Chapter 3 - Chapter 3:A Daring Dragonet

Garon slowly moved his steps, approaching the White Dragon Mother, trying to rub against her dragon head, acting cute and coquettish.

For food, he was going all out.

He would use all the tricks of acting cute and being coquettish first.

Back when he was human, Garon's pet cat was like this. No matter how rowdy it was usually, it would put on a pitiful look when hungry and rub against his hand or trouser leg. Then Garon would be unable to resist serving it delicious food and drinks.

Garon hoped this trick would work on the White Dragon Mother as well.

However, perhaps just as most humans only found the young of other creatures cute, while their own offspring looked ugly, the White Dragon Mother looked at the silly and cute little dragonet with a flat reaction.

Its gaze was sharp and cold, and it didn't speak, just silently staring at Garon, which made him feel a chill all over and immediately不敢再靠近.

"The kinship between evil dragons... is as good as nonexistent."

Disappointed, Garon pretended nothing had happened and turned his gaze to the other four intact dragon eggs.

These eggshells were also shaking slightly, and fine cracks were appearing and spreading on their surfaces.

The dragonets inside were moving their bodies, trying to break out of their shells. However, it seemed they would still need some time, and it was unknown how many dragon brothers and sisters would eventually be born.

Dragons could lay about two to six dragon eggs at a time. The White Dragon Mother had laid six this time, which was considered very fertile among dragons.

The most common number of dragon eggs was three or four, and about 90% or more of dragons laid this many. Subtracting the roughly equal probability of laying two dragon eggs, dragons like the White Dragon Mother probably only accounted for about 5%.

"When the other younger brothers and sisters are born, it shouldn't be too much for me to snatch a little bit of eggshell from each of them."

Those eggs were only up to Garon's chest in size, and the ones inside were probably all normal dragonets.

Garon looked down at his noticeably stronger and larger dragon body and immediately felt a surge of confidence, thinking he could take on four of them.

His tongue subconsciously licked the corner of his mouth. Garon leaned against the wall, his eyes straight ahead, while secretly moving towards the dragon eggs.

The White Dragon Mother was still watching him, so Garon had to hide his little thoughts.

However, he didn't believe that the White Dragon Mother could stare at him without blinking.

Even if he was discovered, perhaps the White Dragon Mother still wouldn't stop him. After all, stealing Hill's eggshell was fine. It was just because he wasn't clear about the White Dragon Mother's bottom line that Garon had returned the smallest eggshell fragment.

Just as the thought emerged, the hard ice crystal-covered floor of the nest vibrated slightly.

Garon turned his head and saw that it was the White Dragon Mother moving her body, as if stretching her muscles, similar to stretching after waking up.

She glanced at the other dragon eggs that were shaking slightly, her pale yellow dragon eyes devoid of any emotion.

Garon had seen this look more than once.

Even though the intelligence of white dragons was at the bottom among dragons, and their way of thinking was closer to that of wild beast hunters, compared to other races, the IQ of white dragons was still not low. It was just that they preferred wild thinking, using instinct instead of reasoning.

And the White Dragon Mother, who was about to reach adulthood, definitely possessed intelligence beyond that of ordinary humans.

She was probably just too lazy to bother with her own offspring.

Next, the White Dragon Mother slowly stood up, and the shadow of her body instantly enveloped Garon entirely. The oppressive feeling brought by her enormous size rushed towards him.

Making Garon feel a slight suffocation.

After flexing her wings, the White Dragon Mother walked with her heavy and massive body to the nest entrance, looked back, then turned her head, her dragon wings fluttered, and her huge figure disappeared into the boundless ice and snow outside the nest.

Garon slowly moved his steps, heading towards the nest entrance.

Upon getting closer, he fixed his gaze outside the nest, and the scene before him instantly made Garon's breath catch in his throat.

Velvet-like snowflakes fell from the sky, landing on the already snow-covered ground.

Howling, almost visible, cold winds shuttled incessantly through the secluded glacial crevices, the sound of "wooing wooing" resounding in this vast world seemingly composed of ice, snow, cold wind, and ice crystals.

In the far distance, winter wolves, barely visible to Garon's eyesight, moved low to the ground in the wind and snow, leaving behind paw prints that were covered and submerged by the drifting snow in the blink of an eye. Frost tigers lay in ambush in the snow, revealing only a pair of dim, wild eyes, patiently waiting for their prey to approach...

In this silver-clad, extremely cold world, there were still a large number of tenacious creatures striving to survive.

Interweaving into a magnificent and beautiful picture of all creatures enjoying freedom in the frosty sky.

These were sceneries Garon had never witnessed before. He couldn't explain his feelings at this moment, but he was deeply shocked.

Gathering his thoughts, Garon raised his dragon head and looked into the distance with all his might.

In the distance was a vast, undulating mountain range that seemed to have no end, as thick as a dragon's spine, covered with year-round snow, seemingly still reflecting a crystal-clear, faint light.

It stretched from east to south for thousands of kilometers, composed of countless ridges and valleys, like a barrier created by nature, separating the extreme northern ice field from the Warwick Duchy belonging to humans on the other side.

"The Extreme Northern Ice Field, the cold desert..."

Due to the existence and uniqueness of the Dragon Inheritance, dragons were, to some extent, creatures born with knowledge of the world.

Garon only glanced out from the steep cliff nest, and the name of the area he was in appeared in his mind.

Dragons could become one of the top-level creatures in many planes not only because of their strong physique, sharp claws and teeth, and powerful magical abilities, but also because the Dragon Inheritance, which allowed them to be born with knowledge of the world, played a crucial and significant role.

The White Dragon Mother's nest was built on a cliff face of an iceberg, more than five hundred meters above the ground.

After taking a breath of the cold air from a hundred meters high, Garon craned his neck and looked down.

Through the dense, cotton-like flying snow, Garon only saw layers of thick, white snow, still silently increasing and piling up.

It had been snowing heavily recently, and the entire extreme northern world was submerged in snow, making it basically impossible to see the true appearance of the ice field terrain.

He slightly flapped his wide dragon wings, and a kind of intuition told him that he might be able to descend safely from a height of five hundred meters.

Without actually trying to fly out of the nest, Garon leisurely returned inside.

Without the White Dragon Mother attracting his attention, Garon's gaze was immediately drawn to the objects emitting various lights at the deepest part of the nest.

Looking closely, it was a pile of fine weapons, armor, scrolls, and all kinds of gemstones that faintly glowed.

Crystal, agate, emerald, diamond... most were ordinary gemstones, but many were surging with magic power, with diamonds being the most numerous among them.

White dragons loved collecting diamonds the most because the light reflected by the dazzling diamonds could make their nests, full of mirror-like ice crystals, shine brightly.

Garon's platinum dragon pupils sparkled, and he felt a bit dazzled for a moment.

He had also inherited the dragon's love and greed for treasure. Moreover, when he was human in his previous life, Garon's greatest hobby was watching his savings increase little by little.

The overlapping of his greedy attributes from two lifetimes erupted with astonishing power at this moment.

Garon subconsciously swallowed his saliva, his brain began to operate at high speed, daringly thinking about how to turn the gemstones before him into his own possessions.
