After walking for some distance, she finally sees a house and it's the biggest house she has ever seen. The architecture as well as the design of the house adds a vintage vibe to it. Eve keeps looking at it, not in fascination but in dejection to how beautiful her cage is.
Bryan knocks at the door and a woman in her mid-40s shows up in front of the door. Bryan hugs her and she hugs him back. Eve keeps looking down and doesn't know what else to do.
"Mom, why do you come? Where are the maids?" Ayden asks her while she keeps staring at eve.
"I couldn't hold myself any longer. My sons came home after so long." she replied and Ayden walked towards her. She looks so small in front of her sons, yet an elegant lady. Ayden hugs her and spreads his hand towards Eve as a gesture to come there.
Eve after understanding walks towards him hesitatingly. Ayden holds her hand and introduces her to his mom. His mom looks at Eve with admiration-filled eyes. She caresses her head and hugs her gently.
"Welcome to the family, Eve. And yes, you've got a really pretty name."
"That's true." Ayden said. Then, they all entered the house.
Walking inside, Eve saw a man in his late 50s sitting on the sofa. He doesn't get up from his seat. Ayden and Bryan both went towards him and he patted their shoulders.
"This is my dad." Ayden said to Eve. His dad, Mr. William Knight has a dangerous aura around her.
"Let her speak too, son. What's your name?" his dad asked, looking at Eve with suspicious eyes. Never in his life an outsider came to his house. It was natural for him to be suspicious.
After hearing his voice, Eve became nervous. She guessed him to be the leader of their group. Although the man is in his late 50s, he is very fit. But now, she has to introduce herself. She took two steps forward.
"Evelyn Jones, sir." She tried to sound as calm as possible. His dad just smiled and walked towards another room.
Ayden smiled gazing at her non-stop. He walked towards her and after grabbing her hand, moved towards the dining table. All of them sound cheerful in order to make Eve feel less nervous.
Ayden's mom, Anne, is a very nice lady. From the moment she saw Eve, she felt the sadness within her. Ayden already told her about Eve, but she knows her son. Once he sets his eyes on something, he is only relieved once he gets it.
Anne sensed her state. She tried to make Eve comfortable by talking to her but she was more than just sad.
"Come Eve. I'll take you to your room." Anne said after seeing how tired she looked.
She looked at Ayden as his eyes were continuously on her.
"You can go with her. She is my mom and so is yours too," he replied with a smile on his face. Eve felt weird after hearing his response.
Anne showed her the room and asked her to rest. Eve feels nice with her. After everything, she never thought she would see someone as nice as Anne. She was very nice towards her, caring for her all the time.
No one disturbed her after that. She slept for a long time.
"Hey, wake up." a voice made her sit on the bed. A girl nearly of her age was sitting on the bed. She looked at her while rubbing her eyes, realising it was morning and she slept for more than 10 hours.
"Who are you?" Eve asked, still not fully awake.
"I'm Bryan's wife, Freya. Get up fast now!" she almost shouted at eve. She looked irritated the whole time.
"Freya, you're scaring her." Suddenly, Anne came to the room. After seeing her, Freya looks down.
"Sorry Eve, if I frighten you. You see, I'm pregnant and sometimes I become a little irritated." Freya said.
"No problem," Eve replied. Someone called Anne and she left.
"Get dressed up now. I'll help you." Freya said, this time with a smile on her face.
"Why do I have to dress up? Are we going somewhere?" Eve asked.
Freya looked at her with disbelief.
"I can't tell you that. You get dressed up, please." Eve doesn't want to do anything or go anywhere. But now that she has no choice, all she can do is to follow what others want and mainly what Ayden wants.
She showers and then wears the dress which Freya gives her without my question. It was a very simple white coloured dress with only an embroidered belt filled with jewels in between. She wore it without thinking why and then Freya helped her with the makeup. There were more important questions in her mind that time rather than thinking why she was told to put that dress on.
She also remembered she had to call the NSF today. After she was dressed up, Freya excused herself and went downstairs for something.
Eve immediately ran towards the bathroom with the mirror and pressed it to start the call. She told them about everything she saw from the start. But then she got the shock after she heard from Stefan.
"Don't panic. But we've lost your current location. The GPS tracker on you has been disconnected. It means they have a very efficient security system."
"Then what will happen now?" She asked.
"Don't worry. This mirror works. Hence, we can still find out about your location. But you've to get this information on your own. Anything else?" Stefan replied.
"How's Chrissy?"
"She is fine. Phoebe talks to her with the help of the voice changer we told you. The tips you gave Phoebe about Christine seem to be helping. The situation is under control." His reply made Eve a little less worried. She knows Chrissy isn't someone who can be easily persuaded. She only believed in this lie because the lie was very big. Not even the teachers but the college was involved. She even talked to the Acreshire's faculty on her own.
"Okay." And the 5 minutes finished.
She misses Chrissy too much. With a place full of strangers and indeed some of the most dangerous strangers in the world, she can only have hope to get out of it someday.
After some time, Freya appeared again and took her downstairs. She then took her to the backside of the house and what she saw made her jaw drop.
The whole place was beautifully decorated with white flowers and other embellishments. She even saw Ayden dressed up in a black tuxedo looking surreal. She was a little far away from him, so he couldn't see her. Everyone from his family was there, fully dressed up. Some of their men were also there. She remembered them because she saw them the first time she met him.
Clearly, he is about to marry her. He didn't even ask or tell her anything. This wasn't what she expected. Well, she didn't expect anything, but marrying a criminal is the least she wants.
'No! This is too much. Why does he want to marry me now!! I will run away. I will not marry that person!!'
She thought about this and turned back only to be disappointed by seeing the number of guards standing there. Freya came and helped her with the veil.
"Get up. It's time." Freya said and Eve just sat there without saying anything. After seeing her stubbornness, Freya became angry.
"Don't make a scene here. Get up. I feel like I'm a babysitter assigned to you." Freya became irritated and seeing her, Eve finally gave up. She knows even if she protests, nothing's going to happen.
She walks towards Ayden who is smiling at the most beautiful girl in front of him. He continuously stared at her and when she reached the stage directed his hand towards her.
Eve was so angry that he ignored him and climbed the stage on her own, looking at Ayden furiously. Ayden looks at her with an amused look.
'She looks so cute when she is angry!' He moved towards Eve and this time Eve didn't move back. Instead, she came a little closer to him, making him surprised.
"Why are you doing this?" She whispered in his ear.
"This is what I wanted from the day I saw you." He whispered back.
"How could you do that? I'm not going to marry you!" She said in a high tone but not high enough to be heard by others.
"I don't think you have a choice." He completed it with a smile.
"The deal was that I would come with you, not that you will marry me without my consent. This isn't fair!" She argued.
"You can say no… only if you want to see Christine here, dead." After saying the final word, he cleared his throat.
What else can she say now? This is what her soon to be husband does all the time. He knows how to make her speechless. From their first meeting until now, there was never a moment when he agreed to her. She should just let fate decide her future. She already had no hopes left so she decided to go with the flow.
After the I do's, she felt as if everything around her was rotating. She felt dizzy but she held herself together.
Everyone congratulated them and blessed them for a happy married life. Eve was so frustrated but decided not to say anything at all. After all, she has to be the most naive girl the Knight family has ever seen.
"You look so beautiful, Eve." Anne said.
"Thanks mam." Eve replied after staying quiet for a long time.
"Leave the formalities. You can call me mom just like Ayden, I would love that." Anne said with a sense of excitement in her voice.
Eve looked down in confusion. She was confused because Anne was always so nice to her.
'Why is this lady so nice to me? Aren't all these people bad?'
"Okay….mom." Eve said in hesitation while Anne hugged her.
A party was arranged in their house in order to celebrate the wedding of Ayden Knight, the elder son of the family. So many people gathered there.
The party ended late at night. Eve was stuck to Ayden's side and he wasn't letting her go. She felt very tired but had no other option with her.
After some time, when the guests started leaving, Ayden held her hand and walked towards the stairs.
Eve remembered the time when he kidnapped her and took her upstairs like this. The thought made her a little nervous.
In the middle of the staircase, he abruptly stopped. Eve was so tired after all the drama she went into and now he was doing this.
She was about to shout at him when Ayden pulled her towards himself and after a second, she was in his arms. He picked her in his arms.
"Hey! Put me.down. I can walk on my own. I said, put me down!!" She said, hitting him on his chest continuously with her little hands which had obviously no effect on her husband.
"You even shout. That's something new." He laughed at her.
He stopped in front of a room. Eve realised it wasn't the same room where she was before.
"Where are you taking me? Put me down!" She shouted this time.
"Welcome to my room, actually our room. This is the room where we will stay from now on." He said, with Eve still in his arms.
Listening to him, Eve became even more frustrated. The room was much more spacious than the previous one. All the rooms here are so grand. A thought came to Eve's mind making her nervous.
He gently placed her on the bed, breaking her thoughts. She got up from the bed immediately and started walking towards the door. On the other hand, Ayden just stood there silently, gazing at Eve with a mysterious smile on his face. She reached for the doorknob and turned it in order to open it, but it didn't open.
"Why isn't it opening?" she murmured to herself.
"Don't exhaust yourself, baby. The door is locked." a voice came from her back side and she felt goosebumps on her arms.
"Open the door. I don't want to be with you." she froze in front of the door. The thoughts about what was going to happen with her made her stagger. She just couldn't afford to live with this man in the same room. That's so dangerous.
"You're my wife now. Come on, don't be so shy." With this, he walked towards her and pulled her towards himself once again. Eve tried to push him but her efforts were in vain.
His arms slipped around her waist, drawing her closer. Leaning down, he gently kissed her forehead while his hands moved a little down to her hips. Eve on the other hand, wriggled in his arms trying to set herself free. His touch was making her feel annoyed.
After some time, when his grip loosened a bit, she freed herself and ran towards the other direction. But where else to run? She is all alone in a room with a stranger who claims to be her husband. No one can save her but still she can't lose hope.
With a smile on his face, Ayden moved towards the bed and looked at a trembling Eve standing in front of his eyes. He has waited for a long time to see her like this and today he just can't stop. No matter what, he will make her his.
"Take off your clothes."
