"Kick him in a side, how does she look? Is she really pretty? Is she friendly? Would I be able to make her my friend? What do you think?" Ereza asked.
Nicolas couldn't believe that his cousins were asking such questions. He was amazed by his self-control.
He was amazed by how they are still alive.
He nodded his head.
"When are you planning to introduce her to the pack? And why you didn't tell her that she's your mate and why the f*ck she can't feel the mate bond? She is supposed to feel it herself," Aaron, his another cousin said.
He signed in relief after finally finding a cousin with brain and common sense.
"Maybe that's because she's a human. I am not sure but whatever it is, I can't expose anything about our bond now to her. She just got out of an trauma. I don't want to push more responsibility on her now," he said.
"But I think that you are wrong. As you just said that she has a bad past. If you expose things to her when she finally gets normal, she might think that you did these to manipulate her into accepting you. Don't get me wrong. Just try to understand my point of view," Aaron said and he nodded his head, telling him to continue.
"You are her mate and she still doesn't have any clue about it. It could only mean that she doesn't have any wolf in her body and she's a full human, for now, am I right?" He asked and Nicolas nodded his head, confirming that what he was saying is correct.
"Hence if you take care of her now then she might agree to stay with you later but the only reason is going to be because she feels like she owns you something. It won't come fully from her heart."
Nicolas was getting what Aaron was saying but he was happy with how things were going for now.
He didn't want to change a single thing.
"What do you think that I should do now?" He said and his cousins just shrugged off their shoulders.
"I don't know what you should do at this situation since I was never in your situation and I hope that I am never in your situation," Alexander said and everyone was looking at him like they don't know whether they should slap him or themselves.
"What? Why's everyone looking at me like I have done some crime when all I did is tell the truth. Anyways, leave it. I have other work to do. I am going," he said before leaving from there.
The others were looking at his back, not knowing what their reaction should be.
"Leave him, he was never the one on whom we can trust on getting any good advice from. I personally think that you should let things go as they are going now. If you act like a gentleman then I am sure that she is eventually going to fall for you. You are not that bad, I promise," Ereza said with a disgusted look like it was taking everything inside of her to admit that her brother was good.
But then again, most brother and sister duo were just like this.
"Ok, I also think the same. I am going to let things go as they are going for now. We will see whatever happens in the future but for now, this present is too precious to ruin this. We might be overthinking and she might not go that deep," Nicolas said, trying to bring some peace to his heart.
His cousins were looking at him like they don't know who he is. The Nicolas they knew was never the one who would self assure himself that things were going to be ok.
He was the type to hit himself with the truth. If he thinks that there's a possibility of something not going as planned then he would simply skip that. He is a perfectionist but this Nicolas was too desperate for the love of his mate.
They didn't blame him. They have seen people doing weird things, just to get the attention of their mates. They would go as far as to change their whole personality.
He was still the same as before, minus his logical brain.
They left after he informed them that he was going to introduce Amara to everyone tonight.
"I need to get an amazing dress for an good first impression. I want to stand out in the crowd and show her how good my fashion sense is. I have lots of work to do, bye for now," Ereza left from there after saying this.
She didn't bother looking at her brothers after turning at the other side.
"Is it only me or you also think that we have super weird cousins?" He asked Aaron.
"You are not alone. We both have the same thinking," Aaron said and they parted away after nodding their heads.
