Chapter 30 - Dark Farm 26

Wan Qian carried Wen Xirou back to the staff dormitory.

Xiao Lin, who had been restless in the cafeteria, Xiao Lin immediately rushed over in excitement as soon as she saw Wan Qian carrying Wen Xirou back.

"Ms. Wan, is Sister Xirou okay?" Xiao Lin asked, her voice filled with worry and excitement, almost on the verge of tears.

Wan Qian couldn't bear to see a girl cry and quickly reassured her, "It's nothing serious, nothing serious, she just fainted from menstrual pain."

"Huh?"

Xiao Lin, who knew the situation, understood that Wen Xirou hadn't had her period. But seeing the serious expression on Wan Qian's face, Xiao Lin understood.

There must be something more to Wen Xirou's fainting, and Wan Qian didn't want others to know, so she said it this way.

Sure enough, when Xiao Lin looked around, she noticed that there were indeed several subtle glances, secretly sizing them up.

She wiped away her tears and said cautiously, "Alright, I'll go get some hot water for Sister Xirou."

With that, Xiao Lin turned and went to the boiler to fetch some hot water.

Wan Qian carried the unconscious Wen Xirou upstairs, opened the dormitory door, and gently laid her on the bed.

"Sigh… YIn addition to your work, you should also take good care of your body." Wan Qian sighed softly.

At the same time, Wen Xirou, lying on the bed, slightly fluttered her eyelashes.

In her dazed state, Wen Xirou only vaguely felt someone carrying her, and taking her away from the dangerous office.

Who could it be? Someone who would go into danger to rescue her.

A name vaguely lingered in her mind, just on the tip of her tongue, yet she couldn't bring herself to say it.

Then, she heard fragmented words from the person beside her.

"… take good care of yourself…"

"…shouldn't have let her go to the office… "

No, it's not your fault! Wen Xirou suddenly opened her eyes and saw the person sitting beside her bed.

It was Wan Qian! Wen Xirou instinctively reached out and grabbed Wan Qian's arm.

"Wan Qian!" she exclaimed, still a little shaken but already anxious, "It's not your fault; you definitely didn't expect it either!"

Wan Qian looked at Wen Xirou with concern, placing a hand on her shoulder to get her to lie down.

"You should rest first. Starting tomorrow, I'll keep helping you with leave requests until you're fully rested."

Wen Xirou hurriedly said, "I don't need rest, I can do it!"

Wan Qian insisted, her tone leaving no room for argument, "You need to rest!"

"I really can!" Wen Xirou insisted.

Ah… what a dedicated person! Even after fainting at her workstation, she still worried about her work and didn't want to take time off.

Every company needs employees like this, hardworking and ambitious. Wan Qian was even moved by Wen Xirou's dedication.

"It's fine, just rest. I'll take care of the rest."

Knowing that Wen Xirou was dedicated to her work, Wan Qian naturally valued such a talented person.

Seeing that Wan Qian insisted on her resting, Wen Xirou had no choice but to give in.

"Alright, I'll listen to you."

Wen Xirou had been brought back by Wan Qian.

However, the two who should have shared a dorm with the burly man, Wu Hao, didn't return—the man wearing glasses and the fatty.

At first, At first, not seeing the two of them, Wu Hao breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that changing jobs was the right decision; otherwise, if he had stayed behind, it would have been him who wouldn't be coming back now.

But after dinner, when he returned to the dormitory and saw the empty room with only himself in it, Wu Hao began to panic.

He remembered the dormitory rule that each room must have at least two people. Not wanting to break the rule, Wu Hao knocked on the door of the next dormitory.

"One of you needs to come and share the room with me tonight."

The people in the adjacent dormitory weren't fools; they knew Wu Hao's style of doing things.

Anyone who became his roommate would likely end up as his servant, just like the man wearing glasses and the fatty. When they heard Wu Hao's unreasonable demand, they immediately rejected him.

"No one here wants to share a room with you."

Seeing Wu Hao preparing to make a move, they quickly slammed the door shut, trapping him outside.

Wu Hao pounded on the door, even kicking it, but it didn't budge.

"You guys wait, I'll stay right here by the door. I don't believe you won't open it to go take a shower."

After a while, Wu Hao stopped pounding and sat down in front of the door with his arms crossed.

The others in the nearby dorms, who were watching, were very dissatisfied with Wu Hao's thug-like behavior, but they dared not speak up.

It was better for them if he bothered others instead of them.

As time passed, it got darker, and the farm's broadcast came on twice more.

It was now 8:00 PM, and Wu Hao was still sitting by the door, unmoving.

The people in that dormitory began to panic.

If they opened the door, at least one person would have to share the room with Wu Hao.

But if they didn't open the door, how could they go out to shower? And if they didn't shower, it would definitely violate the rules.

Wu Hao sat motionlessly, knowing that after weighing the pros and cons, the people in that dormitory would have no choice but to do what he wanted.

Just when the people in the dormitory made up their minds to open the door, two familiar figures appeared at the stairwell.

It was the glasses-wearing man and the fatty. They seemed no different from normal people.

Still timid and shrinking, they went into their dormitory, grabbed their change of clothes, and headed to the bathroom at the end of the hallway.

As they passed by Wu Hao, they instinctively showed a fearful expression and stepped aside.

Wu Hao froze, wide-eyed. The two of them came back alive?

Wait, are the glasses-wearing man and the fatty really alive? From their expressions, there was no way to tell that something was wrong with these two.
