In the year 2045, the tower appeared. The appearance of the tower brought many mysteries and dark forces in the human realm. The tower also merged all of the four realms together. The emergence of the tower brought Soul Rifts and also gave humans the ability to use talents.
The talents allowed them to manipulate the elements and strengthen their bodies but human went proficient enough to use these powers to their fullest potential thus humanity never had been on the winning side on the war against the soul beasts that lurked deep inside the soul rifts had powers greater than the humans.
After a few more years of struggle, soul rift breaks occurred releasing the horrors in to the human realm. Humans didn't give up fighting even though the odds were against them but all their efforts were futile. The human race was about to face extinction until the dragons and onis appeared.
The dragons and onis helped the humans to defeat the soul beasts and helped them to advance their technology by leaps and bounds but there was catch. Humans were forced to sign a treaty that stated that as soon as a human becomes eighteen years of age, they will be forced to either marry a dragon or an oni.
The reason for this treaty was because dragons and onis could no longer procreate with their own kind. After months of research, the dragons and onis found out that humans have a certain cell in their body which allows them to procreate with other species.
After their initial discovery, humans became sought after by the dragons and onis. After a few years, humans were no longer seen as independent creatures instead they were seen as pets or tools to stop their races from facing extinction.
500 hundred years later:
The ringing sound of the alarm from his phone jolted Keith from his sleep. He hopped out of his bed with an excited look on his face and anticipation in his golden eyes. Today was going to be day that he will awaken his talent.
He looked at the time on his phone and was shocked since he was going to be late for the awakening ceremony. He went into shower and took a quick bath. After he was done bathing, he wore his best clothes. He wore a black t-shirt, blue jeans and his favorite black sneakers. Keith's complexion is a pale as the white snow, glowing golden eyes, long eyelashes and crimson red hair, the same color as blood.
He got out of his room and went to wake up the other children in the orphanage.
Keith had grown up in orphanage from the day he started to learn how to walk. He was told by the government that his parents died whilst on the fifth floor of the tower but there was something inside him that told that they didn't die on the fifth floor.
"Good morning Keith," said a feminine voice. Keith looked back and smiled. The woman had long purple hair, pale white complexion, ocean eyes, pink lips and long black eyelashes. She was 5'6 feet tall and had a curvy body. She wore a black t-shirt and blue jeans. The person that he was looking at was his one of his childhood friends and his crush.
"Good morning Kayla," Keith replied in a cheerful manner. "You excited for your awakening?" Keith asked his little sister.
"Why would I be excited when I am going to end up a dog bought by some rich dragon bastard," She replied, her voice dripping with anger and bitterness. She didn't like the way humans were treated in this society. Humans were always on the bottom of the food chain and were always mistreated by the dragons and onis. She hated this system so much with every fiber of her being. Don't they need us to procreate? Aren't we the ones that are stopping the race from going extinct? She would often ask herself. The rage and hatred she had towards those two races is what fueled to train and get stronger but the human body had its limits.
Keith sensing the rage emitting from Kayla he decided to divert to the conversation. "Is that koala still asleep," Keith said in a sarcastic tone.
"I am right behind you," an ominous and menacing deep voice from behind him. 'I'm dead,' Keith thought to himself.
The person behind put him in a headlock and choked Keith with all of his strength. Keith was desperately gasping for breath. His vision was getting blurry and he was moments away from passing out that when the person behind him let him go.
Keith stood up and took in a few deep breaths before he looked at the man who choked him. The man' complexion was a pale white, long hair as white as snow, crimson red eyes. His height was 6'5 feet and had the build of a model. The man' name was Suguru
"I am going kill you one day," Keith declared, his voice dripping with anger. He glared at him, fury radiating from his golden eyes.
"Keep dreaming," he said in a mocking tone. "Now let's hurry or we'll be late for the awakening." He grabbed Keith's and Kayla's and dragged them out of the orphanage. The trio bolted towards the nearest train station and bought tickets to the nearest church in their area. Awakening Ceremonies are held in churches for humans but for dragons and onis they'll would do they awakening in private so as to not reveal their children's abilities.
The opened the doors of the church and what greeted them was a nun who was wearing a blindfold in the middle of the room. The nun had raven black hair and two horns protruding from her forehead indicating that she was a dragon. The nun was holding and crystal orb and told them to come forward. All three of them went forward and touched the orb.
The orb started glowing brightly and the nun told them to remove their hands. The orb then announced the results.
[Keith, you have acquired the Master of Mimicry class]
[Suguru, you have acquired the Master of Death class]
[Kayla, you have acquired Telekinetic Witch]
As soon as they heard the names of their classes, memories of the past started flooding in their heads.
"Suguru and Kayla, let's get out of here," Keith shouted in an urgent voice.
The trio bolted toward the exit but it was already too late…
