Chapter 21 - 21 Changes in the Room of Requirement

 "Hey, Baron! Merry Christmas!"

After a semester of getting along, Avada and Baron have become friends who trust each other. Including the "mental link" magic, which was also completed

with the cooperation of Baron.

Early in the morning of Christmas, Avada got up and went to the auditorium. He followed the students who stayed on campus in groups of three or four to congratulate each other while enjoying the Christmas special cakes and gingerbread provided by the house elves, as well as hot black tea. Then he saw Baron walking in from the gate from a distance, so he stood up and greeted him.

 "Merry Christmas, Ken!"

Baron smiled and thanked him, and walked over to sit opposite Avada - anyway, there were only a few people staying on campus during the Christmas holiday, so there was no separate table for dinner.

"How about my Christmas present for you? Are you satisfied?"

"I couldn't be more satisfied." Avada praised. The Christmas gift Baron gave him was a book from his family's library, which was about the research and exploration of mental power by modern wizards. It not only recorded a lot of knowledge related to mental power, but also showed a complete historical context of exploring mental power.

This was a letter Baron wrote to his family after participating in Avada's mental connection experiment and learning that he was studying mental power. Avada was inspired by just reading the beginning.

However, this precious gift also made him feel troubled: he didn't know what to give Baron in return for a while. As for gold galleons, he was a pure-blooded noble and had no shortage of them; the talent optimization operation was too complicated and could not be completed in a day or two; he had taught Baron mental connection magic before Christmas, so it didn't count; and sending a few homemade cakes like other Hufflepuffs seemed a bit unkind very happy.

It was rare to see him so relaxed on weekdays. "It's a feather pen that can write on the air, and if there is wind, it will change the font and color according to the size and direction of the wind - I'll show you later!"

Avada couldn't help but sigh inwardly after hearing this. He has no relatives in this world, and his friends in the orphanage don't even know where he is now, so naturally they can't send gifts. But he did send some candies and cookies he made, as well as a letter describing his current situation, of course, omitting the part related to magic.

 "Don't mention this for now."

Avada showed a mysterious smile and turned the next conversation into a team voice with a mental link: "Let's go and see the Christmas gift I mentioned first. It's ready. I'll take you to see it after dinner."

As soon as this message was sent out, Avada immediately saw that Baron's eating speed had increased a lot.

But in the end, Avada finished his meal first. After all, Baron was a nobleman no matter what, and he still had to be elegant when eating.

After Baron swallowed the last bite of cake and wiped his mouth gracefully, Avada stood up first and waved to him: "Follow me."

"What are you going to do?"

He couldn't help but ask curiously when Avada led him to climb the stairs. He really couldn't think of what kind of Christmas gift needed to be prepared in a special place, and it was on a high floor far away from the Hufflepuff common room.

"It's on the eighth floor, you'll know when you get there."

That's right, Avada planned to reveal the existence of the Room of Requirement to Baron as a Christmas gift.

This was a decision he made after some thought. First of all, the most important thing in the Room of Requirement, the Ravenclaw's diadem, had been placed elsewhere by himself, and the Vanishing Cabinet was currently in a damaged state, so it was not a big problem. And its existence itself was not a big secret. Avada dared to guarantee that there must be people in the school who knew about this room besides himself, and they might have left some traces in the hidden room.

What's more, the characteristics of the Room of Requirement were indeed magical and fun - who could refuse a room that could fulfill their wishes?

In this way, Avada brought Baron to the eighth floor and stood opposite the tapestry of a giant beating Barnabas with a club.

 "Okay, here it is."

Baron looked around and asked in confusion, "So, what have you prepared?"

"It depends on your needs. Tell me, what do you want now?" Avada looked at Baron's confused face and answered with a forced smile.

Baron was stunned for a moment, and then confirmed from Avada's eyes that he was not joking.

"Uh, I think..." he asked tentatively, "I want to learn more knowledge?"

 "Okay, get ready!"

Avada walked back and forth three times along the wall, and a smooth door unexpectedly appeared on the wall that was originally empty. He pushed the door open under Baron's astonished gaze, and inside was a library full of books.

"Is there a hidden library here?"

Baron did not rush in, but stayed outside, stroking the door that suddenly appeared. It took him a long time to react: "No! If that's all, how did you know that I would put forward the wish of 'wanting to learn more knowledge'?"

"Because, this is not just a library!" Avada finally stopped keeping it a secret: "You can call it the 'Room of Requirement'!"

Then, he told Baron the function and usage of the Room of Requirement.

 "Is it really that magical?"

Baron was skeptical after hearing this, and then he began to pace, push the door, go in and take a look, pace again, and push the door again...

Training ground, lounge, bathroom, kitchen, library, greenhouse, classroom... Basically, all the types of rooms that Avada could think of were opened by Baron, and he had a lot of fun. After trying for an unknown period of time, Baron finally ran out of imagination, closed the door of the last room, and looked happily at Avada who was standing aside and watching him play quietly.

 "Thanks, Ken!"

"Thanks to you for sharing this secret with me, this is definitely the most interesting Christmas gift I have ever received!"

"Of course, how can something I like be boring!"

Avada showed a proud smile, and then turned his head and said: "But I saw that you tried so many times just now, but you still didn't open the most valuable room..."

"There are still rooms that I haven't opened?" Baron was surprised.

The Avatar nodded and smiled, "Try to say to yourself 'I need a place to hide something' while you pace."

Baron's eyes lit up when he heard this, and he immediately began to pace back and forth three times. As he finished the last walk, the smooth door appeared on the wall again. He pushed the door open impatiently, and then exclaimed wow.

"Well, what's gathered here are the collections of all the people who have discovered this room over the past thousand years. Their value is inestimable. And now they are all ownerless."

Baron ran in excitedly without knowing whether he had heard it or not. He looked left and right among the messy items, and exclaimed from time to time:

"Is this the Gubler fairy fire? Merlin, it has been burning for hundreds of years!"

"A semi-finished golden snitch! This is the first time I have seen the internal structure of a golden snitch!"

 "What is this, a spyglass?"

"What is this egg? Why is it so big? It can't be a dragon egg... Oh, it's fake."

"And this doll is so delicate, it looks exactly like a real person..."

"No! Ken, come here quickly! This is Professor Baker! He fell here!!"
