Funky little monkey, she's a twisted trickster,

Funny monkey, she's a sophisticated trickster,

Everybody wants to be the sister's mister,

Everyone wants to be a sibling companion,

Coca-Cola roller-coaster,

She's a dead loop on a roller coaster,

Love her, even though I'm not supposed to.

I love her, even though I shouldn't.

(In Will's head.

Hesitantly entering the code with her red fingernails, Kara snorted unhappily.

«Are you coming soon?

«Wait, this is a little uncomfortable," she huffed, shoving Will into the cramped booth, which was designed for one person, to say the least. Will pushed himself into the armrest, which was covered in dust and dry dirt as if more than one homeless person had slept there, and pursed his lips. There were worse public booths, but it was better not to know about them.

Kara's hair, so light and long, was the only salvation Will was glad to have. Will nuzzled his nose into it, and it smelled like sweet peaches with a hint of freshness.

«What are you doing, Will? - Kara laughed, shoving him with her shoulder," It's not funny, get off!

«I can't, you're my savior," he laughed.

Kara wore a short red-and-black square skirt because it made her look "sterner," lacking the confidence of her mature appearance that she kept telling Will. But no matter how diligently she picked her clothes, like warm tights and a white blouse with medium-heeled shoes, Kara continued to look like a naughty middle-schooler, which suited her just fine. But Will kept quiet because she was getting annoyed.

«You think sex in a phone booth is new, don't you? - Kara asked inquisitively, switching from entering the code to Will's arms around her, a familiar, unkind glint in her eyes.

«Shh...there are probably cameras in here.

«Who cares, though... it's certainly awkward, but it's so arousing. I think I'm sweating.

«Not now, Kara.

«And when? In three more months?

«We've already had...

«Not enough," Kara cut him off, grabbing his groin, causing Will to jump, "I'm already so fucked up masturbating in the bathroom at night, you want more?

And a couple times in front of Willard, but he pretended to be asleep. Will sighed uneasily as he remembered it.

«What did you say was the last set of numbers there? - Will asked.

«Thirty-two. I mean, Will, don't talk to me! If you don't want to do it yourself, I'll do it myself.

Will barely had time to get the last digits, and then their faces began to distort in the glass of the phone booth. They were covered by a green beam, and they disappeared, leaving behind a void and the phone hanging on the wire.

***

Will woke up with Kara in his arms, her lips reaching for his - frozen just so, lying on the metal teleporter platform, noticing the feet flickering past. There was a staircase leading down, straight to the cluster of gathered heroes, and putting his hand on the smooth descent, Will looked like a lamb caught under a tiger.

Not surprisingly, almost every hero standing by froze in place and turned to Kara and Will, who were also staring at them in surprise, especially Will. There, below, stood the red-faced fish-eyed aliens, the grin-covering Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and many others.

«Hey, Kara! John will reprimand you again if you break a guy! - Hal shouted cheerfully through two palms.

Kara puckered her lips and gave him a 'faq':

«Go to hell, Hal.

After those words, the stagnant atmosphere abruptly softened and returned to the daily flow, as if the people were used to Kara's antics and were like, "It's her again, then it's clear."

«Are they always like this? - Will asked cheerfully.

Kara hummed unhappily and crossed her arms over her chest.

«I have a special reputation here, you don't understand.

"I see, I think there's more to it than a broken airplane."

Will stared wistfully at the perfect white ceiling, ran his eyes over the space walls around him, all sewn together from a smooth and shiny alloy that resembled milk. Through the hall with teleporters there was a corridor, to the right - thick space glass, through which opened a view of the boundless space with countless stars, and under all this majestic multitude floated the green-blue planet Earth, on which you look and flashed a stray, childishly cheerful thought, "I am higher than the whole world.

And in all this cosmic goodness, Kara cooked all day long, feeling like she was probably the best of the best.

Will smiled involuntarily, looking at Kara's curving lips with great respect (though she sometimes acted like a child, yes...), for she belonged to what was essentially a closed and heroic community.

Kara suddenly covered his mouth with her palm and laughed merrily.

«You should have seen your face, Will! Welcome to the observation tower. Impressed?

«My face is fine, now get off of me before I kick your ass, lady heroine," Will mumbled, arching an eyebrow.

«Oh, I'm scared, I'm scared.

«Well, well, well, who do I see? Kara and-" A confident female voice came from behind me.

«Diana! - Kara exclaimed, flying off a disgruntled Will.

Feeling a slight prick of envy at Kara's ability to fly, Will got up off the floor, trying to look as presentable as possible in front of Wonder Woman. In his memories, the Amazon Princess looked like a supermodel in a Valkyrie cosplay. She had adequate strength without cheats like Superman, and a kind character with a firm hand (not counting the Injastis comics where she was in love with Superman and helped him kill a bunch of people. Yes, love was evil, and Diana as a warrior princess knew no pity).

And now Diana was standing in front of Will in person and... his expectations had not deceived him. Diana was smiling kindly at Kara and didn't seem to mind Will's appearance in the Watchtower. Light as a feather in conversation. A slender and strong woman with rather feminine, but in some places sharp facial features, reflecting a free-spirited and strong nature. A woman who was adorned in red armor, adorned with a golden sash over a blue skirt, reflecting her determination and strong fighting spirit. Golden bracelets neatly wrapped around her arm, being both a beautiful piece of jewelry and the warrior's strongest weapon, and a majestic tiara with a triangular sign served as a reminder that in front of you stood not an ordinary Valkyrie, but the very real princess of Themyscira.

It seemed as if she was about to test Will for powers or just say "what's he doing here?" but instead Diana hugged Kara wordlessly and continued the sweet conversation.

"Mm... maybe she only pays attention to warriors?", Will thought, glancing at his biceps. Under his clothes, all his "bumps" withstanding the super-speed load didn't look impressive. - "Flash doesn't look like a super jock, either, though."

«We're looking for Clark, do you know where he is? - Kara asked.

«As far as I know, he and John are blowing up asteroids," Diana replied with a slight hesitation.

«Is Batman here? - Will asked.

«No, he's on the other side of the galaxy. There's an alien attack, and he's dealing with some strange portals that are creating demons. Batman's trying to figure out what they are before we act. We may need your help soon, Kara," Diana said with mild concern.

Will froze in place as he heard her words. His mind flashed back to the ragged memories of the fanged creatures that had stood beside the mighty titan Darkseid with eyes as scarlet as burning hell. They were mighty creatures loyal to their master, over two meters tall and capable of tearing people in two with pure power. Infernal creatures that enjoyed other people's torment and death. Their true power lay in their numbers - they preferred to attack a single hero in droves, and often the entire sky was darkened by the enormity of their countless swarms. Together, they could crush even the mightiest of heroes.

And they left behind only ashes and mountains of corpses.

"Para-demons."

«It's going to be fun," Kara licked her lips with her tongue in a playfully predatory manner and gave Will a challenging, languorous look, "you want to watch me kick some wussy ass?

Kara is strong, of course, and if he had been that Will earlier, he would have definitely said "yeah, baby," but now he was starting to worry:

«Don't rush the horses," Will put his arm around Kara's shoulders and pulled the overexcited girl against him, then glanced worriedly at Diana, "Diana, can you tell me more about those portals? What do they look like? Are there no strange metal cubes that create them? - Will asked, while his thoughts flashed to the mechanized demons created by the Mother Box, distorted with stupid evil.

«No, I'm not sure. Batman didn't say anything about metal cubes. He's only recently started to find out what's going on on Fargus-4. And as usual, Bruce doesn't say a word when I try to ask him for details," Diana said thoughtfully.

"Looks like Batman's first encounter with para-demons"

«I'm afraid Kara won't be able to fly with you to Fargus-4, she'll have important things to do back home," Will cut in smilingly.

Diana and Kara stared at Will in surprise. It wasn't the Amazon who had expected to hear that Supergirl's boyfriend had suddenly decided to cancel her assignment on the other side of the galaxy.

«What? Why is that? - Kara was outraged.

Will once thought the existence of comic books where Evil defeated Good was cool, but once he was in the DC universe, he drastically changed his mind. It would have been better if they had never existed. Now when he thought back to the universe where Deadpool killed everyone and became King, Will felt bad. It was funny in the comics, but in real life, being victimized by Flashpoint wasn't funny at all.

And he had hopes of staying out of major trouble with supervillains like Darkseid for at least a couple years. It's cool to be a hero, but only a real idiot would want to get into trouble against really dangerous types. All Will wanted was a high life and maybe some superpowers to make himself feel cooler.

But reality is such a different thing from cartoons and TV shows - here, the heroes could easily die instead of surviving even if they were powerful Kryptonians. Worst of all, Darkseid knew their greatest weakness: Kryptonite.

After listening to Diana's story, Will began to reconsider his plans for his life. Sure, it would be nice to fuck Kara and make a living with a regular job, but... He glanced at the unsuspecting Kara, who was smiling at him, and finally realized that he now had more responsibility than he had suspected.

«I think you're doing a great job and deserve a vacation from hero stuff.

Kara arched an eyebrow disbelievingly.

«You didn't want me lazing around at home. What are you making up again?

«We'll walk in the park, buy you your favorite goodies, and... go to the fifth Spell.

Kara opened her eyes wide and clutched at Will's shirt.

«All day?

«All day...well, we'll see.

Kara squinted her eyes.

«If you lie, you know what will happen to you.

«Yeah, yeah... - Will looked away.

«So this is the guy you've been telling me about all the time? Nice to meet you. Diana," Diana interjected smilingly, clearly unhappy that Will had decided to make his own rules. She didn't know why he'd so abruptly forbidden Kara to go on the mission with her (which was an obvious prohibition).

«It's my pleasure, too.

The handshake between them was of the highest order - firm, friendly, kind... and yet with a kind of challenge in Diana's eyes. Her strong, feminine fingers gripped Will's palm painfully, though she wasn't even trying to frighten or hurt him. Rather, Diana wanted to understand what kind of man had managed to get Kara Zor El's attention. Or was it all about the Amazon princess's super strength and warlike approach?

«I hope you're not going to leave right after you came in? - Diana smiled charmingly.

Cursing all the gods for his fan love for Diana, Will smiled awkwardly and nodded, falling for Diana's obvious trap.

"Okay... nothing's going to happen if I just walk around the Tower, right?"

Diana headed along the silvery corridor, waving for Kara and Will to follow her, and they leisurely began their walk through the Observation Tower. They met other heroes along the way. After giving Will an interested look, Diana asked an unexpected question:

«Clark said you have superpowers now? - Diana asked inquisitively.

«But there's a suspicion that it's a mutation, so I wanted to talk to Batman.

«I see. That's very interesting. Are you thinking of joining the Justice League? Our Kryptonians have been praising you, saying you'd make a good hero. And their opinion is very valuable to me. We need people like you.

«You flatter me.

«We're all one big family here, Will. We're all one big family here, and since you and Kara are engaged.

«How much you know.

Diana gently arched an eyebrow and smiled, demonstrating the 'native setting':

«Kara's already told everyone," she shrugged with a benevolent smile. - She's interested in you, and for good reason. She's very strong, and for the Amazons, having that kind of power is a great source of pride.

A pride that smelled of trouble. Diana's words sounded a lot like a mother-in-law's speech, interested in checking up on her future "son," from whom he had to give polite and silent nods and take the impression for granted while Diana looked after him with a strange smile, waiting for the right words.

But there were no truer words, for Will was not such a fool as to throw around hastily made promises.

He'd realized before that life with Kara wasn't so easy. It would seem, so what if she was "super" and he was "not super" - how did it interfere with the relationship? It didn't, but it did complicate it. The supers and the like couldn't understand, but he felt it all on his own.

For one thing, the unfamiliar difference in strength when a girl could break his backbone at any moment is an inconvenience hard to explain in words. It's just something almost no one almost ever encounters, it's unique. It's weird for the male ego in general when a girl is not just stronger than a guy, but SUPER stronger than HIM. Out of the gate, this given got in the way not only in everyday life, but also in intimate moments when you don't want to be broken in two during "exciting races".

The challenges were much greater.

Kara could hear everything he said from several hundred kilometers away. And it wasn't uncommon for Willird to have to choose his words so he wouldn't say too much. If, say, he said: "Kara is sometimes too preoccupied..." or "She eats too much" or "She throws her socks around the room too much"-in short, when everything is too much, Kara could easily take offense. And what could Kara not be offended by...?

Kara arrives late one night after Heroic Feats, wakes Will up with a noise, and then nonchalantly goes to bed with him undressed and naps. Not every guy will accept that his girlfriend flies home late at night not even drunk, but... covered in green-blue-purple-and God knows who's guts, which smells like... alien guts!

And it seems fine... Will's fine with it, she's doing good, working for the good of humanity, but things get complicated when you try to figure it out. All it takes is one example...

There she is, lying all in "paint", at two in the morning, the sheet is wet right under Will, the sharp smell of rotten meat hits his nose, but Kara embraces him with unprecedented tenderness. Will doesn't immediately realize what the catch is, opens his eyes, the sheet is a horrible bloody blue stain, some kind of gut falls on his shoulder, and a nauseating lump comes to his throat. With a heroic effort, he doesn't vomit on his girlfriend, and sleep slips away like a hand - the arrow on the alarm clock shakes nervously - two fucking nights with a tail. Will's freaking out. First he pukes himself, then he picks Kara up like a baby, carries her into the bathroom while she mumbles for him to let her sleep, pokes her nose with a sluggish palm, laughs like a baby, kisses him while he undresses her and washes her under the shower.

"Romance" doesn't melt into their lives, even when he has to get hitched to Supergirl herself, who couldn't care less about the invincible alien monster, or the odor that exuded from his giblets, or the sleepless nights in the never-ending struggle for peace.

Will gets up in the morning to Kara's happy chants, with big black eyes, sluggish, yawning, and catches her soft, undoubtedly warm kiss. On the alarm clock - shivering, bitch, the hand is at nine in the morning. Kara's slept less than six hours and is awake as a cucumber, and you're a deconstructed, sluggish, sleep-deprived meat.

She's asking for sex and he's asking for mercy.

And Will was lucky that there were not so many such night arrivals - only three in a month, but each one threw off the schedule for a couple of days, if not more. The first time he had total insomnia, and then he got used to it.

After three months, Will adjusted, bought earplugs and... Kara took them off when she kissed him on his arrival. When Will's superpowers kicked in, things changed dramatically. He started getting four to six hours of sleep himself, and he'd pass out as soon as he lay down, without tossing and turning. They agreed not to do "such night flights" anymore and everything fell into place. He was overjoyed and, probably, that was the reason why he and Kara started to make things happen again.

It wasn't uncommon for him to wonder how long the real Will would have lasted in a relationship with Kara.

Anyway, even with the Super Cool Superpowered Girls, there were super big and super cool problems.

And now, returning to Diana's words, who claimed that Will was super lucky to have a girl like Kara, he just smiled and nodded his head, saying, "Yes, lucky, of course...". He cursed the whole world that now the Amazon princess herself would be watching their relationship and pressuring Will more seriously.

"I hope Diana doesn't make me defeat Darkseid to prove I'm worthy of Kara," he thought.

Diana stopped at the white, slightly outwardly bent door, as if from a blow, and turned to Will, her look showing, "You're in for a surprise."

«You're interested in being a hero, right? - She made it sound like, "You have to be a hero or else why did you come here?" but Diana kept her smile friendly.

«Honestly, it makes sense," Will nodded leisurely.

«Then it's time to find out if you can do it or not. By the way, have you ever been in a fight?

Diana put her hand to the sensor and the white door in front of her went upward, revealing a view of the bluish floor. She beckoned him to come inside, a tour after all.

Will saw the sweat-scented training room, and if it weren't for the open view of space, it wouldn't look much different from a normal training room. There were several rings like in boxing, on one of which two heroes were sparring right now, some fish-man from Antlantis and... Vanessa Wayne.

This unhealthy beauty jumped into the ring and landed neatly, like a ballerina, on the floor, predatorily playing with her legs and arms in a boxer's dance. When she saw her opponent flailing defeatedly, she smugly hummed and reached for her water bottle. Sweat dripped down her skin, and her firm, large thighs glistened under the bright lights.

Noticing Will's gaze, she arched an eyebrow.

«Willard Light? You finally decided to get your ass off the couch? - manner of speech, as usual, dismissive and icy.

«I see you two know each other," Diana said slyly, glancing at the surprised Will.

«Sort of," he gave out.

«That's good. I was gonna test you myself, but it's more fun this way. How about a friendly sparring session with Vanessa?

Will wanted to say, "Is it normal to get up sparring with a girl?", but he pressed his lips together in time, because in America such a statement was offensive, in no way "equal rights". However, Diana, noticing his doubt, added with a sly smile:

«Vanessa has the best mission success rate this month. Not many heroes can keep up with her in the rankings," and with a flick of her finger from her mini-computer bracelet, Diana threw a hologram of the heroes' rankings into the air, where Vanessa had somehow miraculously managed to overtake even Aquaman, Green Arrow, and the Young Titans.

It was clearly a planned move.

«Uh... Will, what do you say? Diana would love for you to show her what you can do," Kara shoved Will in the side, igniting her excitement.

And all three ladies stared at him with three different emotions, mockery, curiosity, and a genuine desire to fuck with his boyfriend.

«Yes, Will. Show us what you can do," Vanessa added with a chuckle.

***

«Why do you refuse everyone who offers you to become a team? - Bruce asked.

«Because they're all idiots spoiled by their own power," Vanessa replied glumly, closing the door in front of a surprised Wayne.

I opened my eyes and leaned on the cables of the ring, pushing away the intrusive memories.

Will squared his shoulders, ineffectually and lazily, and thought hard about something as he took off his jacket and unbuttoned his shirt, exposing his pumped-up torso. His muscles bulged almost menacingly as he warmed up, but he was still completely unequipped for combat.

Vanessa recognized the change in Lita's Willard as an interesting coincidence, not hidden from the eyes of her father's emphasis on the boy.

He was climbing into the ring, and at that moment Diana assessed him with an interested look, it seemed as if she and Batman knew something, but that was unlikely. Most likely as a Valkyrie Wonder Woman felt the same way a good warrior feels when facing a worthy opponent. Except that Will's casual, relaxed gaze was ruining the whole impression.

Remembering Willard's past words, his confident eyes and cocky grin hinting at his own rightness, "I live a good life, don't you?", Vanessa held back a controlled anger at his irresponsibility, and imagined clenching the anger in her fist.

"Keep your head up and think," she exhaled irritably, resting her gaze on Will.

«How long have you been there? - Vanessa asked grudgingly.

«Yes, a little more," he seemed to never come out of his "reasoning" without thinking and replied.

Vanessa sat on the twine and did a few ducks to the side, pulling her pumped up legs and feeling a nice stretch. It was only at that moment that Will finally looked at her, and then immediately stopped.

No wonder he was glaring at her, and Vanessa curled her lips, because that was exactly what she didn't like today.

With a bored sigh, as if she didn't care about Vanessa and her "powers," Kara leaned against the ring ropes and pouted her lips, asking why Will had decided to keep her out of Fargus 4. Which, of course, strained Vanessa Wayne's inflated ego and fueled her personal dislike of all the pompous "supers" because Supergirl was lower in the rankings than she was - but she had much more power. Irresponsible, weak! Vanessa looked at the girl's pale hands and squeezed them, grudgingly pressing her fingers to the floor and... she didn't feel "the very strength" she had dreamed of looking at Superman more than once.

Bruce Wayne was still talking about the arrogance of the Kryptonians, warning Clark more than once to remember to control his power. But what if Vanessa had that power instead of this Windy Girl? Often Vanessa was annoyed that Kara's insane power was causing uncontrollable destruction.

No one, including her father, ever wondered what it was like for her to be ordinary among the "extraordinary". Now Willard Light had joined the pack of superpowered assholes, and wasn't that why he'd become so arrogant?

Vanessa exhaled quietly and fixed her gaze back on Will, imagining Willard Light's teeth crunching instead of the Fish Man's recent teeth. Yeah, she was going to lose it on him. Right now. It's been a while, but I've never been itchier. That fish man didn't even have enough for one tooth, and what was he doing here anyway? Just another asshole. Like all the heroes here, who even with mighty power did less work than her and Robin.

What the hell are they all doing here? Ridiculous.

But there was something about Willard Light, at least because he didn't seem to notice it, but there was an intimidating aura about him; and because he had been ordinary before. And he wasn't much different from a normal person now, like Vanessa Wayne herself. Because Kara, a Kryptonian, was completely spoiled by her own power. But Will isn't, and it would be nice to teach him that strength isn't everything.

Vanessa scrolled through all the techniques her father had taught her and all the words he'd said to defeat the likes of Flash. The lunges and punches they had honed flashed by. Batman was strong, unbeatable, and Bruce never once lost in their duel, clearly showing - that giving in to her opponents would never happen. Either you fight to the end and win, or you lose and it's over. Not a few bruises and sleepless nights out of hatred for her daddy had strengthened her, but Vanessa hadn't given up trying to defeat Bruce.

Flash and Will looked alike, and to be honest, Flash was a dork, a smiling dork with wind in his head. Vanessa bet Bruce Wayne didn't like him much, either, because he was unintelligent and rash.

«It's a no-holds-barred fight, but try not to hurt each other," Diana explained with her usual calm. - Let's get started.

«I hope you don't get cocky," Vanessa said with feigned indifference and a cold glare.

«No way...

Vanessa's fist flew at his chin, causing Will to lose his balance.

***

«A no-holds-barred fight, don't get distracted," Diana quipped.

Vanessa's jab caused Will to get unsteady and he immediately engaged - losing control of the fight.

Will couldn't get a firm enough footing on the ground, but he was recoiling from Vanessa's blows and stopping on his heel, waving his arms to keep his balance - he couldn't run from that position. It seemed that if he used the shunshin now, he'd run face first into the wall.

Vanessa knew that.

«No matter how fast you are, you're still human. Speed comes from proper footwork, but no matter how you twist it, if you're unsupported, you're no better than a dummy.

And improper movements led to damage to muscle tissue and joints.

Vanessa's second blow came right on target, straight at Will's head, who barely had time to catch her leg with his hands. Eyes wide open, Will took the blow on the outside of his arm, flesh flared, and an unpleasant crunch hit his ears, and then the ground went out from under his feet, and he flew off to the side.

Hitting the ropes, Will dodged Vanessa's next blow and jumped back a couple steps, trying to get his numb hands back into position.

"She almost broke my arms!"

«Amateur," Vanessa exhaled as she kicked, again. Will blocked it, but recoiled painfully, her kick still capable of knocking out even Bane (thanks to his dad's training).

Vanessa didn't appreciate Willard Light's attempts to get her, he seemed to be trying to test his strength rather than defeat her.

«I heard you managed to take Demian down, and now you're down? - she teased.

«Worried about your brother...?

And again the kicking as Will spoke, completely ignoring the return provocation - because she didn't care about Damian. Bruce Wayne, on the other hand, was quite interested in this outcome.

«Another slip-up, Willard Light.

«Hmmm...

Will's reflexes allowed him to fend off the blows, but it was dangerous to let them loose and hit back - he could accidentally hurt Vanessa. Will's reflexes allowed him to fend off the blows, but it was dangerous to let them go and hit back-he could accidentally hurt Vanessa.

Vanessa kept moving around the ring like a wildcat, hitting as hard as he would have hit himself. Her mother had taught her agility and her father strength, and she was excellent at both.

As Will watched her movements and tried to get used to them, Vanessa immediately picked up on it and changed her fighting style. Will watched her movements, trying to get used to them, and Vanessa noticed it and changed her fighting style.

And Will lost his balance again, losing his only advantage - speed.

Sure, more than once the Flash lost to Batman because Bruce was able to anticipate Barry's actions ahead of time, but Vanessa...?

When Will suddenly disappeared and appeared behind her back, Vanessa scowled, catching his punch at the last moment.

«Even Flash doesn't act so predictable anymore. You're lacking the basics," Vanessa hissed, swinging around.

«So the rumors were true, Willard Light has indeed gained superpowers," Diana said thoughtfully, putting her fingers to her lips. - Diana said thoughtfully, putting her fingers to her lips.

«Mm... Vanessa doesn't do the usual indulgences," Kara whispered excitedly, biting down on her fingernail, "but Will's going to kick her ass anyway!

«Well I wouldn't say that... If Will was more experienced, Vanessa wouldn't stand a chance.

***

"As expected, Willard Light's punches are poorly placed. He doesn't know how to fight at all, but even so, every punch he throws gives you goosebumps. Plus, he has good stamina and physical stats that more than make up for his inexperience," Vanessa analyzed Willard Light's every move diligently. Of course, she'd known he was inexperienced in combat before, but now she had the chance to study it for herself.

She looked closely at his abilities.

«Is that really all you're capable of? - Vanessa said, wiping the sweat from her forehead.

But Willard Light shrugged smilingly and frowned suddenly, taking a couple steps away and keeping his focused gaze on Vanessa.

"Learned his lesson," Vanessa thought.

«I admit, you showed me that one superpower wasn't enough to beat you. But that doesn't mean I showed you everything I was capable of," Will grinned.

«Really? - Vanessa arched an eyebrow and waved her palm at him.

Though Vanessa could barely stand on her feet and looked like she was about to fall, her breathing was even and calm and her gaze was focused and sparkling. She planned to get him, no, to defeat him and prove that she was stronger.

Puzzled as to how not to injure Vanessa's limbs, he carefully picked his moment to strike. His speed could get out of control at any moment, and for most of the fight he had to hold back the tension in his muscles. With each blow, his arms and legs seemed to stiffen, shaking, wanting to lunge forward or sideways, but Willard stopped them at the last moment.

How many times had it been like this? A lot, and now he was badly beaten, sighing with mild amusement at his own pain. Vanessa had no mercy, she was literally kneading as if with lead-packed fists. Where did the girl get that kind of strength?

"Okay... if this keeps up, I'm going to lose. I have to try to take control of the force."

Will closed his eyes and trusted his senses. Vanessa ran right at him, thinking he'd opened up, but she didn't know Will didn't need his eyes to catch her.

Penetrating his Sensation Sphere, Vanessa braced herself for his high-speed tug, but... His hand lightning-fast intercepted her slender wrist and he brought it behind her back.

«That's the end of it...

Without letting him finish and intercepting Will's arm, Vanessa jumped on top of him, wrapping her legs around his neck and twisting around his neck, wrapping her thighs tightly around him and dropping him into the ring in a hard slam.

It felt like his head was going to come off his body and roll across the ring, but the chakra reinforcement he'd hastily made had saved him from a fatal defeat. Will was breathing hard, lying between her thighs in a tight hold.

«Don't you dare underestimate me.

«And I'm not underestimating...actually, I'm impressed," Will said heavily, blushing like a tomato. And the blood was rushing to his head from the exertion. Trying to break free from the hold he had on her legs, but Vanessa already knew he was stronger, showing the full power of the jiu-jitsu she possessed allowed her to easily level the full force of Willard Light against him. As Will began to unclench her hold, she abruptly got out of the hold, rolled to her side, and grabbed him with her other hand, showing her complete superiority.

«If you think your strength makes you special, I'm going to disappoint you, Willard Light. You've got a lot of growing to do before you can beat me," Vanessa said with tension, breathing hard and pouring sweat.

Victory had been hard for her. To put so much effort into suppressing the sheer power of a superhuman... it was admirable, and Will was admiring.

"Good for you, can't say anything," Will thought smilingly, and then she gave his neck a painful squeeze and he whined.

"What a bitch!"

But traitorous thoughts suggested that it wasn't so bad in Vanessa's grasp... Yeah, sure, she was sweaty and clinging to each other like snails, and she was also hot, and he was ready to recline from the heat of that oven. And there was no way using the shunshin in the prone position was going to work, at best he'd be able to shift with Vanessa on his shoulders.

"Damn...how do I get out?"

«Come on, Will! You can do it! Hit her! - Kara screamed.

«Wait...just a little...!

Will struck the ring with his hand in mild irritation and... unbeknownst to him, black hieroglyphics appeared on it, flashing with a blue glow. Everyone except Will and Vanessa, who were busy fighting, noticed the hieroglyphs.

Focused on wanting to get out, Will exhaled deeply, and it happened all by itself. His body was suddenly enveloped by a flash of lightning and then he disappeared, finding himself at the side of a slumped Vanessa in the ring. He and Vanessa stared at each other in surprise, only he was squatting and she was lying with her back in the ring, straddling the "invisible figure" that Will used to be.

«What was that? Kara, did you notice? - Diana asked.

«No...? This doesn't look like a quick move. Something appeared in the arena, is it hieroglyphics?

Seeing the hieroglyphics beneath him, Will arched an eyebrow in surprise, and thought briefly.

"What kind of symbolism is that? Japanese language? Hmm... it reminds me of something," he thought, but no matter how much he looked at it, to him it was a meaningless set of symbols in the ring. If he hadn't heard what Kara had said, he would have thought those symbols had been here originally.

Vanessa bit her lip angrily and immediately jumped out of the ring, intending to attack Will, but the latter, seeing how furious and saddened she was, had already realized what she wanted to do.

He intercepted the blow with his left hand and his right hand reflexively went to his face, stopping an inch from Vanessa's wide-open eyes.

«I give up," Will muttered.

Vanessa collapsed to her knees exhaustedly and stopped her fall with her hands while Will could barely breathe after her frankly frantic blows.

"That asshole just admitted defeat!" - Vanessa exploded as she grabbed him by the scruff of the neck.

«Are you kidding me?

«Foo-hoo, no way," he smiled, raising his hands in a sign of reconciliation.

«Leave him alone Vanessa, he's admitted defeat, so the sparring is over," Diana said thoughtfully.

The atmosphere was tense, and Vanessa didn't take her angry eyes off Willard's calm blue eyes, continued to press on.

«Chickened out, tucked your tail?

Vanessa couldn't take it anymore and punched him in the face, but her fist was stopped by Supergirl hovering in the air.

«You've been told the fight is over.

«Who gave you permission to interfere? He had to go all the way, otherwise what was the point? The next time he doesn't finish the job because he's soft, you'll be the one who gets hurt," Vanessa said coldly, glaring at the angry Kara.

«Either you take your hand away or you lose it," Kara said softly, clenching Vanessa's fist painfully.

«Vanessa! - Diana shouted.

Catching Vanessa's angry look, Willard sighed tiredly and shrugged.

«I'm not exactly starry-eyed. You're not really suggesting I punch a pretty girl in the face, are you? No, thanks. Bye-bye," and he waved a relaxed hand, which Kara wrapped around his fingers as he flew and fell into his arms with her skirt pulled up slightly, causing Will to wince in surprise and Kara to laugh.

«And you've done pretty well for yourself, handsome," she said, kissing him on the cheek.

After the whole mess, Will headed for the shower. The sparring with Vanessa Wayne had been hard on him, and he felt broken. It was a blessing to be alone and to have his own thoughts. The shower was empty, beautiful and very spacious. It reminded him of Japanese public baths, white, clean, warm and with clear steam. There were small pools with hot water, where you could lie down (but the depth was small, even a child would not drown here), and also here you could have a good rinse.

Will sat down on the wooden bench, took a bucket of water, and splashed hot water on himself. The hot steam burned his skin pleasantly, and the pain from the bruises and abrasions gradually faded like a bad dream.

Vanessa Wayne beat him without mercy, and she also had rather long fingernails that scratched his skin when she took him in grabs. And she liked grabs. Will immediately thought her boyfriend was obviously out of luck.

«Why, it's good to dream.

«What is there to dream about? - Kara asked.

«Oh, just stuff.

Kara stood at the entrance to the shower, leaning her back against the wall and sighed.

«I'm sorry, I didn't mean for it to come out like this. Will you let me make it up to you? - She asked playfully, as if the whole thing had been one big excuse for shower sex.

Will answered incredulously:

«I'm fine, thank you.

«You're a pest. Why did you give up? You could have beaten her.

Will bowed his head thoughtfully, remembering Vanessa's grip on him like a steel vise. His arms and neck still burned as if they'd been clubbed and then dipped in hot water.

«She pinned me down, actually defeated me. But then I did something incomprehensible, got stronger. Without that, I would have lost. I owe her a good lesson, Vanessa deserved that victory.

Kara arched an eyebrow derisively.

«You're so kind.

«You don't resent me for hiding the power? - Will asked casually.

«Hiding it? I've known for a long time... we've been talking about it at lunch with the guys for a couple weeks," Kara said as if nothing had happened.

«Uh, and you didn't say anything to me?

«I thought we were pretending we didn't know anything," she smiled slyly.

«Am I that predictable...?

«You're my boyfriend...I guess, right...? You've been trying to hide your cute little mole on your ass for months now, but I saw it the first day you slept in, I....

«Quiet! No one must know about her!

Kara laughed as she watched Will cover his ass with a towel.

«What's the big deal, Will! You're so weird!

Will pressed his lips together unhappily.

«But I've changed.

«A little bit, but overall the same weirdo he used to be.

"Um... well, that explains a lot."

«...Do you think I impressed Diane?

«I think you were pretty good. I didn't expect you to stand up to Vanessa, and she's pretty pissed off," Kara said mockingly.

Will couldn't remember the last time Kara had gloated. He wasn't imagining it, was he?

And he was trying to show off not only to Diana, but to her. Okay, he wanted to get Diana's attention... okay, Vanessa was a sexy bitch that he wouldn't mind having fun with in bed, but that was just a fantasy. But a little feat in front of Kara was a nice little male victory. And it was nice to kick Vanessa's ass, though he preferred not to touch girls.

In America, however, relations with women were a little different. Some women, on the contrary, considered it disrespectful if a man couldn't hit her during sparring, saying, "You don't respect me as a worthy opponent, do you?". The remark made sense, but Will, as a man who respected other people's wishes, decided to kick Vanessa's firm ass, since she was so insistent. But a bitch is a bitch, and she's a bitch who can't be satisfied even when you do what she wants (Will, of course, was bitching). And Vanessa threatened him after their fight that next time she'd kick his ass in person and he wouldn't like it. And he admitted defeat, didn't he? Who was he kidding though, everyone knew he won.

«You were pretty cool, in case you were wondering. I even got a little turned on when you abruptly moved behind Vanessa's back and slapped her ass. What was that?

«Thank you," Will smiled, "I don't know. I have an idea, but I'm not sure yet.

"It could be the Thunder God's mark, but it's used by several characters."

All he could tell was how there was some kind of exuberant energy flowing through her body that he had little control over. Will felt like he had at least a big, big vat of energy in him, of which he'd used at most one coffee cup. How he could use all of it at once was a big mystery to him.

With that, he stood up from the bench and covered his groin with a towel, turning to Kara.

«You want to check something out?

«Better put the towel away, it's better that way.

«Kara, I'm serious.
