group of bodyguards.

Having been restricted, Tony's mood was really bad. "By the way, the noise you made tonight was no small thing. It's impossible to hide now. After all, you caused such a big uproar and even resulted in significant casualties."

"Also, you literally tore up half of New York. Now all the media knows about it, but luckily you appeared in a positive light. As for the damage caused by the fight, the military will cover it. Anyway, this whole mess was caused by them, so you don't need to worry at all."

Clearly, Tony thought Tohka might feel some psychological burden, after all, in his eyes, it was strange that such a young girl could make such a big splash without being emotional.

"It's fine, I already thought about this." After hearing Tony's words, Tohka shook her head, "I'm not burdened at all. I don't even know who smashed my house, but I've already applied for government compensation. So, I'll stay with you for the night."

With a glance at Tony, Tohka went back to her room. Thankfully, this room was one of the few in the dilapidated villa that remained intact, so she didn't have to move again.

The next day, when Tohka woke up, the sun had already risen. Bored, she chewed on some bread and opened her computer, wanting to see the news reports about last night.

"Tch, as expected, General Ross is taking the blame." Indeed, when she opened the news page, the reports about the incident were everywhere. After all, last night they had practically fought through half of New York.

At least hundreds of thousands of people witnessed the battle, along with the broken streets, the battered buildings, and the casualties of innocent civilians.

After all, although Tohka had saved people, the stones thrown by Abomination during his escape also hit some people.

In short, all the blame was placed on General Ross, with the simple excuse that he had secretly conducted the super soldier experiments, and the military and government had nothing to do with it.

So now, he had been dismissed and was under investigation. However, Tohka could tell that even though General Ross was being investigated, he would never be sent to court.

Because if someone said this incident didn't involve others, she'd never believe it. After all, everything required financial support, and that support naturally came from the government, including the army mobilized to capture the Hulk.

"Well, looks like I'm famous now." Tohka continued to scroll down the webpage, and there, taking up the second spot in the media, was a striking photo of herself in armor, holding a giant sword.

Next came her biography, mentioning things like being the young lady of the Stark family, and so on...

But what amused Tohka the most was that the random biography Tony had filled out for her was also dug up. It included things like being orphaned, her home being destroyed, and a long list of other details.

But the process of how she gained her powers was also bizarre...

"She is truly beautiful, you know. I saw her up close back then. That beautiful armor she wore, and..." Tohka vaguely recognized this person; he was a young man she had saved earlier.

"Forget it, I'll disappear for a while. I won't go to school for the next few days; it'll be a hassle anyway."

Looking at the chaotic reports, Tohka decided to go into hiding for a while. After all, people are easily forgotten.

In this world full of superheroes, attention-grabbing events would surely be endless. As long as she kept a low profile, she would be forgotten soon enough.

After thinking it through, Tohka pushed the thoughts out of her mind and walked out of her room.

"Our princess, looks like you rested well. You should know, you're a big star now. Maybe people will even ask for your autograph when you walk down the street."

As soon as she stepped out, Tohka heard Tony's teasing voice. She also saw Nick Fury, the one-eyed director of S.H.I.E.L.D., sitting next to him, drinking his coffee.

"Hey, one-eyed grandpa, I haven't had breakfast yet. Can we talk after I eat?" Well, Tohka was really hungry now. After seeing Nick Fury, she made her request.

Cough cough cough "Alright, do as you wish. I'm just here to check on Tony's progress. The other matter can wait, I still have to handle this one."

Choked by Tohka's words, Fury waved his hand, signaling her to do as she pleased. His attention was now focused mainly on the Abomination's corpse, which still held significant research value. He had already made up his mind to ensure it didn't end up in the military's hands.

After all, that group of guys were clearly crazy with their desire for a second Captain America, and with the military and police's helplessness in handling recent super-powered criminal cases, who knew if they'd suddenly get the idea to create a second Abomination.
