Chapter 1 - Transmigration.

The night air was thick with tension, the grumbling sound of lightning bolt struck while the rain drizzled as Lewis sprinted with his heart pounding in his chest.

His stunning physique, honed from years of hard work and discipline, had always been his pride, but now it felt like a burden as he raced up the hill, adrenaline lacing his movements with urgency.

Behind him, the silhouettes of six men encased in black loomed ominously, their breaths like hounds on his heels.

"Stop... stop..." they called, their voices mingled with the whispers of the wind. But it only fueled Lewis' panic.

He couldn't stop. The memory of their cold, determined eyes propelled him forward. He couldn't afford to falter now.

As he neared the summit, exhaustion clawed at him. His lungs burned fiercely, each breath a reminder of how close they were.

He could hear their footsteps that echoed through the trees like the chimes of doom. Lewis reached the top, only to find himself face to face with a dead end, a sheer cliff, overlooking a vast abyss.

Gosh!

He extended his arms, glancing down into the pit below. The fog swirled like a living thing, seemingly beckoning him into its depths.

"What a pity." He muttered. "This is how I'm going to die?"

A shiver racing down his spine as he rubbed the small, worn puppy nestled against his arm. A birthday gift from his late parents, always a symbol of hope and courage that he clung to in this dark moment as he remembers his parents.

Only pondering about it makes him fearless amidst any tough challenge.

In that seemingly hopeless moment, an unusual glimmer caught his eye. Just beyond the edge of the cliff, nestled among the thick roots of ancient tree, lay a shimmering stone, pulsating softly with a light that seemed to breathe. It drew his attention.

" OMG! This looks beautiful!" He paused then slyly smiled. " I know am dying today, but, it's not a crime if l will go with this stone ."

The ground trembled ominously as his pursuers caught up, their taunting shrieks sending chills through the still night.

"You can't escape, Lewis! Your the only eyewitness, and l can't afford to leave any evidence behind."

An old man yelled, stepping into the clearing, his eyes glinting with malice.

"I know who you are, but l promise l didn't see anything. Not even your six men. How can l be a witness when l didn't see anything?"

Lewis mischievous yelled.

He glanced back at the glowing stone, a surge of determination rose within him. If he took that leap of faith and reached for something beyond his grasp, would he truly find the strength he needed?

Lewis quickly grabbed the stone and held it tight in his hands

"Mr Williams Garcia, right? Even in my next life, l will remember you and l will hunt and kill anyone from the Garcia family for your treacherous act. That is my promise to your bloodline."

He knew whether he falls off the cliff or remain on top of the hill, one thing was inevitable, his death.

With no time left to consider the enormity of what he was about to do, Lewis sprinted toward the edge, the world around him fading into a blur. He leapeda wild plunge into the unknown on the fog, with the stone glowing in his hands

As he fell, time stretched and twisted. The mist enveloped him, transforming his fear into a wave of exhilaration. And then, within the fog, he felt a shift.

The stone reacted to his touch just as his fingers brushed its surface a pulsing warmth coursed through him, filling him with forgotten energy and possibilities as it's glow grew bigger and scintillated like the moon light.

Suddenly, the ground beneath him transformed. Instead of tumbling to his doom, Lewis found himself at the bottom of a dank drainage, his body weak and wounded.

The fog shimmered and swirled, forming a barrier that grew thick and opaque behind him. The hilltop and his pursuers vanished from view.

"Am alive?"

He could hardly remember how he had ended up there. With great effort, he pulled himself up, his hands slick with mud and grime.

Lewis felt different. The world around him was vibrant and alive, filled with sounds of horning cars, ethereal light, sensing the change in Lewis

"Assh! My body hurts." He said inwardly.

Every muscle in his limbs protested as he staggered to his feet, cold biting into him like a swarm of angry insects. He shivered uncontrollably, trying to shake off the icy grip that had taken hold of him.

He hooked his thin lips and raised his head up, the fog was replaced by the dark clouds of the night.

"Huh? Where are my? What the f*ck is this place?" he murmured, looking around in wonder.
