Chapter 18 - Dimension God

As the fight was going on in the city, the reporters were commenting on it in real time. Shortly after the Energy Psycho attacked the Adrenaline Junkie, seemingly killing him to all onlooking parties, the news started to once again comment on the situation.

A reporter was commenting on the situation as it happened in real time. He didn't know what to say at all the mayhem & destruction. It was like nothing he's ever seen before. The entire world never expected a man whose only power is teleportation to be this dangerous.

Now the entire world knew.

The Adrenaline Junkie, a Chaotic Demon that nobody could escape from. No matter how far you run, he always follows, and no matter what you try to do, if he wants you dead, you will die by the sunsut.

The horrific sights as families mourned the terrorist attack that destroyed a city was saddening.

Many prayed for hope.

Many prayed for revenge.

Even more prayed for forgiveness.

Forgiveness from him.

The Chaotic Demon that exploded the city in a single night.

This one incident had ramifications for the entire world, and not a single person took this horrific insult lying down.

They all wanted to the Adrenaline Junkie to pay!

"It seems as if there was a giant battle here, where several Chaotic Demons all fought in the city. Plenty of people died in the fight."

Another reporter, desperately making newspaper copies of the insane battle that destroyed many homes and killed over 100,000 people, eventually stopped to look at his boss, who continued speaking.

"It is a grave tragedy, and the military will likely be continuing to make their bombs, even after this horrific incident. But not even they are above scrutiny. How could they let this happen? We've had incidents with Chaotic Demons in the past, but nothing to this level. It's a terrifying disaster that this event took place, and it will be written across the history books for centuries. As a species, humankind must come together. The entirety of humanity as one, and we must become strong amidst the tragedy. The entirety of the world will now be forced to lay down their endless might on but one man. All 6 Billion humans on this planet, and all 35 Million Celestial Angels! We are coming for him. We will kill the Adrenaline Junkie, and eradicate every trace of his existence from this world. He will be forgotten in death, and this great evil will be stamped out. Take warning, Adrenaline Junkie, if you are still alive, which most people still believe, we, the whole of humanity, are now your strongest enemy!"

As the tv clicked off and the reporter signed out, the other reporters stared in fear as to what was going to happen. A giant war was about to begin. A war against 1 man, the most wanted man in the entire world, the Adrenaline Junkie!

As many continued to speculate, hundreds of thousands of people, trying to guess the Adrenaline Junkie's location, last saw him in the War-Torn Nation, and thousands upon thousands of people, looking for revenge, migrated to the War-Torn Nation.

The War-Torn Nation became even more of a wreck, many of the outside invaders desperately trying to locate the Adrenaline Junkie, killing many people standing in their way, and completely taking it over like a militia. And the scariest part? These people were just ordinary civilians. They wanted blood! And they were going to get it!

-Meanwhile, in the War Torn Nation-

A woman, laughing, screamed over to a soldier in anger. "Hey, dumbfuck, Did you hear? The Freedom Junkie is here! He's in the War-Torn Nation as we speak! Ain't that fun?"

As one of the 4 Gods of the War-Torn Nation, this woman found this situation amazing.

"Freedom Junkie?" The soldier asked, confused. Wasn't he called the Adrenaline Junkie? Why was she calling him the Freedom Junkie?

She then continued to laugh. She wasn't afraid. She had a condition imbedded into her from childhood to never feel fear. In scary situations, she only laughed. Many people found it concerning.

She was a Chaotic Demon!

"I think it'd be fun to hunt this Freedom Junkie down. This one seems far more powerful than the others!" She shouted, looking at the Adrenaline Junkie like a piece of meat, a carcass to be toyed with, and thrown away.

Prey.

This woman was known for her godlike power, and was only an equal to the Energy Psycho herself. She was...

The Dimension God!

-Meanwhile, back at Jesse's whereabouts-

As I woke up from consciousness, I realized where I was.

"What? What is this place?" I said to myself, shocked at the situation. Volcano's bubbled in the distance, tearing apart broken cities with hot steaming lava.

Bright red lightning flew from the skies above!

Fighter Jets in the distance dropped bombs on the place, seemingly endlessly. It seemed as if I'd go deaf just from the sound. As I saw children fighting to the death, one kid starts scalping the face off of a grown man, and wears it as a mask, screaming out. "I am victorious!"

As I look around, cannonfire rains from the sky, and the air has an almost unbreathable atmosphere.

As I looked everywhere around me, there was only snow. Why was it black, though? I look at the black snow raining from the sky, and tasted it just to be sure. It was then that I came to the terrifying realization that what I thought was snow was actually the ashes of dead bodies flying all around me.

They'd been so destroyed that only ash left.

As I tried to teleport out of this pure hellscape of mayhem, I came to realize that my teleportation wouldn't let me. No matter how far away I teleported, I would end back up in this nightmare of a place.

As I desperately and hopelessly tried to teleport out of this place, I finally gave up, realizing it was impossible.

"Why can't I leave?" I said, shocked.

"And how did I even get here in the first place?"

And at that very moment, I met him...

A strange man, nearly 15 feet tall, wearing a weird mask, and standing on top of a giant wave of dead bodies.

"Where am I?" I asked, in desperate need of an answer. To that, from behind the mask, I heard a bloodcurdling voice that shot my hope of escaping down to zero.

"Hell."

As I looked around, I recognized it all. The acts of brutality, the ash snow, and the volcanos in the distance, destroying everything around.

I was in the War-Torn Nation.

A horrific place where anybody can live, and anybody can die.

And the man in front of me, it must be him. The Guerilla King. One of the 4 Gods of the War Torn Nation.

As the man started to fight me, I couldn't get ahold of my bearings!

The entire ground was so uneven, and it looked like it would cave in, only in an instant. The ground was bombed to hell, and only bedrock remained.

As I tried to escape, his entire body popped off like a rocket, shooting far away. As I looked up in the sky, at awe, I couldn't believe what I was even looking at.

"Fireworks!?"

As his whole body exploded, the explosions left ringing in my ears. His entire body shot out in many directions, all coming back to me.

As I tried to dodge the attacks, they only got faster & faster, flying at me wildly. The fireworks shot at me in a terrifying show of force, and even the sky looked beautiful, with bright vibrant colors of blue, green, red & yellow shooting out of the sky.

As I escaped out of the way, even more fireworks shot at me. Then I noticed. The giant man was carrying a cannon on his back! As he readied it to fire, he told me,

"You're the Adrenaline Junkie, right? This is for sending a million douchebags to fuck up my country, all for the purpose of killing you. Shouldn'ta made so many goddamn enemies for me to kill!"

What? What the fuck was he even saying!?

As he shot the cannon at me, it exploded in a blaze of fire and brimstone, falling through the sky. As I was nearly pushed back, the man himself not only controlled fireworks, but he began to turn into a firework! As his body shot out, it whooshed in the air, completely destroying the area, and blasting across the sky!

At that moment, as I thought I'd die, a giant wave of ice blocked the area. Thousands of ice crystals shined through the battlefield, as one woman stood in between me and my death.

The Cold Hearted!

"Nobody touches the Adrenaline Junkie! I need him!" She shouted out, sending a massive wave of ice crashing into the Guerilla King.

As he saw this, he snorted, and left, but not before yelling out some cryptic words. "When I kill the Energy Psycho and completely destroy my enemies with the Red Thread of Fate, i'll finally be able to escape this damn nation. And when I do, you outsiders will die a horrific death."

As he shot away in a blaze of fireworks, I couldn't help but sit in shock. The Cold Hearted... saved me?

Last time I met her, she wanted nothing more than to kill me! And how was she in the War Torn Country? It made no sense to me.

"Why did yo-" I asked, before being cut off by her icy stare.

"Listen, Adrenaline Junkie! I don't particularly like you, but we have a common enemy. Someone I'd like to kill even more than you. The Energy Psycho! I heard about what happened in New America. Even though I can't escape Hell, I can still murder her."

The Energy Psycho?

"Why do you want to kill her?" I asked, not getting the situation.

As I looked at her, anger rushed all across her face.

"She kidnapped me. And tortured me for days. Even now, the smell of blood makes me curdle. You have no idea what that woman's capable of."

As I looked into her eyes, I could instantly sense the trauma behind her gaze. She truly hated that woman.

"The truth is, I actually can't even remember how I got here." She said, strangely admitting something very personal.

"I have memory problems. Ever since I was a kid, I suffered from extreme memory loss. It might be alzeimers, but I don't really understand fully. Either way, this means... someday... I'll forget my best friend. The one you killed. It doesn't matter anyway, it's all pointless, now. The only thing that matters, is killing her."

As she says this, I ask one more question. "Okay, then why are people saying that they can't escape?"

She looks at me with defeated eyes.

"Didn't you try? Nobody can escape. It's like some kind of invisible barrier is keeping us from leaving. Why do you think we're all fighting? We're in an isolated nation, and to the natives, we're invaders!"

As she said that, everything started to click in my mind. She was right. When I tried to teleport out, it just pushed me back in. I didn't understand it at first, but the barrier likely somehow negated my teleportation.

"And how did I get here? Do you know?" I asked, trying to make sense of the situation.

"You don't know? You teleported here, like always. Although, you brought 2 people with you."

2 people? I don't remember teleporting to the war torn nation at all, let alone bringing people with me!

I decided to keep this a secret from the Cold Hearted for now. I had to figure out this mystery on my own.

As I pieced everything together, I only then realized how screwed I was. I couldn't escape! And not only that, but this was a place where people died so often that it was literally called Hell on Earth.

Even more so, I had questions. How did the Energy Psycho go to New America to fight me, does that mean she can escape? In order to get to New America, you have no choice but to leave the War Torn Country. She definitely had the capability to leave. I saw her in New America with my own 2 eyes. She even beat the shit outta me!

And wasn't that Vampire guy also from this place? Both him & the 5 Guerilla's that fought us all came from the War-Torn Nation. If they can leave and enter the country at will, yet others can't, than how?

How are they doing it?

It can't be a coincidence, right.

Ignoring that burning question, I just decided to face the person in front of me at that moment.

"Oh, and one more question." I asked.

"God, how many fucking questions are you gonna ask?" She said, clearly annoyed.

Ignoring her anger, I asked only 1 that I thought was relevant. "That guerilla king guy seemed to know me, what did he mean when he was talking about me sending people to get him."

She laughed a bit, and gave a smug smile. "You mean, you haven't heard? You're world famous, now! And now that you're in Hell, the entire world is looking for you. You've gotten popular since we last met."

As I heard that, my face started beaming, from eye to eye. "Famous?" I say, really excited.

But then I realized what I was famous for, and quickly shut up. Dropping an atomic bomb on a giant city wasn't exactly something to be proud of. Either way, despite knowing what I did, that firework guy seemed pretty fearless going up against me like that.

And how long was I out, for me to wake up, and already have people know who I was. At first, I thought I'd taken a 3 minute nap after being defeated by the Energy Psycho, but now, I felt like it was closer to 3 days.

And people knew I was in this nation, too. And they didn't kill me while I was unconscious. Something surely didn't add up, but regardless, I was happy to be alive.

I stared into the Cold Hearted's eyes.

"Well, if that's the case, then let's team up!" I said with a smile, glad to have a companion to join me on the journey.

But she didn't look so pleased. I could tell...

She hated me.

"Fine. Let's team up and kill her."
