I stared at my finger, surprised to see Ryder's ring on it.
I didn't know how incredibly difficult it would be to part with such a tiny item.
"Right…the ring"
I took it off but I held onto it for a few more minutes before Caspian took off his pendant thread, took the ring from me and proceeded to make it into a necklace. He came closer and placed it on my neck.
It was awkward silence for a little bit. Then I spoke.
"I called him" I whispered "After the attack…I called him with your phone" I told him honestly.
"What did he say?" He asked me.
"Nothing" I let out a big breath " He said nothing" I answered.
"What did you say to him?" He asked me.
"Nothing. I said nothing. It was one hour of nothing"
