When a Filipino got Isekai'd with a twist!
"Only I can summon those!"
Chapter 35: Desperate hope!
Caine's heart sank as he watched Emperor Vlad step into the portal, the weight of his words hanging heavily in the air. The emperor's plea for them not to die felt like a bitter pill to swallow, because in this situation, they got overwhelmed by the demon army and kings; there is no escape other than dying fighting. "We won't lose this war; we will win!" Caine shouted, but the portal shimmered ominously, the shadows swirling with a life of their own.
Azazel's laughter echoed around them, a cruel reminder of their predicament. "Ah, but you see, brave hero, the choice has been made. The emperor has chosen his path, and now you must choose yours. Will you fight or flee? The choice is yours to make. Besides, if we kill you all this early, who's going to fight us? You heroes are the best entertainment for us in this war." The demon king's eyes glinted with malice, relishing the turmoil he had sown among the defenders.
Caine clenched his fists, the heat of anger coursing through him. "We are not your entertainment, Azazel! We are the last line of defense for our people!" His voice rang out, defiance mingling with desperation. Around him, the remnants of the once-mighty army stood resolute, their faces a mix of fear and determination. They had come too far to turn back now.
Azazel stepped closer, his presence suffocating. "Oh, but you are! Every clash, every scream, every drop of blood spilled is a symphony to my ears. You think you fight for glory, for honor? No, you fight for my amusement!" He gestured grandly, as if conducting an orchestra. "And I must say, your performance has been quite... entertaining thus far, so if you entertain me enough, maybe I'll take my army and leave this place for now. How's that?" As he says that, Cain uses his blink skill and teleports behind Azazel.
Caine's heart raced as he reappeared behind the demon king, the air crackling with the energy of his blink skill. He had to seize this moment to turn the tide of their grim fate. With a swift motion, he drew his sword, its blade gleaming with a fierce light that seemed to push back the encroaching shadows. "You underestimate us, Azazel!" he shouted, swinging the sword with all his might. But he hit nothing because Azazel's figure slowly faded and appeared behind him. And about to attack Cain when Vismond and Chris appear in the middle of them, stopping the attack, but their strength can't stop the full force of the attack of a level 500 (awaken, which means if a person's level has an awaken in his/her level, it's because they've reached the next stage of evolution; in other words, his level is 1500, and Cain and the others are just at level 81).
Get back, Caine! "Vismond shouted, his voice strained as he braced himself against the overwhelming force of the demon king's impending attack. Chris, wielding his twin daggers, stood ready to defend, but both knew they were outmatched.
Azazel's eyes glinted with amusement as he regarded the trio. "How noble of you to try and protect your friend," he sneered, his voice dripping with condescension. "But you are merely delaying the inevitable." With a flick of his wrist, a dark energy coalesced around his hand, swirling like a tempest. Sending the three into the near by walls crashing.
The impact was bone-jarring, and Caine felt the air rush from his lungs as he collided with the cold stone wall. Pain radiated through his body, but he forced himself to focus, to shake off the disorientation. Vismond and Chris were sprawled nearby, groaning but still conscious. They had taken the brunt of Azazel's attack, and Caine's heart ached at the sight of his friends suffering for his sake.
"Get up!" Caine shouted, his voice hoarse but filled with urgency. "We can't let him win! We have to fight!" He struggled to his feet, his sword still clutched tightly in his hand, its light flickering as if sensing the darkness surrounding them.
Vismond groaned, pushing himself up with a grimace. "Caine, we're outmatched! We need a plan, not just brute force!" His eyes darted around, searching for any advantage they could exploit. Chris, still on the ground, nodded in agreement, his daggers clattering as he shifted to a sitting position.
"Alright, I'm sorry I wasn't thinking straight. Vismond cast agility boost and cursed resistance and exorcism buff on us, while you, Chris, provide debuff at Azazel and slow spell and healing spells. While I'll fight him head-on."
Caine's heart raced as he formulated a plan, the urgency of their situation sharpening his focus. "We need to work together," he said, his voice steadying as he looked at his friends. "Vismond, you're right. We can't just charge in blindly. We need to use our skills strategically."
Vismond nodded, his expression serious. "I'll cast an agility boost first. It'll give us the speed we need to dodge his attacks. Then I'll follow up with a curse resistance and exorcism buff to protect us from his dark magic."
Chris, now fully alert, gripped his daggers tightly. "I'll focus on debuffing him. If I can slow him down, it'll give us a better chance to strike. And I'll keep an eye on your health, Caine. You need to stay in the fight."
Caine felt a surge of gratitude for his friends. They were battered and bruised, but their resolve was unyielding. "Alright, let's do this!" he shouted, determination igniting within him.
As Vismond began to chant, the air around them shimmered with energy. "Agility boost!" he called, and a wave of light enveloped them, enhancing their speed and reflexes. Caine felt the rush of power coursing through him, his movements becoming lighter and more fluid.
"Curse resistance!" Vismond continued, his voice steady despite the chaos around them. A protective barrier formed around the trio, shimmering with a faint glow that pushed back the encroaching darkness. "Exorcism buff!" he added, and a second layer of protection enveloped them, bolstering their defenses against Azazel's dark magic.
Caine could feel the weight of despair lifting slightly as he prepared for the fight ahead. "Now, Chris!" he urged, his heart pounding in anticipation.
Chris sprang to his feet, his daggers gleaming in the dim light. "Debuff!" he shouted, launching a flurry of light lances imbued with weights times 10 debuff toward Azazel. The blades whistled through the air, aimed directly at the demon king of cruelty. "So boring! What else can you do, other than throwing flashy spells? It looks like the summoner hero is more dangerous than you guys!" Azazel laughs; his voice echoes in the throne room.
Caine's heart raced as he watched the light lances streak toward Azazel, but the demon king merely waved his hand dismissively. The lances shattered against an invisible barrier, dissipating into harmless sparks. Azazel's laughter filled the air, mocking their efforts. "Is that the best you can do? How quaint!"
But Caine refused to be disheartened. "We're just getting started!" he shouted, his voice cutting through the demon's taunts. With newfound speed from Vismond's agility boost, he charged forward, his sword raised high. The light from the blade pulsed with energy, illuminating the darkened throne room.
"Vismond, keep the buffs coming!" Caine called out, his determination igniting a fire within him. He could feel the power of his friends bolstering him, and he was ready to unleash everything he had.
Vismond nodded, his focus unwavering. "I'll keep the buffs active! Just keep him busy!" He began to chant again, weaving spells of protection and enhancement, his voice steady despite the chaos.
Caine closed the distance to Azazel, who was still grinning, clearly enjoying the spectacle. "You think you can defeat me, little hero? You're nothing but a flickering candle in the storm!"
With a fierce battle cry, Caine swung his sword, aiming for Azazel's midsection. The demon king sidestepped effortlessly, his movements fluid and mocking. "Too slow!" he taunted, but Caine was ready. He pivoted, using the momentum to bring the sword back around in a sweeping arc. But Azazel just lifted his finger, and the sword hit it. And Cain's sword shattered into pieces as his eyes widened in shock. Azazel's creepy smile greeted him, and they got struck by a barrage of small air bullets from the demon king of cruelty's finger.

Caine staggered back, the pain radiating through his body like fire. He could barely process the notifications flashing in his mind, each one a grim reminder of how outmatched they were. His vision blurred for a moment, but he forced himself to focus, to push through the agony. He could hear Vismond and Chris shouting, their voices filled with urgency and concern.
"Caine! Get up! This is not a good place to die! " Vismond yelled, his voice cutting through the haze of pain. "We need you! " He added, gritting his teeth, also their health went down significantly because of those last attacks.
Caine struggled to regain his footing, the world around him spinning as he fought against the pain. He could feel the warmth of blood trickling down his side, but he couldn't afford to give in. Not now. Not when his friends were counting on him.
"Vismond! Chris! " he shouted, forcing the words out despite the agony. "We can't let him win! We have to keep fighting! "
With a deep breath, he focused on the flickering light within him, the remnants of his spirit refusing to be extinguished. He could feel the energy from Vismond's buffs still coursing through him, a lifeline in the darkness.Well, it's almost time, so we keep stalling," he said while trying to still himself and opening his item box, but his eyes widened when he saw the item inside. "Well, well, you fucker, don't fail to provide us help." As he said that, he remembered before Kieth left to meet the dwarven king.
"Hey Cain, do you have a moment?" Kieth asks, and Cain turns his head towards Kieth; eyebrows rise. "Yeah, what is it?"
"Well, before I go, I know you can make use of it. So I'll give it to you, but it's one use only, but it can provide some help in a dire situation," he said as he gave him his trusted mom's slippers (level 5) (can now land a critical hit at the much stronger opponents, and its effect will be double and a new skill will be created. Mom's punishment level 1: effect: all stats and attack will be double or triple depending on the level of the enemies, and if the user's health goes down at a critical level, the buff will reach maximum (x10 of the boost), but only at 1 minute.
Mom's wrath level 6: Once you hit the stronger opponent and land a critical hit, you will receive a healing buff; your life points will regen within 60 seconds. And the stun effect will be longer. And all of the enemies allies will be stunned too, even if they're high-ranking demons.
Caine's heart raced as he stared at the item in his inventory, the slippers glowing faintly with an otherworldly light. He could hardly believe what he was seeing. Kieth's parting gift was now their only hope against the overwhelming power of Azazel.
"Caine! Focus! " Vismond's voice broke through his thoughts, urgency lacing his tone. "We need you back in the fight! "
"Now, I think we're not going to die," Cain confidently said to his friends.
Caine felt a surge of determination as he clutched the slippers tightly in his hand. The weight of his friends' hopes rested on his shoulders, and he couldn't let them down. "I have a plan!" he shouted, his voice ringing with newfound confidence. "I just need a moment!"
Vismond and Chris exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of concern and curiosity. "What are you thinking?" Chris asked, his voice steady despite the chaos around them.
Caine took a deep breath, feeling the energy from Vismond's buffs still coursing through him. "These slippers... they can turn the tide of this battle. But I need to be at my best to use them. We have to distract Azazel long enough for me to activate their power."
Vismond nodded, his eyes narrowing with determination. "I can keep casting buffs and healing spells. We just need to keep him occupied."
"Right," Chris added, his daggers glinting in the dim light. "I'll keep him off balance. If I can get close enough, I can land a few hits to buy you time."
Caine felt a rush of gratitude for his friends. They were battered and bruised, but their resolve was unyielding. "Okay, let's do this!" he shouted, adrenaline surging through him.
As Vismond began to chant again, Caine focused on the slippers, feeling their energy pulsing in his hand. "Agility boost!" Vismond called, and the familiar wave of light enveloped them once more, enhancing their speed and reflexes.
"Curse resistance!" Vismond continued, his voice steady despite the chaos around them. The protective barrier shimmered around them, bolstering their defenses against Azazel's dark magic.
Now, Chris! "Caine urged, his heart pounding in anticipation.
Chris sprang into action, darting toward Azazel with a flurry of movements. "Debuff!" he shouted, launching a series of light-infused daggers at the demon king. The spears whistled through the air, aimed directly at Azazel.
Azazel, still grinning, waved his hand dismissively. "You've proven you're selves! Go on, entertain me more!" he sneered, but Chris was already moving, using the momentum to dodge Azazel's counterattack.
