The Energy Psycho shot up in wake. She had only slept for 30 minutes, as usual. It was rare for her to sleep for more than an hour. As she screamed a ferocious battle cry, the entire war-torn nation curdled in fear. The elders of the country had discussed what to do with her, but their plans failed, time and time again, until it reached inethical proportions. One of the elders even suggested torture as a method of fear, but she even withstood that, unable to scream in pain. She still felt pain, but it was almost as if she was immune to it. As she rushed out, back to the castle, she shot past it by a couple miles. There, she met that man, the very thin man.
She'd grown accustomed to calling him 'Vampire' on account of his pale skin. The truth was, he had some kind of deficiency, but she didn't know that.
"Hey, Vampire! What do you know about the red thread of fate?" She asked.
Vampire responded in a very happy tone. As he talked, the rippling energy surrounding the energy psycho started to grow even more, now shooting out of her body in spirals.
"The red thread of fate. Originally well known in an alternate dimension. The term was popularized on the Earth of that world, which is incredibly different from the Earth we live on today. The idea is simple. Soulmates. They exist!"
As he continued to speak, her eyes got wider in awe.
"The truth is, the red thread of fate was an Eastern Ideology, and the idea was that people walk through life in soul groups. The truth is, soulmates are real! But not only that, but what they didn't know, is that the red thread of fate decides everything. To exist, is to be bound by fate. Every action, since birth, is decided by a higher power.
Fate!!!"
-Meanwhile, at New America-
Walking across the land, I stepped with boredom. S pointed towards me, and shouted. "I'm bored! Let's do something fun!"
Instantly perking up, I immediately decided to honor her request.
"I know something fun we can do!" I shouted in excitement.
Ever since I got the power of teleportation, I hadn't been able to use it for fun, but now, it's more than fun! I wanted to try doing what that other mysterious teleporting guy did before. I didn't know who he was, but it definitely gave me an idea. I wanted to try skydiving! If I teleport to the ground right before landing, then maybe I won't die.
I grabbed S by the arm forcefully, and teleported into the sky!
"Whoooooo!!!" I screamed, feeling the adrenaline of skydiving for the first time, the rush in the air completely knocking the wind out of me. I didn't expect the G-forces to be that harsh! "I wonder what it'd be like to teleport inside of a cloud!" I screamed, while S started screaming, begging for me to stop.
At that moment, I thought to myself. What if S dies? I might accidentally drop her, and she's not exactly light. "How much do you weigh?" I asked S, expecting her to say around 130 pounds. The response I got was shocking. "Right now? I'm about 50 pounds!" 50 pounds? That didn't seem right. Sure, she was a little girl, but she looked as if she weighed at least 100. Was her insides made of cardboard? How could she weigh so little? It didn't look like she was malnourished either. "Stop lying, you know I can't pick you up. I told her, not believing her to be 50 pounds. I remember as a kid back on Earth, I had a dog. My dad used to buy those 50lb bags, and I was barely able to pick them up. If I wanted to teleport with her more, I'd have to teleport into the sky, teleport to her, catch her, and then land back on the ground.
What if she died?
I thought for a second, before realizing something. I just met her a couple days ago, who cares if she dies? Sure, she might be a little girl, but how many little girls die all the time. It's not my fault if I fail to catch her.
"Do you wanna skydive some more?" I asked, wondering if she regretted saying she was bored.
"No! That was fun! Let's do it again!" She said, to my shock. This kid! She's actually kinda likeable. I planned to just kill her once I got all the answers outta her, but now I was thinking of letting her live. I mean, its not like she's one of those goody to shoes losers. She's a cannibal! It would make sense that she'd be ok with risking her life for some fun.
"Alright, let's go!" I shouted in the air! I shot up into the sky with the power of teleportation, ripping through the sky at enormous speeds. As I lost my strength, S fell out of my hand & I continued to fall like some kind of madman. I shot directly through a cloud, a blast of wet, cold air and water rushing everywhere around me! The feeling was amazing, refreshing even! My hands were shaking from the rush it gave me. We did this for a couple hours, and eventually, I got so good at catching S, that I could teleport to her in mid-air and then teleport back to a cloud, then back to her again, all before landing. I thought this was good, but it still didn't match what she described that the other teleporting guy could do. I had to think at every step of the process. It was not only mentally exhausting, but the g-forces were giving me a huge headache. Eventually, I had no choice but to stop. The way S described it, the other guy could do it so well that it confused the village people to an insane degree.
I wondered who it could be? A teleporting guy who can use it even better than me. He can use that pseudo-flight during battle, but I wasn't that good yet. If I tried to use it in battle now, it would look all wonky & my enemy would easily be able to destroy me. As the newspaper arrived to the local town that me & S resided, I decided to check it out. "New Chaotic Demon comes out of the woodwork..." I read the article aloud. "The puppetmaster. A woman who can turn people into porcelain dolls." The article also said that she looked exactly like a porcelain doll. It suggested that she had an armor to her as well. Little did I know, in 8 Years, I would fight her in the future. 8 years is a lot of time, and I forgot most of the article an hour after we left town. "Hey, J..." S asked me as we got further away from town.
"What?" I asked her, genuinely curious. "Do you ever feel like we're destined to be together. We just met, and we're already best friends."
Ha! Best friends my ass. I would have sold her soul for a couple bucks. The only reason she was around was because I was bored without her. At the end of the day, she's inferior compared to my real goal. I wanted to achieve it. I would do anything to achieve it.
Sacrificing the innocent was no big deal to me, if it could further me to my goal. But in order to achieve this goal, I would have to gain as much power as possible.
In order to achieve this goal, I'd have to sacrifice any moticom of selflessness, any morsel of humanity. Any ounce of empathy in my heart must be eradicated for the sole purpose of gaining power. I'd have to steal, kill, and even slaughter people on a mass scale just to get what I want. And I wasn't afraid of doing it. Of course, with that goal in mind, I wasn't gonna let myself get attatched to this little girl in any way, shape or form.
If anything, the thought of killing her crossed my mind at that very moment because of how I didn't want to get too attatched.
At that point, I decided not to, and just gave some dipshit, bottom of the barrel reply to appease her dumbass.
"Yeah, maybe we're fated to be friends!"
-Back at the War Torn Nation-
As the Energy Psycho sat & listened to the description of the Red Thread of Fate, ahe could only think in awe.
"So, everything is decided already? We have no free will?" She asked Vampire, expecting to be wrong.
Vampire could only respond in sadness. "Unfortunately, yes. My love. We might even be destined to get married!"
She laughed, before getting serious. "We need to destroy the Red Thread of Fate. I can't get married to your ugly ass."
Vampire just sat in sadness, looking up at the sky. "Well, the Red Thread of Fate is actually not red. It unseeable. You're the only one to see it. It seems like the energy that gives you all of your powers also allows you to see it. That's the thing that makes you special." He said in excitement.
"The truth is, those who can see the red thread of fate are the only one not bound by fate. Anyone who can't see it is but a slave to fate. And that prevents everyone from living a life of true freedom. But you... you can see it! That means you aren't tied by fate. You can control it, bend it to your will. Mold it. Anyone that can control fate becomes a God! Uninhindered, unstoppable!"
In response, the Energy Psycho looked into the volcanic ash of the war torn nation. "I will someday be able to manipulate fate to my will! I will control it! I will change the world, in many ways! I'll make it so that Chaos can reign supreme, and I can continue an endless battle across the entire world!"
In excitement, she shouted. "What of the Adrenaline Junkie? Any new info about that guy?"
She definitely had a form of ADHD. She jumped topics so quickly, it was hard for Vampire to follow.
Vampire then told her. "He's in New America. We found someone who was recently in contact with him, a woman that can control ice & snow. Will you want to meet her?"
The Energy Psycho immediately shot up and flew to the dungeon.
Vampire barely followed behind.
There, they opened the door to the dungeon to find the albino Chaotic Demon, tied up & unable to move.
There were scars all over her body.
The Energy Psycho started screaming. "Where is that asshole! I want to kill him!"
The Cold Hearted could only shout in anguish. "I don't know where he is! He's somewhere in New America."
The energy psycho took one look at her, and instantly realized something. "She's lying! The bitch is fucking lying to me!!" She screamed. "We shipped you all the way to our War-Torn Nation and you have the guts to fucking lie to me!!"
She threw the chair on the ground, and grabbed a giant bucket.
"Let me fucking tell you something, you albino fuck! Torture has existed for centuries. Back in the old days, torture only ended in death! It was only a couple years ago, when a transmigrator from another world told us about waterboarding! It's when you put a cloth over some asshole's face, and fucking DROWN them!!! It was perfect because it never left a scar! But I... I think water is too tame! It's pathetic. Who fears water? NO ONE!!!"
The Energy Psycho then picked up the bucket, a bright red liquid sloshing inside of it.
Blood!
"Listen, I invented a new torture method. I call it Bloodboarding! This...
It'll really strike fear into you!"
-Back in New America
As we continued to walk to who knows where, we continued to have fun playing together. We didn't know where we were going, or what to do, but she wanted to go to the War-Torn Nation on the other side of the world.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, my teleportation wasn't very powerful since I just got my powers. Apparently, Chaotic Demons & Celestial Angels gain powers that start off weak & get stronger as time moves on. Speaking of which, I wondered what the final, most powerful version of teleportation would be. I would have to become pretty strong in the future.
All's this was to say that, I couldn't yet teleport all across the world. The teleportatilon was only limited to what I could see in the distance at the time.
As we walked, just for leisure, I watched the green grass sway and the beautiful color of nature, surrounded by sounds of birds & nature. It was beautiful. I quite liked the peace, tranquility & beauty of nature. Especially with the sounds of running water in the background.
In my life on Earth, I used to go on long walks with my dog & just listen to lofi music while relaxing.
"Hey, do you have a phone?" I asked S, wondering if I could listen to some lofi music right now.
"A phone!?" She shouted in awe. "Phones are for rich people, only the elite top percent rich guys can have them, why do you think i'd have one?"
As I heard her answer, I grew slightly dissappointed.
I then told her, "You know what. I actually like this. Peaceful walks, watching nature." As some deer run off in the distance, and geese lied peacefully in a nearby river, the cool breeze rushed through me. My breath was clear, and smelling the air made me feel very happy. Amidst all the excitement, it was nice to have a good, relaxing day every once in a while.
Of course, this feeling of peace couldn't compare to the power of Chaos. I'd much rather be nearly killed, than just walk through a field.
The endless power of chaos was so exhilirating & exciting, and at this point, I couldn't get enough of it. I enjoyed adrenaline too much.
I looked over to S, trying to speak, but noticed something. "Hey, your face looks a little strange." I said, asking her directly.
The truth was, it did. She looked different somehow, as if the structure of her body changed.
Never mind. It was ridiculous. I dismissed the thought entirely. I was just imagining things.
As we were walking, I slowly looked up.
"What?" I said, almost unconvinced at what I saw.
Right in front of me, was a pale thin man, who looked almost like a vampire.
He looked so immaciated & malnourished that it seemed like he hadn't eaten in weeks. And he was flying! Some strange golden energy swirled through his entire body.
"And who the fuck are you, you underfed anorexic bitch?" I asked, provoking a response.
In my shock & awe, he only responded with a smile.
"My name is Vampire, and my master wishes to kill you."
As I looked over to the side, I noticed some weird creatures flying around him. They were massive, but I couldn't tell what they were.
"You are the Adrenaline Junkie, correct? I am here to test you. My master, with her beautiful eyes and amazing personality, she thinks that you are strong enough to entertain her. I, however, believe that you are an ant, only getting in the way of her true goal."
As he closed his mouth, he once again opened it to utter a single phrase that made fear shoot down my spine.
"Die."
