When a Filipino got Isekai'd with a twist!
"Only I can summon those!"
Chapter 37: glimmer of hope!
As the dark energy ball hurtled toward Caine and his friends, the deities in the white room exchanged worried glances. Lycana's eyes shone with tears, her voice barely above a whisper. "We can't just watch them die. We have to act."
Antares nodded, his jaw clenched. "Agreed. We can't change the course of fate, but we can... nudge it."
Cique's eyes sparkled with understanding. "I'll create a temporary rift. We can teleport them to safety."
Dern Riona's expression softened, her voice filled with a hint of warmth. "And I'll ensure their wounds are healed. They've earned that much."
With a nod, the deities raised their hands, and a brilliant light enveloped Caine and his friends.
You could then cut to a scene where Caine and his friends wake up in a peaceful, unfamiliar location, with no sign of Azazel or the battlefield. They could be surrounded by lush greenery or in a cozy, mystical chamber.
Caine's eyes fluttered open, his head pounding with a dull ache. He sat up, looking around in confusion. They were in a serene forest glade, surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sounds of nature.
Chris and Vismond stirred beside him, their faces etched with relief and confusion. "Where... where are we?" Chris asked, his voice weak but grateful.
Caine shook his head, still trying to clear the fog. "I don't know, but I think... I think we were saved."
As they struggled to their feet, they noticed that their wounds were gone, their bodies healed. A small, enigmatic smile played on Caine's lips. "Looks like we owe someone a thank you."
The serene atmosphere enveloped them, a stark contrast to the chaos they had just escaped. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled patterns on the forest floor, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers. Caine took a deep breath, feeling the weight of their near-death experience lift, if only slightly.
Vismond, still rubbing the sleep from his eyes, looked around in awe. "This place... it feels different. Almost... magical."
Chris nodded, his expression shifting from confusion to wonder. "Do you think the deities really saved us? I mean, we were just about to—"
"Die," Caine finished for him, his voice steady. "Yeah, I know. But we're here now, and that's what matters."
As they gathered their bearings, a soft rustling in the bushes caught their attention. From the underbrush emerged a figure cloaked in shimmering light, ethereal and graceful. The being stepped forward, revealing a face that radiated warmth and kindness.
"Welcome, brave souls," the figure said, their voice melodic and soothing. "You are safe now, thanks to the intervention of the deities."
Caine's heart raced as he recognized the figure. "Lycana?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
The deity smiled, her eyes sparkling with compassion. "Yes, Caine. It is I. You have shown great courage in the face of darkness, and we could not let you perish."
Chris stepped forward, his brow furrowed with concern. "But what about Azazel? What if he comes after us again?"
Lycana's expression turned serious. "Azazel is powerful, but he is not invincible. The deities are watching over you, and we will not allow him to harm you again. However, you must prepare yourselves. The battle is far from over."
"Well, we need to get strong while trying to avoid facing them. Right now we're nowhere near beating these four demon kings, let alone the demon lord," Caine said, head down.
"Yeah, those kings are on another level. So we need to get strong, I mean really fast," Vismond added.
comes not only from power but also from unity and understanding. You must learn to harness your abilities and work together. The path ahead will be challenging, but you are not alone."
Caine exchanged glances with Chris and Vismond, a sense of determination igniting within him. "So, what do we do first?" he asked, his voice steadying.
Lycana gestured for them to follow her deeper into the glade. "There is a sacred grove nearby, a place where the energies of the earth converge. It is there that you will begin your training. You will learn to channel your strengths and discover new abilities while we delay the attacks from the demon armies."
As they walked, the forest seemed to come alive around them. The trees whispered secrets in the wind, and the vibrant colors of the flowers pulsed with energy. Caine felt a sense of peace wash over him, but the weight of their mission loomed large in his mind.
"What if we fail?" Chris asked, his voice tinged with anxiety. "What if we can't become strong enough in time? Lycana paused, turning to face them with a reassuring smile. "Failure is a part of growth, my dear friends. It is through our struggles that we find our true strength. Remember, even the mightiest trees were once mere seeds, and they had to weather storms to reach their full potential."
Caine felt a flicker of hope at her words. "So, you're saying we need to embrace the challenges ahead?"
"Exactly," Lycana replied, her voice imbued with warmth. "You must trust in yourselves and in each other. The bond you share is a powerful force, one that can overcome even the darkest of adversities."
Vismond nodded, his resolve strengthening. "Then we'll train harder than ever. We won't let Azazel or the demon kings take away our chance to protect what we care about."
"So what about Josh and Kieth? Are they ok?" Chris asks.
"Sir heroes, apparently only Josh's location is appearing on our map for Sir Kieth. We don't know how he is or where he is, but right now all we know is he is still alive, but barely, and that is all we know currently. But fear not, dear heroes, we will search for him and send him to you. But right now, focus on getting stronger."
As they continued deeper into the glade, the air shimmered with a palpable energy, and Caine could feel the weight of their mission pressing down on him. He glanced at Chris and Vismond, their expressions mirroring his determination. They were in this together, and together they would rise to the challenge.
Meanwhile, somewhere in a dark void
Serena and the others open their eyes.
"Wha—where are we?" she asked, looking around. As she turned her head to her right, she saw a familiar body. As she looked closer, her eyes widened because she recognized him. It was Kieth. Unconscious bleeding all over his body. So she rushes to him and tries to heal him, but her magic doesn't work, and she hears a loud sound and mechanical voice.
System notification!
Error, error! Magic user isn't recognized as the user of the zone!
Error! Unidentified use of magic is prohibited inside the pocket zone. Please refrain from using any. Because it may disrupt the shielding that hides the zone.
So she lowered her hand, ripped her skirt, pulled out a tiny needle, and attached a string from her skirt to it. And start sawing Kieth's large wounds.
"Please don't die on us, sir hero. You need to stay alive! You said you and your friends (the other heroes) will be going back to your home world together." As she said that, the dark void lit up, and the surrounding area became an emergency room full of medical items and devices. And another voice rang.
Notice!
Unidentified being detected. Status is not hostile.
The system will provide the unidentified person the necessary help to patch up the user's wounds. Please follow the system instructions step by step to ensure the success of the operation for the user. Failure to do so will result in the user's death. And the person is trapped in the zone for eternity.
As Serena tended to Kieth's wounds, she couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over her. The system's notification had been a surprise, but at least Kieth was safe for the moment.
She followed the system's instructions, using the medical supplies provided to stabilize Kieth's condition. The process was painstaking, but she worked tirelessly, refusing to give up.
System notification alert
User's health is diminishing; please move quickly before the user's health points drop to zero.
Current health points: 300/6200.
System notification!
System rebooting progress is at 26%.
You can now access your item box and mapping.
And because of the situation the user was in. The system used its own pocket dimension to save the user, but by doing so, some of the user's companions were swept in. They were unable to go out due to the user's condition. User health must return at least 60% before letting him out.
Addition: All of the rewards and stock-up achievements will be halted for the time being while the system is still rebooting.
Serena's eyes narrowed as she read the notification. What did it mean? Why were they trapped in this pocket dimension?
She looked down at Kieth, his face pale and drawn. She had to save him, no matter what.
With renewed determination, Serena continued to tend to Kieth's wounds, following the system's instructions to the letter. She would save him, no matter what it took.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the system notified her that Kieth's health had reached 40%. The emergency room began to fade away, replaced by a familiar landscape. As Keith's breathing stabilizes.
And the operating room became a normal hospital room." The hell? It's changed again," she said.
Serena blinked in disbelief as the sterile, clinical environment of the emergency room transformed into a cozy hospital room, complete with soft lighting and the faint scent of antiseptic. The walls were painted a calming shade of blue, and a window revealed a bright, sunny day outside. She looked down at Kieth, who was now breathing steadily, his color returning to his cheeks.
"Kieth?" she whispered, gently shaking his shoulder. "Can you hear me?"
His eyelids fluttered open, revealing a mix of confusion and relief. "Serena? What happened? Where are we?"
"You were hurt," she explained, her voice trembling with emotion. "I found you unconscious, and I had to use the system to save you. We're in some kind of hospital room now, but I don't know how we got here."
"Used? You? How? "Kieth weakly asks as he sits up and Serena helps him to sit.
"Don't know, it just happened. Maybe your system recognizes me as not a threat, so it helps me tend to your wounds."
"Ok, so how the hell are we in my world now? Kieth asks, looking at the window as they see many skyscrapers and planes flying by.
"So, sir hero, is this your original world?"
"Yap—" but before he can continue, the system chimes in.
Notice: user is now fully awake, but in his weakened state. User needs to recover at least 60% of health before going out to the zone.
"So you're operational now."
Answer!
No!
"It seems you are."
No!
"You are."
No, I'm not!
You are damn it!
Nope, no idea what the user is bubbling. User needs to sleep. Please inject him with this (and a tranquilizer appears in Serena's hand).
System notification alert!
System rebooting progress has now reached 30%.
User can now access your lower-tier weapons, such as powdered pistols, etc.
Serena stared at the tranquilizer in her hand, her heart racing. "Wait, what? You want me to inject him with this?" she exclaimed, glancing between Kieth and the system's notification.
Kieth, still groggy, looked at the tranquilizer with a mix of confusion and concern. "No way! I'm not letting you put me to sleep again. I need to know what's going on and how to get back to the others."
The system chimed in, its mechanical voice unwavering. "User must comply with the system's directives to ensure optimal recovery. Failure to do so may result in further health deterioration."
Serena bit her lip, torn between her instinct to protect Kieth and the system's insistence. "But what if it's a trap? What if it puts you in danger?"
Kieth shook his head, determination flickering in his eyes. "I trust you, Serena. If the system thinks it's necessary, then maybe we should listen. But I need to be awake to help you figure this out. But you, system, you need to explain things to me after I regain my consciousness."
The system's mechanical voice responded, "Affirmative. User will receive a full briefing upon reaching optimal health levels. However, immediate compliance is recommended to prevent further complications."
Serena hesitated, glancing at Kieth, who was still visibly weak but trying to muster his strength. "I don't want to put you in danger, Kieth. But if the system says this is necessary…"
Kieth took a deep breath, his resolve hardening. "I trust you, Serena. Just make sure to wake me up as soon as I'm better. We need to find the others and figure out what's happening."
With a reluctant nod, Serena prepared the tranquilizer, her hands trembling slightly. "Okay, but I'll be right here when you wake up. I promise."
As she injected the tranquilizer into Kieth's arm, she felt a pang of guilt. The moment the needle pierced his skin, Kieth's eyes fluttered shut, and his body relaxed against the hospital bed. Serena watched anxiously as the system's notifications flashed before her eyes.
