Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The morning sun cast its golden glow over Viridian City, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink as Ash Ketchum prepared for the journey ahead. The city bustled with early risers, trainers stocking up on supplies, and children gazing in awe at the passing Pokémon. It was a peaceful moment before the adventure truly began.

Pikachu walked beside Ash, his small yellow form keeping pace with his trainer's eager steps. His ears twitched at the sounds of the city, but his sharp eyes remained on Ash, studying him in a way few Pokémon ever did with their trainers. In the short time they had known each other, Ash had done something that few humans ever did—he had earned Pikachu's trust.

It had not been an easy start between them. Pikachu had refused to listen, stubbornly resisting the idea of being captured and trained like some common Pokémon. He had always prided himself on his independence, his strength, and his ability to survive in the wild. But then Ash had done something that Pikachu had never expected. He had risked his own life to save him.

The memory was still fresh. Pikachu remembered the Beedrill's piercing stingers and the angry flock of Spearow that had attacked, their sharp beaks striking with the intent to kill. He had been injured, barely able to move, but Ash had not abandoned him. No, Ash had carried him through a storm, enduring pain, fear, and exhaustion just to get him to safety. When Pikachu had finally opened his eyes, he had seen Ash at his bedside, his face filled with guilt, worry, and relief all at once.

No human had ever shown him such kindness before. That moment had sealed Pikachu's decision—he would follow Ash. Not because he had to, but because he wanted to. He would repay the debt of kindness and protect the boy who had risked everything for him.

Now, as they walked through the streets of Viridian City, Ash entered the Poké Mart, a small but well-stocked store that supplied trainers with essential items. The chime of the doorbell announced their arrival, and Pikachu followed as Ash browsed the shelves, picking up potions and Poké Balls in preparation for their journey through Viridian Forest.

"Five Poké Balls and three potions, please," Ash said as he placed the items on the counter.

The shopkeeper, an elderly man with a kind smile, nodded and began ringing up the purchase. Pikachu hopped onto the counter, his tail flicking as he observed his trainer. The admiration he felt for Ash was evident in his gaze, but it was more than just gratitude—there was a deep, growing bond between them.

Pikachu understood the harsh reality of the world. Many Pokémon dreamed of being caught by trainers, not out of submission, but for survival. The wild was unforgiving, filled with dangers that no lone Pokémon could withstand forever. Trainers offered something different: protection, purpose, and a life where battles did not mean life or death. To be a trainer's Pokémon was to be given a chance at something greater. But Pikachu had never sought that kind of life—until now.

He was not weak. He had survived on his own for years, mastering his electric abilities and standing his ground against stronger opponents. But Ash had shown him something new—a strength that wasn't measured in battles, but in heart. And so, Pikachu made his choice.

As Ash finished his purchase, he turned to his partner with a bright grin. "Alright, Pikachu! Next stop—Viridian Forest!"

With the items secured in his bag, Ash stepped out of the Poké Mart, his determination set on reaching Viridian Forest before nightfall. Pikachu, perched on his shoulder, twitched his ears at the sounds of the bustling city. The bond between them had grown strong in such a short time, but their journey was only beginning.

As he made his way down the cobbled streets, he suddenly heard a familiar voice calling his name.

"Ash Ketchum!"

He sighed, already knowing who it was before he even turned around. Misty stood with her hands on her hips, an annoyed but determined look on her face.

"Oh great," Ash muttered under his breath.

Pikachu glanced between them, sensing his trainer's exasperation.

Misty stomped up to him, her fiery red hair tied back in its usual side ponytail. She pointed an accusing finger at him. "You still owe me a bike, and I'm not letting you get away until you pay me back!"

Ash groaned. "Misty, I told you already, I don't have the money for a new bike!"

She crossed her arms, tapping her foot impatiently. "Well, then I guess I'll just have to follow you until you figure out a way to pay me back."

Pikachu, still resting on Ash's shoulder, gave her a skeptical look. He had initially disliked Misty almost as much as Ash did; she had been loud, stubborn, and unrelenting. But his opinion had changed slightly when she had shown genuine concern for him after his battle with the Spearow flock. When she had seen him injured, she had softened, offering to help instead of just complaining about her bike.

Ash sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "Fine, do whatever you want, but we're heading to Viridian Forest."

Misty smirked. "Good, because I need to catch some Water-type Pokémon anyway."

Together, they left Viridian City and headed toward the looming entrance of the forest. The trees towered above them, their dense canopy casting shadows over the dirt path. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and the distant sounds of bird Pokémon echoing through the woods.

Pikachu sniffed the air, his senses heightened. Something about the forest felt different. He had traveled through many woods before, but this one felt… off. There was an underlying energy, something that made his fur stand on end.

Ash, oblivious to his partner's unease, strode forward confidently. "Alright! Time to catch my first wild Pokémon!" He reached into his bag, pulling out a Poké Ball.

Misty rolled her eyes. "You do realize that the Pokémon in here are mostly Bug-types, right?"

Ash grinned. "So? A Pokémon is a Pokémon!"

Pikachu, however, was not paying attention to their conversation. His ears twitched as he heard something rustling in the underbrush. His body tensed, ready for a fight if necessary. He had lived in the wild long enough to know when something was watching.

And something was watching.

As time seemed to slow, Pikachu's fur bristled as an overwhelming presence filled the forest. His sharp eyes locked onto the figure emerging from the shadows—a man with sun-kissed blond hair, radiant blue eyes, and an aura of power that seemed to transcend reality itself.

The man walked toward him with a casual confidence, his long coat flowing behind him like a mantle of authority. Despite his relaxed posture, Pikachu could sense something beneath the surface—a power vast and unfathomable, far beyond anything he had ever encountered. It was as if the very fabric of the world bent around him.

Ash and Misty were completely frozen, their bodies unresponsive, as if time had halted just for this moment. Pikachu felt his heartbeat quicken. The world around him dimmed, and only he and this man remained in motion.

The stranger stopped a few feet away, studying Pikachu with an amused yet knowing smile. "You can hear me, can't you?" he asked, his voice smooth yet carrying the weight of a thousand untold stories.

Pikachu's ears twitched. No human had ever spoken to him like this—directly, without the barrier of language. It wasn't telepathy; it was as if the words were meant for him alone, resonating deep within his soul.

"Who… are you?" Pikachu finally asked, his voice unsure, but steady.

The man smiled. "Naruto. Emperor of Mankind, ruler of galaxies."

Pikachu's breath hitched. That was beyond comprehension. Humans ruled cities, maybe even continents, but galaxies? This was something beyond his world, beyond what he had ever believed possible.

"And why are you here?" Pikachu narrowed his eyes, body tense.

Naruto's expression softened, his voice carrying an odd mixture of warmth and authority. "Because, Pikachu… you've been chosen. Fate has set a path for you, and it is your responsibility to walk it. Your world is in danger, and one day, the choices you make will decide its future."

Pikachu's mind raced. He had always believed in strength, in surviving by his own power. But this? This was beyond survival—this was a burden greater than any battle he had fought.

"Why me?" Pikachu asked, his voice quieter this time.

Naruto chuckled. "That's the same question I once asked. But fate doesn't choose lightly. You have the potential to rise beyond anything you've ever imagined. And you won't be alone. I'll help you, and so will the others."

With a flick of his wrist, Naruto summoned a sleek, glowing device into his palm. It was unlike any Pokédex or human technology Pikachu had ever seen. He offered it forward.

"This is your connection to the Heroes Chat Group," Naruto explained. "A network that spans across different worlds, linking warriors, heroes, and legends alike. With this, you'll gain knowledge, allies, and guidance when you need it most."

Pikachu hesitated before reaching out. As his small paw brushed against the device, a sudden warmth spread through his body. It wasn't painful—rather, it felt like an unseen force awakening inside him, like a door opening to something greater.

Naruto tapped Pikachu's forehead gently with two fingers, and an intricate seal glowed before fading into his fur. "I've placed a storage seal on you. The phone will always be there when you need it. Only you can access it."

Pikachu stared at the device, then back at Naruto. "And if I refuse?"

Naruto smiled knowingly. "Then you walk your own path. But deep down, you already know your answer."

Pikachu clenched his paws. He didn't fully understand what was happening, but he knew one thing for certain—his journey had just taken a turn far beyond anything he had ever expected.

Pikachu hesitated for a moment before tapping the phone's screen. As soon as he did, streams of information flowed into his mind, granting him an instinctual understanding of how to navigate the device. The screen lit up with a notification:

Pikachu's paws trembled as he slowly turned his head up to Naruto, who was grinning like this was all perfectly normal.

"Wait… you're serious?!" Pikachu squeaked in horror.

Naruto patted his tiny yellow head. "Of course I am! You're part of the Heroes Chat Group now! And every newbie needs an initiation mission. So, Supreme Overlord Pikachu, your task is to take over the world."

Pikachu blinked. Once. Twice. Then his eye twitched.

"Pika… CHUUUUUUU!!!"

Lightning exploded from his cheeks, shocking the ever-living hell out of Naruto. The self-proclaimed Emperor of Mankind just stood there, slightly charred, grinning even wider.

"Heh. Good start, Supreme Overlord."
