When a Filipino got Isekai'd with a twist!

"Only I can summon those!"

Chapter 33: brawl

The explosion rocked the alley, sending debris flying in all directions. Keith felt the force of the blast push him back. As he got flung away, he saw Mochi in the air and grabbed her, and he instinctively shielded her using his body. The world around him was engulfed in a fiery inferno, the flames licking at the walls and illuminating the chaos in a hellish glow.

As the smoke began to clear, Keith struggled to his feet, his body aching from the impact. He could see the demon's charred remains smoldering in the wreckage, the once-menacing creature reduced to nothing more than a pile of ash and burnt flesh. The sight filled him with a mix of relief and exhaustion.

"Mochi!" he called out, ignoring the large burn on his back. As he scanned the area, his companion (Mochi) meowed at him. The little creature emerged from his arms, her fur singed but her spirit unbroken. She looked up at him with wide, concerned eyes, and he knelt down and put her down as he smiled at her blood dripping down his head. "Are you okay, girl?"

Mochi nuzzled against his leg, her purring a soft contrast to the chaos surrounding them. Keith could feel the warmth of her body against his skin, a small comfort amidst the devastation. He reached down to stroke her head, his fingers trembling slightly as he assessed the damage. The burn on his back throbbed, but the adrenaline coursing through him dulled the pain for now.

"Let's…get outta here, Mochi…ugh," he said, his voice hoarse as his ribcage ached, but they needed to move because the demons were at their back, so he gritted his teeth and grabbed Mochi. As he glanced around the alley, the remnants of the explosion still smoldered. The air was thick with smoke, and the acrid scent of burnt materials filled his nostrils. He could hear distant sirens wailing, a reminder that help was on the way, but he knew they couldn't wait. But his vision began to blur as his broken ribs and bleeding head caught up with him. "Damn it, not here; I need to get out of here first," he said as he struggled to walk and support his body with his one arm, preventing himself from falling down.

With each step, Keith felt the ground shift beneath him, the debris crunching underfoot as he fought to maintain his balance. The alley was a maze of destruction, and he had to navigate through the remnants of what had once been a bustling street. The shadows of the buildings loomed over him, their charred facades a grim reminder of the chaos that had just unfolded. "We're almost there, just a little bit…." As he said that, his body finally gave in. As he fell down, before his vision faded he heard some muffled voice in the distance but couldn't understand it before his fading consciousness, because he couldn't move or open his eyes. Before darkness enveloped him, Keith felt a gentle weight on his chest—Mochi, as she changed her body size to cushion Keith's body, pressing against him, a comforting presence in the midst of his fading consciousness. The muffled voices grew louder, but they were distant, like echoes from another world. He tried to focus, to push through the haze, but his body refused to cooperate."

The last thing he remembered was the warmth of Mochi's fur and the faint sound of sirens drawing closer, a promise of safety that felt just out of reach.

Meanwhile in Josh's party.

As the group rode their horse near the dwarven castle, they heard a loud explosion and gunshots.

"Fuck! It's Kieth! He's fighting! Come on! Let's hurry and help him!" Josh shouted as his party followed his order with a worried look.

"Please, Sir Kieth, be safe!" Princess Lyra said.

The urgency in Josh's voice propelled the group forward, their horses galloping at full speed toward the source of the chaos. The sound of the explosion still echoed in their ears, a grim reminder of the danger that awaited them. As they approached the alley, the acrid smell of smoke and burnt debris filled the air, and the sight that greeted them was one of devastation. As they reached the plaza, they were greeted by demons.

"Lariel and Princess Lyra! Cover us and provide buffs! Sir Aleric, cover our rear! And Keriel! The sky is yours! Do your thing!" "she replied as she transformed into her dragonoid form. "And Grath, follow me; we'll push in! "Josh ordered as he and Grath charged forward.

The chaos of the plaza unfolded before them like a nightmare. Demons, grotesque and snarling, emerged from the shadows, their eyes glinting with malice. The air crackled with tension as Josh and Grath charged into the fray, weapons drawn and hearts pounding.

Lariel! Help the captives!? "Josh shouted, his voice cutting through the din of battle. He could feel the adrenaline surging through him, fueling his determination to reach Keith. "Hey! Do you see the summoner hero? (Kieth)" as he grabs the arm of one of the panicking captives that got recaptured again.

Lariel nodded, her expression fierce as she unleashed a wave of water that enveloped the captives, granting them a protective shield. "I see him! He's down the alley!" she shouted back, her voice steady despite the chaos. "But we need to clear a path!"

Princess Lyra, her hands glowing with magic, began to chant incantations, her voice rising above the clamor. "By the light of the stars, grant us strength!" She cast a series of buffs on her allies, their bodies shimmering with newfound power. The air around them crackled with energy, and Josh felt the weight of Lyra's magic bolster his resolve.

"Grath! On me! he shouts as he charges at the large demon holding a large pillar as his weapon. As he uses his skill, shining slash.

The blade of light sliced through the air, cleaving the demon's weapon in two. The creature roared in pain and surprise, staggering back as Grath pressed the attack. Josh followed closely, his sword raised high, ready to strike. The two of them moved in perfect sync, a well-rehearsed dance of combat that had been honed through countless battles. As the giant demon fell. Something fell down at their back, and they could feel the dark aura from it.

"Heh, so this is the boss battle?" Josh said as he slowly turned and faced the newly arrived demon as it spoke.

"Hihihi. What luck I have?! To face one of the human buffoons (heroes), I Keeiri—" As she was about to say her full name, Josh cut her off by saying her name, but in the wrong way, "Kee-sha-kira!" He said, and he could hear one of her vines pop.

The demon's expression twisted into a snarl, her eyes narrowing dangerously. "You dare mock me, human?" Keeirishika hissed, her voice dripping with venom. The air around her shimmered with dark energy, and the ground trembled as she summoned tendrils of shadow that writhed and lashed out like serpents.

Josh felt a chill run down his spine, but he stood his ground, gripping his sword tightly. "I don't care what your name is, demon! You're going down!" He glanced at Grath, who was already preparing for the fight, his muscles coiled like a spring.

"Sir hero, I'll make an opening!" Grath shouted, his voice booming with confidence. The two heroes charged forward, their weapons gleaming in the dim light of the plaza.

"Heh, lead the way, my guy," Josh replied.

Keeirishika laughed, a sound that echoed ominously through the chaos. "Foolish mortals! You think you can defeat me? I am one of the nine lieutenants of the Demon Lord!" With a flick of her wrist, she sent a wave of dark energy surging toward them.

Josh barely had time to react as the dark wave surged toward him, its malevolent energy crackling in the air. He instinctively raised his sword, channeling the magic Princess Lyra had bestowed upon him. The blade glowed with a radiant light as the dark energy collided with his sword.

As it exploded in a shower of sparks, illuminating the plaza for a brief moment.

"Well, how's that?"

Josh shouted, his voice filled with defiance as he stood firm against the onslaught. The radiant light from his sword pushed back the darkness, creating a barrier that shielded him and Grath from the worst of Keeirishika's attack. The air crackled with energy, and the ground beneath them trembled as the two forces clashed.

Grath seized the moment, charging forward with a battle cry that echoed through the plaza. "Now, Josh!" he yelled, his muscles straining as he swung his weapon with all his might. The blade of light arced through the air, aimed directly at Keeirishika.

The demon's eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly regained her composure. With a flick of her wrist, she summoned a wall of shadow to intercept Grath's attack. The two forces collided, sending shockwaves rippling through the air. The ground beneath them cracked, and debris flew in all directions.

"Keep pushing!" Josh shouted, rallying his strength. He could feel the adrenaline coursing through his veins, fueling his determination. "We can't let her regroup!"

As Grath and Josh pressed their attack, Lariel continued to shield the captives, her water barrier shimmering with protective magic. "I can hold them off for a bit longer!" she called out, her voice steady despite the chaos. "But you need to finish this quickly!"

Princess Lyra, her hands glowing with magic, unleashed a torrent of spells that rained down upon the demons, creating openings for her allies. "Focus on the lieutenant! We need to take her down!" she urged, her voice rising above the din of battle.

The battle raged on; the plaza transformed into a chaotic battleground where the clash of steel and the roar of demons filled the air. Josh and Grath fought side by side, their movements synchronized as they pressed the attack against Keeirishika, the demon lieutenant whose dark energy threatened to engulf them.

"Grath, flank her left!" Josh shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos. He could see the determination in his friend's eyes as Grath nodded, shifting his stance to circle around the demon.

Keeirishika, sensing the encroaching threat, unleashed a wave of shadowy tendrils that lashed out at Grath. "You think you can outmaneuver me, foolish mortals?" she hissed, her voice dripping with malice. The tendrils writhed like serpents, seeking to ensnare him.

But Grath was quick. He dodged to the side, his muscles coiling as he prepared to counterattack. "Don't underestimate the power of muscles and friendship!" he roared, swinging his weapon in a wide arc. The blade of light cut through the darkness, severing the tendrils before they could reach him.

Josh felt a surge of pride as he watched Grath's impressive display of strength and agility. "That's our meathead for you," he shouted, his voice filled with encouragement. The two of them were a well-oiled machine, their bond forged through countless battles and shared hardships.

As Grath continued to press the attack, Josh took a moment to assess the battlefield. The plaza was a chaotic whirlwind of combat, with demons clashing against his allies. Lariel was still holding the captives safe, her water barrier shimmering with protective magic, while Princess Lyra unleashed a barrage of spells that lit up the night sky. "Holy lance."

The air crackled with energy as Princess Lyra's incantation took form, a radiant lance of light materializing in her hands. With a swift motion, she hurled it toward Keeirishika, the lance piercing through the darkness like a beacon of hope. The demon lieutenant barely had time to react as the holy lance struck her shoulder, causing her to stagger back with a furious snarl.

"You think your pathetic light can harm me?" Keeirishika spat, her voice laced with venom. The wound glowed with a searing light, and for a moment, the shadows around her flickered as if in fear. But the demon quickly regained her composure, her eyes narrowing with rage. "I will show you the true power of darkness!"

Josh seized the moment, charging forward with Grath at his side. "Now's our chance! Keep the pressure on!" he shouted, his voice filled with determination. The two heroes surged toward Keeirishika, their weapons raised high, ready to strike.

Grath, muscles straining with effort, swung his weapon in a wide arc, aiming for the demon's midsection. "You won't get away this time!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the chaos. The blade of light glimmered as it sliced through the air, aiming to cleave the demon in two.

Keeirishika, sensing the impending attack, summoned a wall of shadow to shield herself. The two forces collided with a deafening crash, sending shockwaves rippling through the plaza. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and debris rained down around them.

"Don't let her move away! From "In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might beware my power…Heaven's judgement!" Josh shouted, rallying his strength.

The air crackled with energy as Josh invoked the ancient words, channeling the magic that surged within him. A radiant light enveloped him, illuminating the darkness that surrounded Keeirishika. The demon's eyes widened in shock as the power of the incantation took form, a brilliant beam of light coalescing above them.

"Grath! Now!" Josh shouted, his voice booming with authority. Grath, sensing the moment of opportunity, charged forward with renewed vigor, his weapon raised high. The two heroes moved in perfect synchrony, their hearts beating as one as they prepared to unleash their combined might.

With a fierce battle cry, Grath swung his weapon down, the blade of light slicing through the air with blinding speed. At the same time, Josh thrust his hand forward, directing the radiant beam toward Keeirishika. The two forces collided, creating a dazzling explosion of light that illuminated the entire plaza.

Keeirishika's scream pierced the air, a sound filled with rage and disbelief as the light engulfed her. The shadows that had once surrounded her flickered and writhed, desperately trying to shield their master from the onslaught. But the combined power of Josh and Grath was too strong, too relentless.

"Feel the light of justice!" Josh shouted, his voice echoing through the chaos. The radiant energy surged forward, breaking through the demon's defenses and striking her directly. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the plaza, and the ground trembled beneath their feet.

As the light began to fade, the remnants of Keeirishika's dark aura dissipated, leaving behind only a faint shimmer of shadow. The demon staggered back, her form flickering as if she were struggling to maintain her shape. "You… you will pay for this!" she hissed, her voice filled with venom and fury.

"Heh, do you accept coins?" Josh taunts, imitating Kieth's rebats. Keeirishika's eyes blazed with fury, her form flickering as she struggled to maintain her composure. "You think this is over, human? I will return, and when I do, I will make you suffer!" Her voice dripped with malice, but the confidence that had once radiated from her was now tinged with desperation.

Josh and Grath exchanged a glance, their expressions a mix of determination and defiance. "No, you aren't," Josh replied, his voice steady despite the chaos around them. "You're not getting away this time!"

With a fierce battle cry, Josh and Grath surged forward, their weapons gleaming with the remnants of their combined magic. The plaza was still a whirlwind of chaos, but their focus was solely on Keeirishika, the demon lieutenant who had dared to threaten their world.

"Grath, flank her again!" Josh shouted, his voice cutting through the din of battle. Grath nodded, muscles coiling as he prepared to charge. The two heroes had fought side by side long enough to anticipate each other's moves, and they were determined to finish this fight.

Keeirishika, sensing the impending threat, summoned a swirling vortex of shadows around her, tendrils reaching out like grasping hands. "You think you can defeat me so easily?" she hissed, her voice dripping with contempt. "I am the darkness that consumes all!"

But Josh and Grath were undeterred. "Don't be sure about that, bitch!!" Josh shouted back, his sword raised high. "Grath! On me!" As he shouted, they moved forward as Grath punched the ground, sending debris and smoke to Keeirishika, blocking her vision, and Josh didn't miss that opportunity when Keeirishika covered her eyes from debris as he flash-stepped at her back and swung his sword so fast Keeirishika didn't have time to react. As Josh's sword connected to her back, her eyes widened.
