Garcia went back to her seat as I was done talking to her. The event seemed to be going smoothly.
Everything was fine until I heard laughter.
I paused, my lips pressed together, looking at the person who was laughing.

I just wanted to ignore Ava. They had just arrived, but Ava approached me with her hands on her hips, her four fingers curling.

I was confused for a moment before I clearly understood what she was saying.
