Chapter 19 - 19 Tea Party and Finished Intelligence Enchancers

Although Avada's schedule was already a headache for him, he still did not intend to miss this memorable tea party. After all, he did not exist to kill Voldemort. All he wanted was a peaceful and happy life.

It was just that Voldemort's existence hindered his and most people's dreams, and he himself did have the ability to get rid of Voldemort in advance, so he pushed himself so nervous. But if he really had free time, or if it was necessary, he would not mind relaxing and making friends appropriately, and occasionally enjoying normal campus life.

So the next day, when he returned to the Hufflepuff common room from the Astronomy Tower, he saw a scene he had never seen before:

The entire common room had somehow expanded several times out of thin air, and several long tables that seemed to be borrowed from the kitchen were placed around the common room, on which were placed all kinds of pastries and drinks: cakes, biscuits, scones, puddings, mousse, milk tea...

and on the open space in the middle were some small round tables, each with a teapot on it and a few chairs around it. Many wizards and witches lingered around the long table to eat by themselves, or sat around the round table to drink and chat, with a happy atmosphere, looking like a large banquet.

However, people attending the banquet often dress themselves meticulously and show the most elegant manners at the banquet. The wizards here were still wearing casual clothes or pajamas that they usually wore in the common room, and some even wore slippers directly.

  "Qiu?"

Avada recognized at a glance that Qiu, who did not belong to Hufflepuff, appeared here and was chatting happily with another boy.

Avada took a few steps closer and saw the boy's face clearly: it was Cedric.

"Hey, Ken!" The two raised their hands and smiled and greeted Avada. Avada also walked forward and joined the conversation between the two: "Hello, Cedric, and Qiu, you are also invited to the tea party?"

"She is one of the volunteer chefs for this tea party!"

Cedric laughed and patted Qiu's shoulder, and Qiu smiled a little embarrassedly and nodded in acknowledgement.

"Thanks to what you told me at the opening banquet, I was able to discover her craftsmanship and invite her to the tea party - look over there, those puff pastry scones and red date cakes are her achievements."

Avada looked in the direction he went, and sure enough, he saw several plates of exquisite moon cakes and date cakes placed on a long table, and many people went over to take them. It seemed that they would be divided up soon.

"Wait, what's with those crooked pieces on the plate?"

"Oh, I learned how to make them. Pretty, right?"

Qiu couldn't help rolling her eyes. "Actually, they tasted OK, but Ced insisted on shaping the pastry into the shape of a Niffler, and I couldn't persuade him, so it's like this."

Avada looked at it carefully again and felt that the shape was closer to a five-legged monster than a Niffler.

Oh, and the pastry with the cracked puff pastry, which seemed to be a mooncake, he almost mistook it for a Dementor figurine.

  "...Keep going."

Avada wished sincerely, and then parted with the two of them, no longer being a light bulb.

'I didn't expect that the opportunity for Cedric and Qiu would actually become me...'

'Is it a coincidence or fate? '

'If it's fate, then why am I here? What is my fate? '

He didn't know what the opportunity was for Cedric and Qiu to become a couple in the original book, nor did he know whether the Department of Mysteries in the original book also conducted experiments to create a person named Avada Kendavia. But he was sure that he was definitely not a character in the original book - the plot was the same with him, and the plot was the same without him. Was he a time traveler in vain?

It couldn't be that he couldn't even survive the first semester?

He was thinking about it, looking around for something, and shook his head helplessly after looking around: "Is Baron really not coming?"

As a familiar friend, Avada must have invited Baron to the tea party, but Baron refused him by saying "A qualified Slytherin should enrich himself first instead of meaningless enjoyment", and even tried to drag him to the library.

Avada was helpless about this: I am anxious to study in order to deal with Voldemort, why are you anxious?

Although they had only known each other for a few days, it was not difficult for Avada to find that Baron was the most traditional aristocrat in his bones - proud, martial, with a strong sense of morality, valuing honor and credit, and also considering taking responsibility as his duty. So he also understood Baron's eagerness to improve himself and lead the college to regain its honor.

But he was still young and inexperienced, so he was too naive and impatient in this regard. How could he alone change the reputation of a college that had accumulated over countless years?

But he hadn't said this to Balon Ming yet. After all, the two had only known each other for a few days, and it was inappropriate to talk too much with a stranger.

So he found his three roommates, Xia Bi, Summers and Stebbins, and talked with them about their recent studies and life, while tasting and commenting on the food on the table, and by the way, he exchanged school life experiences with several familiar seniors.

"Are those people over there selling things?"

While walking around, Avada found a group of people standing in a more remote corner, gesticulating and making gestures. Sometimes they would take out some potions, magic materials or magic items and give them to others, asking them to carefully check with their wands. Finally, after handing over or getting some Galleons and Sickles, they would separate.

  "Didn't we tell you yesterday?"

Xia Bi explained, "Our college finally held a tea party, so we naturally have to use this opportunity to get together to discuss needs and exchange what we have. It is normal to do some business. Moreover, we basically don't have to worry about credit issues here, so transactions are naturally much easier and more convenient."

is such a magical thing, you must buy it!"

In the end, it was Avada who was dragged over by his three roommates to ask the seniors who sold magic potions. As a result, as soon as he asked the first person, the other party eagerly said that it was no problem at all.

"Intelligence enhancer? That's easy. Although I don't have any ready-made on hand, I can make it on the spot and it will be delivered to you tomorrow afternoon. Don't worry, my potion level is good enough and my grades have never been lower than E since the first year!"

"Really? That's great. The four of us want a bottle each. How much is the total?"

After hearing this, the other party's smile became even brighter: "Four Galleons per bottle. Thank you for your patronage!"

"How much?!"

The four of them, including Avada, were shocked by the offer - they have known about the magical world for more than a month, and Avada has some understanding of the purchasing power of Galleons; and he only learned about the production method of intelligence enhancer yesterday (although he didn't understand it), and didn't inquire about the prices of those materials and instruments.

  "Is it expensive?"

The senior blinked in confusion: "The cost of a bottle of intelligence enhancer is more than three Galleons. It is reasonable for me to make a profit of about one-fifth, right? This is already a friendly price within the college."

"Or..." He looked at the four juniors in front of him suspiciously: "You actually don't know anything about intelligence enhancers?"

  "By the way,"

Avada also looked at his three roommates in confusion: "I need an intelligence enhancer because I have something that I need to master urgently. What do you want this thing for?"

"Huh? Isn't an intelligence enhancer a magic potion that makes people smarter?" The three of them were confused.

After explaining, in the end only Avada paid for a reservation of an intelligence enhancer, while Xia Bi and the others turned their grief and anger into appetite and continued to sweep up the cakes at the tea party.
