Chapter 8 - What is this my eyes see? Pt.1.

"You could've chosen that one, it was more of my style."

"And fresh grass won't kill you. Take a seat."

I know he's very happy right now.

"Because you're a difficult person to live with? you two have fought ever since you got to know each other."

"..."

"I needed to make sure that it will be smooth sailing for our... Friend."

"Nothing gets by you, huh."

"Open like a book."

The apparition turned over...

"If you had a choice for a human name what would it be?"

"Where is this coming from...?"

"!"

"YURAH! Yurah! Yurah."

"Thank you."

...

YURAH! turned over to a field of flowers in the distance slightly pleased by how the beautiful group danced in the wind and the otherworldly top tier scent that they graced the field with.

"Not bad."

"She did quite some work there, didn't she?"

"She?"

"Yeah, and SHE also doesn't like me walking over there without her permission, says I "scare the flowers", can you believe it?"

Yurah looked on blank faced,"not a word."

"And who are you to raise your voice at me?"

"Can't you at least try to hide it?"

"... That's the thing..."

"Okay enough of this."

[The speech and thought function of the unruly guardian have been seized by an external entity. Release to be determined at the pleasure of the entity.]

"Let's go."

Right in the middle of that magnificent, blue sky, a crack. It covered more and more of that azure skin, wisps of red energy pouring out from within this new, unknown space.

"K'arrln'gathan."

At his call, a giant red arm stormed through grasping Yurah by her waist, the two loosely sets of parallel beads, by its wrist, colliding against each other from the force. The thudding sound they produced spread out to the flower beds in the distance and beyond.

";;; I thought I told you to be better at this, you oaf ;;;"

";;;"

"..."

The child rushed into the crack, K'arrln'gathan following closely after, both clearly afraid of someone.

"Hiiek!"

The child's body was halfway through the crack when he clearly felt a massive tug from the grasslands below, and the force was pulling him under, "NOT TODAY!! I'VE GROWN SICK AND TIRED OF THIS!!!"

IF SHE MANAGES THIS I'M DOOMED!

"...," Yurah said.

"K'ARRLN'GATHAN, ONE SWEEP JUST LIKE WE PRACTISED!!"

Another arm bulged forth from within the red soil and adjusting it's blade in quick motion, it cleanly sliced the child's upper half from it's lower half. The raving beast on the side, given how hard she pulled onto the child's lower half collapsed with it on the grass, a torrent of darkened blood gushed forth which the child watching from above used it to his advantage.

As the beast leaped forth once more, aiming to force herself through the narrow gap left, strands of dark, thick vines sprung with incredible speed forth, wrapping her in a matter of seconds and immediately grounding her forming a cloud of dust around her.

"I'm so sorry honey, I promise to make it up to you!"

She tried to chew on her restraints, but that's as far as it went. She looked over to her flower bed, some of her flowers knocked out by the thud earlier.

"Phew!"

"..."

";;;"

"Make me some legs as I figure out what sort of punishment I should give you."

It drew a sad face onto the soil with the tip of its blade.

"I don't want to hear anything from you. Do you know what's in store for me when I get back home?"

"..."

The other arm, placed Yurah on the soil, shortly after getting to work. It rolled up a huge mound, as tinier hands emerged from its palm.

"And pay attention to detail this time, or I'll have to add something else on top of your punishment. I'm already angry enough as it is."

"As for you," another arm appeared, bringing Yurah closer to his summoner, "I'll give you something you can be snarky about," he said, stretching his face into an abnormal grin.

"It's really quiet today..."

Park slowly tilted his head to the side, inspecting the final drawing from all angles and once he was satisfied with the end result, he gently closed the book placing it onto the well-stacked, ever-towering height of books.

"... And I'm curious."

He beckoned the topmost book to him, the recently revised piece settling well on top of his desk.

"Let's see what we have here..."

"..."

"!"

"!!"

"Look at this, El..."

He turned around only to find that the same finding had already resonated deeply within Yelenith too. She grabbed the book in disbelief.

"Easy now. He'll tell us how he knows of such, given it's restricted to only one kind of species."

# How? #

"Soon, El, Soon. We're just two small books away."

# Wasn't there only one more person who had such knowledge? #

"And is our worst adversary to date. Even with our restrictions undone, I don't think we could be of any harm," he paused midway to look around the library, continuing shortly after, "and a rude joke still exists."

# ...but besides that, you have to appreciate what he's done in here. I might not even have to use curses anymore, # she flipped another page, # just hammocking in the library, next to my sweet bro... hey, I was reading that! #

"...," he returned it back into the stack, in order with the rest.

# What's your deal with me and my classes?! #

"Nothing."

# No, there isn't "nothing"... #

"Thanks scary lady!"

"Another time."

"Wait for me, Lily!"

Lily...? Wait! This smell...!

She casually walked right in, wagging her less-bony tail every which way. The new and improved version...

"MREEEEEOOOOWWWW!!!!!"

"What the...?!"

He dashed at Lily's distressed call, only to witness quite a new sight.

# LET. ME. GO. THIS INSTANT YELVA! #

"Was that in my mind just now? "

Gionne went on one knee, Lily using it as a foothold to hop onto Gionne's shoulders, she hissed from a safe distance at the poor lady who later on, she would find out that she had a thing with cats.

Yelva had her, held in up space, inches away from the ground where Lily previously stood on. She grunted and struggled against the casing of crimson red energy suspending her mid-air and this was causing a considerable strain on the caster, who in typical sibling passion did the most obvious thing that any sibling would do.

"Fine! Down you go!"

He retrieved his energy from her, and now in her prior pace, his sister went face first onto the cold hard floor crashing in might and messy glory. She twitched involuntarily, her hands and feet jerking in immense pain.

"Is she going to be...?"

"She heals just as fast too. Don't worry too much about her. But apart from this...,"

I've grown to dislike these words...

"... I have some questions for you and your friend over there," he's still writing? , "so please take a seat and my accomplice," he peeled her off the surface like a piece of gum, # D...Damn y...you... # , "and I will be right there with you shortly."

With shoulders hunched over, Gionne went and sat next to the troublemaker. Dejected, he could as well see what Park was writing,

"No says me," the red film said as it barred him from picking any of the books.

Great. Just Great.
