Ayden opened the car door for her and she sat down immediately.
"Don't try to call the police, dear. Nothing will happen if you try that. I'll definitely come to you. And if you try to do something funny, I will just call my man from the city of white flowers." Hearing his last line, Eve's face turned glum. Her hometown is also called the city of white flowers.
'He knows about mom dad. Oh no! What should I do?' She looked at him with a frightened face.
"I know that my girl is the most intelligent girl." He added.
"Please don't do anything to my parents. I will not tell the police. I will not tell anyone about this. Please Ayden." She pleaded.
'She knows my name. Oh, it sounds ineffable from her mouth. How good will it sound with her under me?' The thought made his pants tighten but he controlled himself.
"I'm not concerned about the police. Don't even think about running from me. Okay?" He said.
"Yes." She replied hesitatingly.
"Okay then. Until we meet again, bye. Think of me." He said, closing the car's door.
The man, Zach, remained completely silent during the ride. Eve thought of something and started crying out loud making him more confused.
He knew the woman beside him was an important person for their boss. He couldn't afford to offend her. He remained silent for some time thinking that she would stop crying but she didn't.
"What happened?" He asked.
"H...he is...a... dangerous man." She cried out loud. Her breathing became fast and she put her hand on her chest while breathing from her mouth.
Zach became nervous seeing her like that. If something happened to her, he was dead for sure.
"You need something. Tell me. I'll take you to the hospital." He asked.
"W...water." She said, still breathing from her mouth.
"Okay, just wait for me. I'll go and buy water." He stopped the car and walked out towards the shop nearby.
Once he left, Eve took the tracking device from her dress and installed it under her seat. Even after what happened to her, she couldn't forget the task she had to do.
Zach arrived with a bottle of water and gave it to Eve who started acting again. She drank the full bottle of water in one go and then felt relieved.
"You're okay?" He asked.
"Yes." She answered. Now, she just didn't want to say anything. She has talked enough, listened enough, and has tolerated enough.
Zach reached her house and opened the car's door for her thinking about her previous condition in the car. She walked out of the car with a blank face. A sense of desolation replaced all the glow on her face.
Zach left. He will not come again to check on her. His boss called him telling this when he was in the car, even Eve heard it. Ayden knows she will not do anything stupid when her family was involved. But what he didn't know was that she was already involved with the police.
She can't trust Ayden this easily, so she walked towards the park near her house and then after seeing Phoebe at some distance, met her as if she met her by surprise.
Phoebe hugged her gently and caressed her back. She felt so bad for what she has gone through. She was just a normal 19-year-old girl dragged into something so dangerous.
"You okay, Eve?" She asked while walking towards the car.
Eve didn't reply and sat in the car silently with her head down. She was so embarrassed and scared and needed some time to gather her thoughts.
"You're a strong girl." Phoebe said, stroking her hair.
They reached the secret office which is for everyone, Phoebe's house. She entered the office and everyone stood up applauding her. Before her, some other people were also appointed, but none of them got even a little close to what she did.
She raised her head and looked at everyone with sad eyes. Only Charles, Stefan and Phoebe were the ones with the access to hearing what was going with her. The other people have different jobs, so they didn't know what actually happened to her.
Tears welled up in her eyes but she looked down again to not let others see her crying and then ran towards her room leaving everyone in a daze.
She opened the door of her room and locked it. Then, she cried her heart out. She got up, entering the washroom. She took a shower thinking of removing his touch from her body. She rubbed her whole body vigorously with water, making her whole body red with scratches all over.
Phoebe entered her room with a spare key when she didn't come out. Hearing her cries, she knocked on her washroom door.
"Eve, please come out. We will talk. Okay? Come out, please."
She didn't reply and Phoebe kept on saying calming words to her. After 20 minutes, Phoebe heard her muffled voice from the washroom.
"Can you please get me some clothes? I'm all wet." Eve asked from the washroom.
"Sure. I'll come in a second."
Relief washed over Phoebe when she heard Eve's voice. Although her voice sounded as if she had a cold.
'She has cried a lot and that too being wet for so long, she can get sick' The thought made her worried.
She got her clothes she used here while practising and gave them to her. Eve changed her clothes and came out. Phoebe hugged her again and took her to the chief's office.
Charles and Stefan got up from their respective seats to see her. She indeed did a great job. Even after getting molested by Ayden, she didn't forget why she was there and carried out the plan perfectly.
"Are you alright, Evelyn?" Stefan came closer to her and she flinched. He took some steps back from her, understanding she was still in trauma.
Her red eyes showed how much she cried.
"Did they do all this to you? Why is your body so red?" Phoebe asked, holding her hand noticing the scratches and the dark brown marks.
"Why didn't you ask us to come and help you?" Charles said without looking at her. He was guilty of whatever happened to her.
Before the plan, Eve was told that if she felt that something was wrong with the whole plan, she could just say, 'I can't take this anymore' and they will come to rescue her. But she never said anything.
They still remember how they felt when she refused him but he still didn't stop.
When Ayden forcefully kissed her, Stefan told Charles to abort the mission. But Charles expected Eve to say that by herself.
After that for some time, when Eve went silent, they only guessed what was happening there and were not clear about it.
Phoebe never felt so scared in her lifetime. It was guilt, the three of them felt for pushing a little girl into this.
"Eve, say something please." Phoebe said again.
After a long time, Eve said, "The Moon will shine in the eleventh hour." She said in a distressed tone.
They looked at the little girl standing in front of her in confusion. Three of them glanced at each other, not getting what she meant.
"What does it mean? Stefan asked her.
"The line I read in his notebook." She said plainly.
Stefan looked at her with a shocked face; he didn't expect her to be this good, but she has surpassed everyone.
"Thanks, Evelyn. You've done a great job!" Stefan encouraged her while she still looked at the table in front of her with emotionless eyes.
"Can I go now?" She asked.
"Oh yes, sure. Go." Charles said.
Eve left the three of them and walked towards the lift. The whole of the office stared at her, guessing about what would've happened to her.
She came to the house and found a sleeping Christine on the bed. She held back her tears and lied down on the bed, hugging Chrissy.
Only her best friend can help her in a situation like this. Even though she can't tell her about her situation, she knows Chrissy is always there for her. Chrissy stirred in her sleep and opened her eyes.
"When do you come back?" She asked in her sleepy voice.
"Just now." Eve replied, trying to hide the uneasiness within her.
"Do you catch a cold? I told you to come back early, but you just don't listen to me anymore." Chrissy put her hand on her forehead to check for fever.
"I'm fine and very sleepy. Let's sleep." She said in a low tone.
"You cried Eve. What happened? You are hiding something from me. I didn't ask you last time thinking you will tell me eventually but you didn't. Tell me what it is, why did you cry?" She asked Eve. How could she even think of hiding from her best friend?
But she can't tell her anything. Eve knew once Chrissy found everything, she would do everything to protect her without thinking about her safety and she didn't want this.
She and Chrissy share the same birth date making them birthday twins. Their moms are friends too and lived in the same place. She and Christine had always been together since birth. It was 19 years of togetherness. Their bond is greater than real sisters. They can confide everything in each other. This time it was just not possible.
"It's nothing, Chrissy. Sleep." Eve said.
"You look tired. I'll spare you today but tomorrow, you will tell me everything." She declared.
"Hmm"
She distracted herself from everything horrendous she experienced today and slept while hugging Chrissy.
