Chapter 13 - War-Torn Country

"YOU are the Adrenaline Junkie?" She asked with a bewildered expression. Seems she really thought whoever hunted her down was me.

"Yep. I can teleport and everything." I said with a confident smirk. "Whoever you saw earlier wasn't the Adrenaline Junkie, it was likely someone with a similar power."

The girl looked at me strangely. "I didn't get a good look on the false Adrenaline Junkies' face, but im willing to bet you looked nothing alike. Prove it! Teleport, right now!"

In response to that, I obliged immdiatly, instantly teleporting right next to her.

"It is true! You ARE the Adrenaline Junkie! And you look as ugly as the rumors really say he is!"

What? Ugly? "The rumors don't say i'm ugly, you little bastard!" This kid was testing my patience, and I've killed for less. But I couldn't kill her just yet. I had to find out what was going on first.

"You look uglier than me!" I screamed. "You look like a bunch of facial features cobbled together!"

In response to that, she muttered to herself. "Did I do it wrong? Either way, this is pointless. You're the ugly one here, not me!"

As I started to walk out of the house, I asked her. "Anyway, do you know where there's some good food around here? I'm starving, and i'm definitely not in the mood for a human heart."

She looked to me & smiled, very excited for some reason. "I can cook something for you!"

Her eyes sparkle with a mischievious grin.

"Look kid, i'm not a cannibal! I know that eating the human brain can cause a wide vareity of mental and physical illnesses, alright! I'm not Hannibal Lector!"

She looked to me, very confused. "Who's that? Some kind of actor?"

I just remembered, in this world, they didn't have the same type of pop culture as they did on Earth. That means that this kid never watched One Piece! "Hey, kid, do you know who the King of the Pirates is?" I asked, hoping for a unique answer. Instead, all I got was dissappointment.

"She's a Chaotic Demon that recently rose up as an infamous pirate captain! She's very niche, how did you know about her?"

Truth was, I didn't. I was just referencing one of my favorite shows. "As a kid I was obsessed with an anime called One Piece. I loved it so much! It was practically my whole childhood." I told her in a scolding manner.

She looked at me with a strange expression. "What's an anime? Is that something loser's enjoy?"

That's officially it! This kid was on my permanent kill list now.

"Either way, kid, we gotta get outta here. So, tell me, where do you wanna go?"

To my surprise, our conversation, which had been, up until this point, pretty lighthearted, turned serious. Have you ever seen someone pure evil, with a point of view that makes them treat people as animals?" That was a very strange question. It came out of nowhere & it didn't even connect with my question in the slightest. Although, what she was saying did ring a bell. I thought back to the 1940's of Germany, where the Nazi's killed millions of Jews. Even thinking back to earlier times in Earth's history, I thought of how black people and women were treated as less than. Some of them were even kept as slaves. Even though I didn't particularly care about these incidences, I still never treated anyone differently based on their color or race. Although, my care for human life had dwindled to nothingness after seeing the horror that humankind had to offer, it didn't mean that I was racist or mysogynistic. I still had a small level of care towards animals, as long as they didn't piss me off. But to humans, I treated them all as being equal to flies. I could kill millions of them without feelibg a thing.

"Hey, where are you going with this?" I asked, strangely confused. She responds with a fear some look in her eye. "I know that Chaotic Demons are evil. Even i'm evil to some extent, but... that woman. She views everyone without powers. Anyone who is not a Chaotic Demon or Celestial Angel...

She sees them as tools, pieces of the puzzle to be torn apart and thrown away. She killed my benefactor one day. "Benefactor?" I asked, very interested in the situation.

"Yes. My benefactor. The most important woman in my life. She believed in true freedom, and would do anything to be free. She would even kill her own loved ones, simply because her morals had held her back from being truly free. She may have been evil, but her freedom also allowed her to do great things. She saved millions of lives and was a shining figure of greatness. But the Energy Psycho... she stopped my benefactor from achieving her best goal yet, and now, someone out there, some sick fuck, is..."

Then, she looked at me, and paused for a long time, as if she'd realized something. "Hey, why don't you kill her?" She asked, easily excited. "What? Me? Kill this energy psycho? Not gonna happen. I value my life way to much!" I shouted back at her in anger. Her face turned to sheer dissappointment as she looked away from me. Then, she kicked me. "You... jerk! Don't be such a coward! Aren't you a man? Die like one!"

How did her sadness turn into aggression so quickly? It was uncanny! "Okay! Stop! I'll kill the Energy Psycho! Just don't pull on my hair!" I shouted, as I felt her ripping my scalp. She stopped, and gave a happy smile. It looked creepy when in contrast with her ugly face.

"When?" She asked, desperate to hear an answer.

"Never." I started cackling before she attacked me once again.

"I'll do it! I was just joking!" I shouted out to her in anger. This kid was relentless! Just how would I be able to beat the Energy Psycho. It sounded to me that she was just invincible. But she couldn't be that strong! I would find out a way!

-Meanwhile, at the other side of the world, in a war torn country-

As crimson red lightning shot out from the sky, the booming sound it made was horrific. In the War-Torn Nation, nobody knew why it rained down red lightning constantly, but it did. The odd thing is that the red lightning almost never killed anybody. It was called the Lightning of Judgement & Retribution by natives. Every year it would kill some, yet it always seemed to stray away from the innocent. Nobody bad ever died.

Meanwhile, in the distance...

"Please, spare my life! Spare my child!" A man, bloody and beaten, on the brink of death cried out. But to the woman he begged to, she didn't care about his life.

"Shut up, you freaking bastard!" She screamed with a face hungry for blood! Her bloodlust had grown even more after failing to locate the Adrenaline Junkie!

As she smiled, she observed his face, begging for life! In return, she gave him death! With her insane level of super strength, she ripped his head clean off of his body! As the golden energy swirled around her entire body, she could feel herself becoming faster, stronger, crazier!

With absurd speed on par with that of teleportation, she flew away, back to her hideout.

"This country..." she said to herself as she watched the many people die! Bombs, death, gore! It was everywhere. To a normal person, they would shy away from that kind of ruthlessness, but to her, she savoured it all the more! She was addicted to battle, and grew crazier and crazier. She hadn't showered in years, yet she didn't stink!

Why, you ask? Great question! It was because she had killed so many, that the stench of blood overpowered everything. The wave of bodies on her castle made everything smell horrific in contrast. Her constantly bloodshot eyes whirled around, desperately hunting for battle. As per usual, she hadn't slept in weeks, and she didn't plan on sleeping either, with her unending addiction.

Along the way home, a group of bandits stopped her. As they screamed at her to take her money, she could only give a psychotic laugh in response. "You weak bastards! What do cows, pigs, and people have in common? Of course!! They exist to be slaughtered! To be given as food to a higher power! ME!"

As her voice boomed throughout the entire war torn country, every man, woman, and child could hear.

The tyrant has spoken!

"In the end, the only thing that matters..

IS POWER!! POWER!!!" As she screamed, she stamped her foot on the ground, scaring the bandits in a horrific way. It was almost as if they'd encountered a wild animal.

But she was even worse than that! She was a force of nature!

A normal human wouldn't fight a hurricane! They'd be torn to shreds, shot up into the SKY!! Their body would be so MANGLED that their LOVED ONES would NEVER see their real face again!!!!!!!

She was a force of nature! As if a thousand hurricanes were raining down from the sky!!!

One giant step from her, using her immense level of power, she capsized the mountain, killing them all! Not a single one survived, because she hunted them down, every last bandit, and wiped every trace of them off the map.

They had not only been killed, but they had been erased from existance entirely.

Their families would never find their bodies.

As she shot through the sky, giant blasts of wind shot behind her, nearly breaking the sound barrier. She continued to laugh. She knew, that at the rate she was flying, parts of her skin would tear off, but she didn't care! She wished to return to her castle of bones, and much like her views on others lives, she herself, didn't care about her own life!

To hell with it!

It doesn't matter. In her eyes, if she died tomorrow, her life would be complete!

Landing on top of her castle, she met her loyal servant.

He was a Chaotic Demon as well. His body was thin, almost too thin, as if he hadn't eaten in days! "Hello, master. Would you like me to run you a bath?" He asked, politely, but in his eyes, anyone with half a brain could tell that he had no regard for human life. These people wouldn't flinch at torture. In fact, the woman, the Energy Psycho, quite enjoyed torture. It was like a test, to see just how much pain she could withstand!

"I told you! Don't waste my fucking time on bathing! Do you have hostages? Do you have enemies I can kill! What about the red thread of fate? Do you have any use in your life, you worthless sack of shit!"

In response to that, the thin man also, very politely, asked once again. "What about food, you haven't eaten in days."

Her eyes glinted with hunger, and her body shot forward to the kitchen.

"I need it! Raw meat!!" She was not only terribly in need of proper hygiene, but she would regularly eat raw food, ripping into it like an animal! She broke through the mountain of dead bodies in her castle, to rush towards the kitchen.

One of her servants, a man by the name of Road, tries saying hi to her as she rushed through, but she completely pushed past him, completely ignoring him.

In the dining hall, was several hundred raw steaks, porkchops, chicken. She ate it all! It took her all of 30 minutes to eat several hundred pounds of raw meat, until she ran to the bathroom, puking it all up.

This had been a daily routine for her. She didn't take any pleasure over eating, she just did it, but she did take pleasure in eating raw meat. Darwinism in full form! Knowing that she had power over the animals.

She screamed in happiness, ready to fight once again. The thin man once came to her side. "Miss... no. My love, maybe you would like to know that the northern king has started a rebellion in our coun-"

Before he even finished his sentence, she flew off in drastic speeds to murder this king and crush the entire rebellion.

As he looked up, he thought to himself. Would she ever love him, would she ever feel the way he felt about her? He was addicted to the amount of freedom and power she had! When around her, he felt invincible.

"Ah, I did find out something about the Red Thread of Fate!" He said to himself before going to take a nap. Before that, he asked himself. Why didn't she ever wait for him to finish?

As she rushed at full speed, over to kill the king and his rebellion, she saw the ground of the country. Fire was everywhere. Several volcanoes had erupted, and the air was toxic to inhale. She could withstand it because she had built a resistance to it for all these years.

As she ripped through the sky, she screamed with unbridled fury and passion, desprately begging for a battle to the death. She ignored that, in this country, innocent women and children were being slaughtered and tortured. She understood that it was simply because they were all weak! They were weak, pathetic sheep that deserved their fate! They deserved to die, and nothing they did mattered. She knew, that if she lost, she would also deserve death. But she didn't fear dying. She only feared not being the strongest.

As she rushed to the rebellion ara, she instantly crashed into their base of operations, screaming full force, ready to kill.

She saw the rebels, and stopped for a second. "Normal... civilians?" She asked herself.

The king, the man who started to stand up, carrying a flimsy knife, stopped her. "Don't move! Stay right there! I won't kill you if you just leave!"

Fear shredded right through his eyes, and he began to plead.

"We don't want to fight, we just wanna be free! We want to leave this country! Why does it need to be bordered! We just want to escape!" As he started crying, pathetic dribbles of tears rolled down his eyes. He was no king. He was just a man trying to protect the innocent.

The energy psycho laughed, her eyes even worse! Even more bloodshot! She hadn't slept in so long, that she had become delirious, but she had so much energy that she didn't care!

"You know what you are? You see," she started saying. "Many of you are vying for power! The pathetic, weak kings that bend the knee to the Chaotic Demons that reside in this country! The ones trying to keep their people safe! And the ones who are too cowardly to truly live life on the edge!! The Chaotic Demons are destroying this country, and you wanna pack up and leave! COWARDS!!"

She would rather them die in battle like real warriors than retreat. She didn't care to think of their thoughts and feelings.

As she laughed, she looked around the room. Men, women, children of all sizes! She sped through, ripping their bodies apart, shredding every piece of them, annihilating, biting, clawing like some kind of deranged beast! She killed every last one of them without hesitation or regret, savouring every moment of battle she had. They didn't even fight back. They couldn't!

She had killed them so fast that they didn't recognize what was happening.

As she finished them off, in an insane victory cry screamed loud enough to be heard across the entire country, she finally fell asleep, well-rested and ready for the next battle!
