Tina felt her heart beat skip for a moment, hearing those words from the nurse it was as if her world came crashing down. Tears dripped from her eyes as the room suddenly fell into a state of transquilty.
Right that instant Tina felt like running over a cliff or just hanging herself. She just wished the ground would open and swallow her. Just then her heart rate increased on the monitor and it started beeping uncontrollably. The doctor panicked and tried to stabilized her breathing movement but he soon realized that Tina was unconscious.
" Quickly prepare an oxygen mask." He ordered the nurse.

When Tina regained consciousness, there was no longer pain in her heart. She felt weak and had drained all her energy weeping profusely, now she no longer had any tears to shed. She sat up steadily, and took notice of the drip attached to her hand.
She reclined on the bed, lost in a whirlwind of thoughts. Suddenly she clenched her fist in anger. That bastard, she calls a husband he was the reason this happened! She had waited all her life to have a child. Now she lost the her unborn baby, not just that she was never going to be able to gi e birth again! Tina felt life stuffing her face in a pillow and scream loudly.
She didn't wanted to sign the divorce Papers because she felt that her child needed a father's love. She didn't think that any man would want her again after she divorced Drayton. She just wanted to be loved and have a family she can call her own. Now she has lost everything, her family, her child and her dignity as a woman, she felt her world slowly crumbling to pieces.
Just then she heard noise coming from the background, she jerked back into reality from her deep thoughts as she tilted her head to the direction of the door. She slowly removed the drip from her hand and climbed down from the hospital bed. Trudging along the busy hallway she could hear the voice clear. What do you mean, she can't give birth." The voice yelled. Tina had never heard such an enchanting voice, it dripped with coldness and authority. But at the same time she felt she had heard that voice before.... strange.
Tina wasn't found of eavesdropping but her curiosity got the best of so she inches forward. "Your wife's health is very critical, giving birth at this stage could lead to her death." The doctor said. "You told me everything would be fine after the surgery! The man hit his fist on the table and the doctor flinched.
"Well.....well it's complicated, her womb can't take up much stress for long, it's either the baby is surgically removed and comes into the world and she dies, or you arrange a surrogate." The doctor said with a hush of finality. But then Leon signalled the guard behind him and they got the message. Immediately they picked up the doctor as if he was a piece of clothes, and he was hanging loosely in the air.
"Ha! What are you doing? Please let me go! He said awfully petrified. "If anything happens to my wife Rose, I wil make you regret it." Leon's voice was cold as he turned to leave he pressed a button on the earphone in his ear. "I give you ten minutes, arrange a suitable surrogate for my wife, the tag price is half a million and a personal villa." Leon said to his personal secretary Ivan who was on the other line.
The doctors head exploded at the figure Leon just called, half a million! That could solve his life time problems. Tina was still eavesdropping, immediately she heard what Leon had said she gasped in amusement. "Half a million! She didn't know when she screamed, someone came from behind her and enveloped her mouth dragging her away from the door.
At first Tina thought that she was being kidnapped, she struggled to wiggle her way out of the grip of the person pulling her backwards. Immediately she turned around and saw that it was the nurse she sighed in relief. Why would you sneak up on me like that? Tina's heart was still racing. "You are not well, you are suppose to be in bed." The nurse said pulling Tina to her room gently
"Mr. Tan It is almost impossible to find a suitable surrogate for your wife Rose." The doctor said genuinely as he addressed Leon formally, but a lot of pressure was applied to his neck by the body guards. The doctor didn't care about the pain he was feelin, warning Leon forehand was very crucial as his life defended on it.
"You see", the doctor continued. "I have done my research, a lot of people who take up the job of being a surrogate mother can't handle it, due to some complications therby leading to both the surrogate and the unborn child's death." Leon signaled the guards to release the doctor and a dropped him abrasively on the floor.
He groaned in pain but did not dare to complain. "So you really think I am incompetent? That wasn't a question and the doctor was wise enough to know that so he sidestepped Leon's words. "I have undergone a lot of research, the probability of you find a suitable surrogate with the right compability is less than ten percent." The doctor said readjusting his broken lenses. But Leon arched his brows. We will see about that." Those were his final words before he trotted out of the doctors office with big strides.
Meanwhile Tina was forced to lay on the hospital bed in the female ward by the nurse. It was at this moment she realized the interior decor of the room she was in, it had a modern taste. Tina arched her brows, "If I may ask what is the name of this hospital? She questioned the nurse. It is the capital hospital of Tanye." The nurse said and Tina's forehead creased in astonishment, this wasn't the hospital she had told the taxi driver to drop her off. He must have made a mistake, and she was in too much pain to have noticed it.
"Don't worry madam, your bills have been settled, by a kind lady." The nurse said handing Tina glass of water. Tina couldn't think of anyone that she knew that could handle the bills of such an expensive hospital. She knew Drayton couldn't have sent anyone after her, he would be glad if he heard she was dead, so who was this mystery person. Can I please know the name of the lady, I would really love to thank her personally." Tina felt grateful for this person's help, she was well aware that such an expensive hospital as this one wouldn't start any treatment without any deposit and she was right.
When Tina had walked into the hospital bleeding profusely Rose Tanye the wife of a multi billionaire, who happened to be Leon's wife, was sittied on a bench awaiting Leon's return from the doctors office. Immediately she had spotted Tani unconscious on the floor she was moved, she immediately decided to pay for the bills and ordered the nurse's around to start the treatment immediately.
It was after Tani had been rushed to the emergency ward, that Leon stepped out of the doctor's office and soon both of them were on their way home. That single act of Rose, saved Tani's life.
The nurse racked her brain trying to remember the person who paid for Tina's bill but she couldn't. "I can't seem to remember, I will check the files and get back to you." The nurse said taking her leave. Just then another nurse came in rolling a cart of food in, she set the food in front of Tina, but Tina was too astonished to lift a finger. Her eye's skimmed through the food in front of her, they looked expensive, and smelled good also.
She really did have to meet this mystery person and thank her. Tani shifted uncontrollably on the bed, she had lost her appetite, the thought of loosing her child had filled her stomach there was no space left for any meal. "Take it away I am not hungry." Tina said but the nurse was defiant. "Ma'am you have to eat something, Mrs Rose won't be happy to hear that you haven't had anything to eat." Immediately Tani heard her mention that name her heart flattered.
"Mrs Rose Tanye! Is she in the hospital right now? Tani questioned and the nurse nodded her head affirmatively. Tani was about to climb down from the bed and scurry out of the room, but the nurse held her back. "I will only let you leave once you have had something to eat, Mrs Rose won't be leaving the hospital anytime soon, so you will still be able to meet her." Tani knew she could no longer refuse the meal in front of her, she wanted to meet Mrs Rose badly and thank her for her benovelence.
Tani adjusted herself in a comfortable position, and picked up a bowl of soup from the food cart. Seeing this the nurse was very pleased, she went ahead to switch on the TV that was in the room. The TV sprang to life, and it was on the news channel.
Mr Drayton's wedding to his new wife is a hot topic right now." The reporter from the TV echoed. There was a mouthful of noodles in Tani's mouth but immediately she heard what the reporter had said she spat out the food in her mouth and raised her gaze to glance at the TV across the room. Suddenly she started choking uncontrollably, as her eyes turned watery.
The nurse immediately rushed to her side and poured out a glass of water, she handed it over to Tani and she took it and gulped down the whole content. Her heart was bleeding as she couldn't take her eyes of the screen. Bodly written as the headline was.....
