it was Jack.
He stepped in front of me.
Everything was becoming a spectacule. Jack looked like he was this close to snapping Ryder into two.
"Respectfully, this is not your business. I just want to make sure that she's okay" Ryder said.
"If I'm okay?" I whispered.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"You want to see if I'm okay?" I asked him again.
It didn't sound right to my ears. "Do I look okay to you, asshole!" I screamed at him.
"No" He watched me…like really watched me.
Like he was seeing me for the very first time.
Like he was just realizing just how much damage he'd done. He blew up my entire life and he was just realizing that he wrecked me?

"Screw you, Ryder. Screw you and your entire family!"
"I'm sorry, Kai," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the din of the cold night "I didn't mean to make things worse. Can I take you out of here?"
