Someone pressed the doorbell to the Anderson villa and it ringed recklessly. Just then the door flug open revealing the face of a old butler. The butler looked dazed for a moment but was quick to regain his composure.
"Yes madam, how may I.....Tani was quick to cut in, she had no time for all this formality. I want to see your boss." She said casually, and the butler was amazed. Wasn't this his mistress home, they were yet to get a divorce. "My boss does not like being disturbed during his leisure time, but you can give him a phone call and get his permission." Tani gave the butler a deadly glare.
She felt like striking him across his chicks but she held herself back. For some reason all Drayton's household staff never regarded her with the respect she deserved. After all she was nothing but a mere housewife to them. Drayton! Tani screamed from outside, the butler felt his ear ring with deafness as he took a step back why pressing his ear firmly with his hand.
Drayton was busying having a romantic escaped with his new wife in the living room, which was clearly inappropriate. He had clearly told his butler that no one was allowed to intrude, but on hearing his name he was baffled. Who would dare to address him by his name, and while screaming like that? He looked at the sexy woman in front of him and groaned, as he rised to his feet and made his way to the main living room, where the glass door to the mansion was.
From a distance he caught sight of Tani standing at the doorstep with a scornful countenance, immediately he saw her his mood became sour. He lurched towards the door with big strides and immediately Tani saw him her eyes flashed with anger.
Before Drayton could open his mouth to say a word Tani threw some papers in the air and they draped slowly over Drayton falling on him. He snatched a paper in the air and skimmed through, then he snorted inwardly. This were divorce papers, just before Tani had come to his residence she had made her way to the court registry and got the divorce papers ready, she couldn't wait any longer to be free from the bondage called marriage.
But his pompous attitude disappeared when he saw Tani's signature on the paper, he was dazed for a moment he thought he wasn't seeing vividly. He snatched another paper still dangling in the air and his eyes quickly shifted to where the signature sign was, Tani's signature was also on this paper. He continued to snatch the rest of the paper in the air, all the papers had Tani's signature.
He glared at Tani solemnly, so she was actually doing this. Didn't she want to stay because of his wealth? He didn't mind having two wives. Sign the papers Mr Anderson, and when you are done send them to my lawyer." She cooed and turned around to leave but Drayton gripped her by the wrist.
"Didn't you swear you loved me with every but of your heart, how come you agreed to this so easily? He was greatly annoyed, he didn't expect her to really sign the divorce Papers, it was only a threath to warn her that he emitted more authority than her. He wanted to remind her of her place in his house, not chase her away.
Tani snatched her grip from him and sneered. She wished she could take those words back. Don't you dare lay your filthy hands on me Mr. Anderson, you have lost that right." Tani voice dripped with ann ICU deamenour, one that Drayton had never seen. He was wary of her change of attitude, but still felt he could exercise some authority over her.
"You are still my wife, I haven't signed the papers yet." He thought he could actually use his adroit way to get the best of her. I don't care if you sign those papers or not Drayton, you mean nothing to me as far as I am concerned, we are divorced. Just then Debby walked up to where they stood with nothing but a thin fabric on her body.
Darling what is taking you so long? She whined like a child and Tani felt disgusted. Her eyes flashed at Debby's stomach, it wasn't yet obvious that she was pregnant. It pained Tani to the core that Drayton was the cause of her miscarriage, but now he had a wife by his side who was ready to throw herself at him. She wasn't even sure any man would ever accept her again, who would want a woman that can never give birth again. Tani was trying not to be emotional.
You didn't add any compensation? Drayton's nonchalantly asked after skimming through the papers perfunctorily. He was expecting Tani to ask for a Villa, or a huge sum of money, but she didn't asked for anything, this really amused him. He thought that she had married him because of his wealth. "I don't need anything from you." Tani said sparing him a glare.
"Don't act pompous Tani, how will you survive out there, you will end up on the streets with no where to go and become a beggar instantly." Drayton rattled like a wild beast. "I know you married me for my money you don't have to pretend, I will compensate you."
Tani smiled bitterly, if I really married you for your money then you would have become insolvent by now Drayton. I don't care about you or your money." Tani didn't want to waste her time explaining herselr, it was useless talking to this birdbrain. "As from today you are dead to me Drayton. She said and walked away.
She didn't have anywhere to go, but she felt her dignity boost as she was finally out of this toxic marriage. As she trotted along the lawn of the mansion languishly making her way out of the gate, some memories of her life with Drayton began to flash in her mind.
From the first time they met I a coffee shop, the day he kissed her and made her a woman. She remembered clearly the first gift she got from him, although he never did acknowledge the ones she got for him. How he carried her bridal style on their wedding night, and snatched her virginity away from her.
Then suddenly she remembered her own voice in her head, while she was in the altar on their wedding day, as she held on to her bouquet of flowers probably thinking of the life ahead of her like any other newly wedded bride."I do, I take Drayton as my newly wedded husband." Her voice rang in her head. As Tani stepped her feet out of the Draytons Mansion arena, she suddenly remembered the last word she had just said to him.
" You are dead to me." It rang in her head and she was glad she made her point clear. As Tani trudged along the busy road, she began to wonder where she would go, she had no one to call family. Her friend Daisy would have been the best option, but now she was married. She didn't want to interfere in her besties life, and make her feel inconvenient in anyway.
As the options ran out, she only had one left to choose and that was to go back home. To the very place her life started, and to the very place she was treated as nothing but a servant, wasn't that the reason why she was so desperate to be with Drayton in the first place. Her parents played a key role in her present predicament, if only they had been courteous towards her.
Tani sighed as she retrieved her steps, and flung down a taxi. She was heading home, and immediately she got there a feeling of anxiety overwhelmed her. She felt like turning back, but did she really have a choice it was here or nothing. Even if she was left to sleep in the yard, at least she had a roof over her head.
The gate was locked so she called on a guard nearby. "Please let me in, I want to see my father." Tani said but the guard was strict. He felt like laughing as he gazed at the disheveled woman in front of him. How pathetic! She didn't have to lie that she was Mr Ross daughter just to get in. He thought to himself inwardly.
"Do you think I am dumb? The sacarsm in his voice was daring. "I know you are not this family daughter, leave or else I will chase you away myself." The guard said and Tina's forehead creased in annoyance. "I am, I really am, wait I will prove it." She said taking out her phone, she swiped it open and quickly bought out a picture of her with her father in a garden. She zoomed the picture and tried to show it to the guard.
"Here, take a look, you can see for yourself." Tani said stretching her hand between the bars of the gate but the guard didn't even make an attempt to glance at it, she felt fed up. "Let me in right now! She screamed, if she had her way, she would definitely get this man fired.
Just then a woman wearing a sunhat with a pair of black glasses, came out. She had a glass of juice in her hand as she trotted towards the gate her almond eyes sharp and contrasting that of a demure lady. When Tina saw her she felt a bit relief but the next thing she heard left her stunned.
"You brat! What are you doing here?
