Julius had risen from difficult origins. He is an orphan who barely knew how to speak when he was 10. And he was ten a long time ago, even before World War II.
His rise came after discovering the other races from the magical world. He wasn't aware until he was 15. At the time, the world still had many more magical creatures than it does today. It was even more so in Europe, where Julius was born.
Traveling through countries like running from home to school, Julius rapidly got to know a lot of people. And with time, he realized his own characteristics. Not really aging like humans, his super strength, speed, and high intellect that came easier to him, all that made him different.
After finding some traces of what looked close similar to his own capacities, Julius realized that he was a werewolf, but an ancient and race of werewolves. Even after the wars and experiments that happened in the world to try and bring back mana, Julius realized that his relatives had probably died already, conforming himself with being alone.
So Julius did what he thought was the best, get stronger, smarter, and more powerful.
He made connections, not only with magicals but with humans. He killed, manipulated, and learned everything that he could, and he still is doing it to this day.
Having to cut off his arm was just one of many things he did to survive, and right now he was strong enough to follow his own will and not be at others' mercy.
Julius made his name through the mercenary job. As he had to be constantly on the move, his earlier days were the best as he could hunt magical beings for payment, as he got to loot old beings and get artifacts and knowledge.
A while ago he even learned that although magical energy can't be altered by an exterior force, it could alter itself, meaning that an arm from a different body could be used to attach to his body as he did just that to recover his left arm.
One thing that differs, though, is that not every magical being can do it just because of their magical energy, but races like werewolves that have a higher regeneration than other races could definitely do it. Another different case is the vampires. They are a different breed, as they can regenerate all of their limbs at once if they are at full strength.
Julius, even though he was really messed up right now, found it great as he managed to track Jonathan. One of the locations that he managed to find was right. His goons had indeed found clues about Nicholas's whereabouts. The location was the Gary Table's, which associated with associates of Nicholas. At this point, Julius still doesn't know who the bar belongs to.
That's why he followed the only suspicious thing that he found at the Gary's Table, and that was Jonathan, the bartender and also a vampire.
Unexpectedly, Jonathan went to kill a nobody inside an alley late at night. And even more weird was the means that he used to kill the guy. Why would a vampire kill a human with a gun?
It turned out that at the last moment, Jonathan noticed Julius. Funny, a pool of rainwater was all that took to rend an artifact for concealment useless.
Though Jonathan found him, but in his experience that doesn't mean much. It only makes it better because if Jonathan gets careless and makes a mistake, Julius will be able to gain the fruits of that.
Right now, Julius had to worry about completing the request from the organization that hired him.
'Mr. C has yet to produce 11% of the drugs for the conclusion. Finding out another location for a lab will be just a matter of minutes, though a new place to dispose of the toxins will be necessary as well.' Julius thought as he smirked to himself.
"Events like this won't set me back for long, this isn't close to how I was made. Just keep going, Julius. You will beat them all." Julius spoke out loud to himself as a form of mantra, relaxing his body with closed eyes and enjoying the bath.
