JANE
Lying on the bed on my back, I stared at the ceiling while my mind wandered to the talk we had near the lake. Several questions ran through my head and I sensed an oncoming headache.
Pinching the bridge of my nose, I got up slowly and sat with my back leaning on the cushioned headboard.
We returned to the villa around lunchtime and had lunch together. His capo, Brian Morrison was nowhere to be seen.
I needed to be careful around him.
After lunch, Dominic left for some work while I stayed in the room. Not his room. As promised, he provided a separate room for me, even if just for half a day, as we had to leave for New York tonight.
Dominic D'Amico, in no way, had that obsessed and unhinged stalker vibe I was expecting. Instead, it felt the exact opposite of that whenever I was around him.
