Peter led me down the long, winding corridors of his castle, his footsteps echoing faintly against the stone walls. Each step felt heavier than the last as if the weight of my revenge was pressing down on my very soul. His words from earlier lingered in my mind: "A lot of evil."
"What exactly are you going to show me?" I asked, my voice quieter than I'd intended.
He paused, glancing over his shoulder. His piercing silver eyes seemed to cut through my fear. "Something that will change the way you see yourself, your pack... and him."
Him. Peter didn't need to say Kelvin's name for me to know who he meant. The mention of him brought a fresh wave of anger and bitterness crashing over me, but I pushed it aside. I needed clarity, not chaos.
