Chapter 33 - Dark Farm 29

"But how can you be sure that telling him will eliminate the unstable factor?"

Wan Qian could understand Tian Fang's motives, but this approach still wasn't very convincing.

If Wu Hao didn't care at all about whether the shampoo and body wash were clean, then even if Tian Fang told him, it wouldn't make any difference.

Hearing Wan Qian's question, Tian Fang's expression became even more respectful and cautious.

"I can't be completely sure. Rather than calling it an attempt, it's more of a gamble."

Tian Fang was betting that Wu Hao would use those body care products and end up bringing about his own downfall.

Wan Qian: "…Alright, suit yourself."

Tian Fang visibly relaxed and quickly said, "Thank you for your understanding."

She could tell that from beginning to end, Wan Qian had never shown any strong disapproval of her actions.

It seemed that while Wan Qian was kind, she was not overly compassionate.

That made sense. A person like Wan Qian would naturally aspire to help and save others, but having noble ideals alone wasn't enough to survive in a place filled with ghosts and monsters.

Making decisive choices at critical moments was the key to survival.

Tian Fang carefully evaluated Wan Qian in her mind.

Just as she was about to leave, Wan Qian suddenly called out to her, "Wait!"

Tian Fang stopped in her tracks and looked up at her, her expression once again tensing up as she asked in a low voice, "Do you have something else to say?"

Wan Qian listened to the way she spoke and felt an odd sense of familiarity. Narrowing her eyes slightly, she made a guess, "You're from Jing City, aren't you?"

Tian Fang's eyes widened in shock. "How did you know?!"

In a thriller world, people who entered the same haunted realm usually came from different cities and, more often than not, did not know each other in real life.

Some people have even entered a haunted realm not based on their own country's background, but one from a foreign land. Without understanding the language, they couldn't even read the rules—and died on the first day.

Due to the many uncertainties within the haunted realm, it wasn't uncommon for people to develop grudges even after clearing the stage.

For this reason, those who originally came from different regions and were complete strangers to one another rarely revealed their real-world identities.

Apart from Liu Wen, no one in this haunted realm knew that Tian Fang was from Jing City.

So, when Wan Qian exposed Tian Fang's origins, Tian Fang was shocked to that extent. Wan Qian was this powerful?!

"Ah, it's nothing, just a guess." Wan Qian casually wiped her hair with a towel.

Her tone was relaxed, even carrying a faint, friendly smile. Her gaze didn't linger on Tian Fang at all. Yet, deep inside, Tian Fang felt an inexplicable mix of awe and fear.

Wan Qian was warning her. A seemingly casual remark was actually laced with hidden meaning.

Wan Qian must know a lot—perhaps not just her city, but even her age, education, real-world occupation, and maybe even more detailed information.

From the moment she entered the haunted realm, Wan Qian had demonstrated overwhelming strength—and deduction was part of that strength.

With just a simple sentence, Wan Qian was telling her: everything about her was already within her grasp.

At the same time, it was also a warning. Taking action against Wu Hao without permission—such a thing would only be allowed once.

Tian Fang stared at Wan Qian.

In the night, Wan Qian held a white towel, absentmindedly wiping her wet strands, slow and unhurried.

Her gaze was unfocused, as if looking at something—or perhaps nothing at all. Her voice, too, was like a drifting breeze.

"Shampoo and body wash are just temporary issues… It won't be long before they're solved."

Wan Qian's utterly calm voice reached Tian Fang's ears.

"There are people in the farm who shouldn't be here. Once they're dealt with, everything will be over."

Tian Fang's heart pounded violently. Could it be… that this was the rule for exiting the haunted realm?!

She immediately lowered her head and said in a hushed voice, "I understand."

Wan Qian added, "You should trust the butler a little more. At the very least, compared to those outsiders, the colleagues inside the farm are more trustworthy."

"Yes." Tian Fang nodded thoughtfully as she turned and headed back to her room.

Wu Fei's condition had worsened.

Liu Wen sat by the bed. When she saw Tian Fang enter, her expression turned visibly displeased.

"You're back?" Liu Wen raised an eyebrow slightly.

Tian Fang nodded. "Yes. I gave that rule card to Wu Hao."

Liu Wen pressed her lips together but said nothing.

Tian Fang sat down beside her and continued, "Then, I went to find Wan Qian."

"You're crazy?!" Liu Wen's eyes widened, pupils dilating slightly from sheer disbelief.

Both of them agreed that Wan Qian was the strongest person in this haunted realm. They had both tried to avoid clashing with her. Tian Fang taking the initiative to approach Wan Qian after dealing with Wu Hao was undoubtedly a dangerous move.

However, Tian Fang remained calm and composed.

"Do you really think that just because we don't mention something, does Wan Qian not realize them? Everything is within her grasp—me, you—none of us are exceptions."

Liu Wen fell silent.

Tian Fang continued, "Besides, she already knows the exact way to leave the haunted realm."

"That fast?" Liu Wen was shocked.

Tian Fang lowered her gaze. "I suspect that Wan Qian's identity isn't simple."

"You mean…?"

"A Secrets Unraveler." That was the only explanation for why Wan Qian was this powerful.

Even Liu Wen and Tian Fang—both seasoned investigators—weren't qualified to enter the ranks of the Revealers yet.

"Well, she sure got lucky," Liu Wen scoffed. "She latched onto a pretty strong thigh as soon as she arrived."

Tian Fang knew she was referring to Wen Xirou. She had to admit—Wen Xirou was indeed lucky.
