Chapter 6 - Parasites Pt.2.

"I'll just tell you this for free and surely as it is, you're definitely one of us. Somehow. According to how much you told me..."

You mean forced out of me...

"Hey..."

He could see Park's face slightly twist in disagreement.

"... I'm sorry, ok? It's kind of..."

He revealed his arm from within the mist obscuring his bottom half, showing his backhand to Park. The numerous tiny eyes glided over one another as they darted back and forth.

"...automatic. Can't blame me, the guy's always awake."

He turned the nozzle counterclockwise, the old rusty gears within squealing as the flow of fine drops gradually ceased. Park also having deemed himself free from grime and being fresher than ever followed suit. They wrapped the somehow clean towels, heading off, each, to an unoccupied room.

"Wait, why can't you just use magic instead?"

"Don't wanna end up like Mr. "Clean"."

"Would you please let it go..."

"That, you'd have to choose, between me," he snapped his fingers, manifesting into being the rabid apparition with a red mute icon above it, "or him."

The blue fury leaped at the individual before another snap sent it back to wherever it was pulled out of.

"Hah, knock yourself out."

"..."

"So, as I was saying," a dark, cloudy ring descended on the two, donning each in their respective attire, "Sweet," "I just did it because I've remembered I still have a lot of work to do."

He mockingly placed his hands over his eyes, "I see nothing. Nothing at all."

"... Anyways, keep a good distance from her or you'll be in trouble."

"But we're the talk of the town already, I'm way past the distance thing."

"I know, you're doomed."

"Huh...?"

"And what might you two be talking about?"

Park hadn't sense anyone come in, even with his current loot, it was still for nought. He turned to catch the gaze of the very person he was warned about, the very same person whom he couldn't see coming.

"I see you're already becoming better, I almost didn't recognize you."

She chuckled at the sly remark and moved forward, past the two and into the entrance of the morgue.

"Once you're done with your chit-chat, you'll help me retrieve my belongings. Besides," Park felt a cold sweat run down his cheek, "I need to prepare myself for the one that almost got away. So, hurry up Anu."

Anu's eyes looked up, staring intensely at something Park couldn't see. He waved farewell and turned the opposite way into the morgue,

"Come on, Y'ggrah, the kid just showered," the door went shut.

"That-!"

Right...

"MUTT!!!!"

It dashed forth, raving mad but almost at the door, sharply halted inches away from the rusting door.

"..."

"What's up...?"

"Darned mutt."

"Why'd you stop...?"

"Turn. And. Walk."

"... Alright..."

"And also stop rubbing your cheek, you look like a fool."

I should visit more...

"I dare you kid..."

*Bang!*

"!"

A great force intruded the building, drawing in attention of all within the premises.

"What the...!"

Anu came rushing out, his ears perked up, erect. The vines wrapping up the doors crawled back into place after allowing him way, out of the morgue.

The door leading into the hallway, next on the chopping block, was also knocked open, in entering the cause of all the present ruckus happening.

"I may need some help."

Looks like I gave him more than he could chew...

"..."

"He doesn't look too good."

The bloody-bandaged heap winced as he drew in heavy breaths, fiercely trying to fight off his current condition.

"What happened to him?"

Anu got to action carefully slicing through the roughly meshed up roads of bandage, exposing the patient's heavily damaged interior.

"I managed to close up most of his wounds,""You did real good," "Thank you, but the poison's an entirely different thing altogether," Gionne pointed out the dark tracks that were forming beneath his skin, the destructive marks inching ever closer towards his eyes.

"Funny creatures they are actually, producing poison that they're weak against."

The revealed chest area shed light on the genesis of the unfolding situation, a spiral mass of slightly throbbing, bulging veins, sending out the tracks and a new one was actively being generated before their very eyes. Anu placed his palm over the mass eating away at the patient,

At least I was able to get here...

"And done," Anu withdrew his palm.

"???"

"W-Wait that's it?"

"Yup!"

"... It senses the truth in a target wanting to live and that does it. But it's a lot more black and white when compared to the eyes of mercy..."

It looks cool still.

"Now if you'll please excuse me, I have to pluck seeds out of people."

"Oh! You do gardeni- did you say people?"

"Buh-Bye!"

Anu left the room, his tail pulling the door behind him by its handle shut.

"Houff!" Gionne slumped into one of the beds nearby. He was beginning to feel the effects that he was always warned about, although a bit mild in his favor.

"That was a new you I've seen. You almost looked similar to someone or something I've seen before," Park took a seat besides him. "Even down to the skin?" "Ok, not that specific, your shade was a bit lighter."

"..."

"So, do you always have that color when changing or...?"

"It changes with the threads that I use, if I use for a certain species, their color bleeds into mine and then I lose it when I revert back to normal."

"Oh...!"

"Also, what you people saw was partial, if it was full-bodied, I would have been lying there next to him," so his actual size might be a lot larger, he nodded towards a bed next to the one the patient was lying on, "though not for long, judging by the stellar services I have witnessed today."

"Heck, might have even been better than the eyes of mercy thing going around. You know about it?"

"And glad that I didn't have to go through it."

"You got the handjob too?"

That sounds wrong, Buddy.

"..."

"Of course you did. You almost look as if you weren't even harmed in the first place."

"And you look like you could be a fine addition to this institute, you know?" He looked elsewhere for a bit.

"I just carried them, just in case."

"Right, because you should have rolls upon rolls of bandages with you."

"If you scrape your knee, don't come begging me for any."

He chuckled, "Guess I'll have to be careful then," not that I'll really have to.

And so the two sat watching over-

"Could you please come?"
