Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : Academy

As Leo approached the woman sitting behind the desk supervising the dormitories, he greeted her with an impassive expression.

"Hello," he said flatly.

"Yes?" she responded, internally questioning, *What's up with this guy? Is he on his broken era?*

Leo handed her the acceptance letter.

"Oh, we need to see your face first to register you," she informed him.

"Okay," Leo replied as he pulled down his mask, causing the woman to blush.

"Eh," she exclaimed unintentionally.

"Yes?" he asked, noticing her reaction.

"Nothing, nothing," she stammered, still flustered.

"So, can I get the key?" he inquired, extending his hand toward her.

"Here you go," she said, her cheeks still flushed.

As Leo made his way to Dormitory C, Floor 4, Room 1, he felt the eyes of several girls on him like he was some kind of trophy, while others whispered excitedly.

"Did he get accepted, too?" a cute girl murmured, wishing aloud, "I hope we're in the same class."

"Me too," another girl replied dreamily.

"Yeah, let's just pray our dreams come true," the bubbly one chimed in.

~~~
As he stepped inside and went to a chair and checked his stats once more.
**Status:**
Name: Leo Victor Raven
Class: Void Swordsman
Strength: D-
Agility: D+
Mana: B-
Affinity: Void, Lightning, Space, Gravity
Blessing: Triple growth speed, ???
"Hmm, if I recall from the novel 'Rise of the Magic Emperor,' the main character only had two affinities, which was already quite rare. Here I am with four," he mused, unimpressed.
"Though I doubt I'll ever really get to show off my Void affinity," he noted while examining that specific trait.
**Affinity:** Void - The Origin of Void (EX)
"I think this is stronger than what's normal here," he remarked as he checked his other affinities.
**Affinity:**
Space - Lord of Space (SSS+)
Lightning - Lord of Lightning (SSS+)
Gravity - Lord of Gravity (SSS+)
"Well, this seems decent enough," he concluded, unaware that his affinities matched the level of primordial elemental powers.
Reaching for his phone, he noticed a notification:
*Affinity Test and Talent Limit*
Tomorrow
"Guess tomorrow is the day for the affinity test," he said, placing the phone down and heading to the bathroom.
After his shower, he ordered food, as all students were entitled to unlimited meals before classes began, with points required once the semester officially started.
Once the food arrived, he inhaled the aroma, but to his dismay, he lacked taste buds and couldn't enjoy the flavor.
"I'm used to it anyway," he said, finishing his meal despite the disappointment.
~~~

Following that, he settled into his bed.

"It feels like ages since I've had a good sleep," he remarked, a brief flicker of sadness crossing his face before fading away.

And with that, he drifted off, enjoying a much-needed restful night.

~~~
After waking up, Leo checked the time on his phone.
*10:47*
"The affinity test starts at 1:00," he remarked as he headed to the bathroom for a shower.
Once he was finished, he looked in the cabinet for his clothes.
"Hmm, it seems everyone was given their uniforms even before the semester begins," he noted, eyeing the five academy uniforms.
"Too bad for those who lack affinity; they'll have to leave," he said, sounding indifferent.
After picking out his clothes and changing, he ordered some food.
When the food arrived, he ate without displaying any emotion at all.
Once he was done, he stepped outside; it was already
*12:40*.
He made his way to the affinity area, which also happened to be the largest training ground. It was grand, nearly the size of a castle, able to accommodate around a thousand students, though there were only about 900 enrolled, with the requirement of being 15 to 16 years old to enter.
As he surveyed the impressive training ground, other students around him were expressing their excitement, while Leo walked in with an expressionless demeanor.
But those nearby were buzzing about him.
"Wow, that guy is really handsome," a girl said.
"Yeah, totally," a guy replied, attempting to sound nonchalant but hiding his envy.
"Are you jealous?" the girl teased.
"No way," the guy replied, clearly denying it.
"Hehe."
~~~

Upon entering, the professor in charge called out,

"Alright, line up as we call your names!"

The students quickly formed ten different lines.
