* Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump! *
"He'll know how to fix it right?"
I don't know, it's been one thing and the next with him...
"We just met him yesterday..."
Well, it's a feeling that it's going to be one thing and the next with him.
Gionne along with the rest of the crowd stared on as Park marvelously displayed an art far more refined to that what was written in the book. Beads of sweat sprung into the air from the tip of his nose as he danced about the grass, swinging the chunk of metal. He didn't like the feeling of having to incorporate the techniques of that fiend into his but the feeling of him actually improving was not that bad.
"Khehehe! Incoming!"
Mid performance, two clean strikes landed, right for his nape. Nevertheless, much to the shock of the assailant, he continued.
[The First Law of The ----- Print will now be activated.]
The instructor being keen to all this, remained unmoving, perhaps amazed by the concentration span of the victim or not caring at all given no harm occurred. The apparition bored by the lack of danger retreated within his body.
So, he did nothing. WonderFUL!
Without warning he lift his huge body forward, burning with a desire to clash with the star of the show. Gionne was able to catch sight of the incoming calamity right from his peripheral and with the agility of a cat, got quick on his feet, jumping out of harm's way. Not wasting any time, the first descent fell, and the game began.
Any nearby could-be casualties cleared themselves from the self-made arena keeping a safe distance from the two who were now neck to neck at each other, Park surprisingly holding well throughout the beast's inhumane strikes. His slightly better developed body, already rigorously, being put to the test.
"HAHAHA!! YES! MORE!!"
He heaved his axe back bringing it forth in fury.
"RAAAAGHH!!"
The collision between the two, sent Park hurling back and in quick action, he sunk his blade into the earth trying to reduce the momentum. Crazed and amazed by the unfolding skill level of his competitor before him, he got a little carried away.
"That looks dangerous."
"GET UP!!"
The onlookers stood watch as he soared to the skies, electricity coursing through the blade's edge. He was within reach, and just before the deadly move could strike, Park remembered something, abrupt as being hit by a truck.
"DEFLEEEECTTT!!"
First it was a light, blinding, engulfing the two contenders whole then shortly after an incredible burst of black lightning. It graced most of the field, scorching anything that it came across. Its eyes set on the crowd, it raced towards them, ready to swallow them up but already waiting upon it, the energy shield around them halted its evil intentions right in its tracks.
"I guess I should have stopped it."
[The First Law of The ----- Print will be strongly activated.]
"You fight good for a tiny person."
"Thanks."
"Now I need my axe back."
The figure reached for his weapon's handle ripping the jagged edges of his axe free from Park's stomach.
"OWWWW!!"
"Sorry."
"..."
"Any of you heard about the fight that happened today morning?"
"I heard that he was almost ripped in half."
10:30 AM
"But you gotta have to give it to him for lasting that long against their kind."
Their little morning stunt was on everyone's lips. Varying views from different storytellers only made the battle even more memorable. Their fight could have even possibly been cemented as one for the ages.
"You know, instead of cursing them out in your head you could do it to their faces."
He felt all the pent-up pain that his body accumulated, fade away.
"!"
She was right in their midst. Blending marvelously amongst them, her presence like that of a specter.
"Goodmorning cadavers..."
She struck her cane into the ground with might, the chime from the knocking skulls on her staff, summoning a combination of darkened vines from within the very earth they stood on.
"... I'll be your Elements instructor, Y'ggrah."
I feel a lot more potential with this batch, enough that I might be able to get a fill for my children today.
Though it pains that we're down one person, they will just have to do.
"I hope all of you passed through the white rooms, I don't want another casualty this year."
"What sort of casualty?"
Quite the answer he got, as from the walls of their small confine, a bulb snaked its way through and rest its stalk upon the old lady's shoulder. It opened its maw, revealing a set of laser-thin edged, jagged rows of teeth.
Once more upon the order of the old lady to retreat, the bulb snaked back into the confine's walls, morphing back into the dark vines.
"Also please do follow all the instructions that I may provide today and all will be well."
"Any more questions that you may have?"
"Do any other elements exist apart from maybe the common ones known?"
"Maybe if we are talking about the variants..."
... Which are very much welcomed...
"... Then yes, they do exist. But you'll be able to learn them soon or if you can't wait then we always have a library around."
She commanded the vines to open a hole, showcasing the famous stinger at a distance.
"I feel tired already."
She closed up the hole.
"Everyone please stretch out your hand. You'll receive your manifestations the moment that you wake up, don't know how long that is, old lady here."
Thin green strands hanging from the ceiling, pushed out tiny black seeds from the strand's ends and onto the receiving palms. At the ends of the rooms, right where the walls were, they made way. Eight gaps in total.
"You're free to leave after you're done with the seeds."
A hand shot up.
"Yes?"
An answer that left them wondering if they could ask more.
"What would happen if someone swallowed the seeds, and they have already manifested their power?"
"An upgrade."
Fifteen downed their seeds in an instant.
Ah! a push...!
"And well since I feel a little bit more generous just because of the question that young man asked, I'll let you in on a little secret. Now you'll have to listen closely..."
The gaps sealed.
"... see those seeds, that I painstakingly made? They automatically fill you with a good amount of basics on your abilities without even you discovering them on your own. Kinda cuts down the boring part of learning down a bunch, right?"
50 gulped their seeds.
"This stuff's good then!"
"It is!"
The rest followed suit. It was a success. She could already feel herself linked to all those beautiful, yet to bloom energies. She just had to wait for tomorrow, then she would reap her rewards. Y'ggrah could feel her cold heart throb once more.
"..."
"She got more of them?"
# ...sadly... #
# ... and I also see your expanse has increased. #
"Please get in, you're letting the wind in."
Not even a compliment...
# Fine then, Grumpy. #
