Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1 FIRST SPARKS

"Eve, where are you?" A desperate voice echoed in the room.

A beautiful girl with mesmerising brown eyes and glossy skin came out from the bathroom. Her moist hair, midnight-black in colour, swirling shamelessly on her hips, made her look like a goddess.

"What happened, Christina? Please don't tell me you broke up with Trevor again." Eve, as the girl referred, said with a sigh.

"This time, it's serious. I will not talk to him ever again. All men are the same. He is a complete jerk. I hate him. I saw him with Nina again!"

"You said this the last time too. Chrissy, this is the fourth time in this month that you've broken up with him. And Nina is just his project partner, you told me last time." Eve said, rolling her eyes.

"Even my best friend is on his side!"

Christine started crying which made Eve soft. Even though she hated the fact that she kept on breaking up and then patching up with her all-time boyfriend, Trevor, still she can't see her cry.

Christine and Evelyn are childhood best friends. They were inseparable from each other and people thought of them as sisters. The bond they share is much more than sisters.

"Hey Chrissy, don't cry. Okay, he is a jerk. I'm always on your side. Now, stop crying. You look like a raccoon." Eve said while hugging her.

"And yes, we are getting late for college. Come on now, fast!"

Christine jumped up and directly went to the bathroom to dress up. They both live in a shared house whose owner is a friend of Christine's dad. They study in a college far away from their home.

Their native place is a small town and does not have good colleges for higher education. Chrissy and Eve got admission to this college because of their high scores.

Both of them walked towards their college which was within walking distance from their house. Eve kept on uplifting her bestie's mood and succeeded.

"Eve, it's the same car!" Christine almost shouted in anxiety while pointing towards the car.

Eve looked up at it and started taking big strides holding Christine's hand.

"We should do something. This car has been following us for 2 weeks." Chrissy said.

"We just reached college. Let's go." Eve said, completely ignoring her point.

A black car has been following them for the past 2 weeks. At first, they didn't pay attention to it but after some time, they saw the car multiple times. The car showed up whenever they go to the college and when they leave.

They never saw who was inside the car because the windows were black too. But they guessed the person to be a man. Why is he following them or the main question is who is he following?

Eve decided that if she sees that black car again, she will report it to the police.

After they left the college, Eve looked for the car. No car was there, hence she felt relieved.

"I'm hungry. Let's eat something." Eve said after looking at Christine who was still sad. She was confident about the fact that she and Trevor will be back again. But up till then, she can't see her friend like this.

She took her to their favourite eating place and ordered her favourite food.

"Chrissy, don't be sad." Chrissy nodded.

"Do you mind if we join you? Actually, all the seats here are taken." A hoarse voice interrupted them and they looked at the man who was standing in front of him.

Chrissy gulped while seeing him. A tall man with a great physique was asking them something. His hazel green-colored eyes and long eyelashes can drive anyone mad. He looked like a film star.

Evelyn was also mesmerised by him but didn't want him to join them as he was a stranger and according to the Rule no. 1 by mom: Don't talk to strangers…. especially when they're handsome!

She was about to say something when Chrissy jumped, "Oh please you can sit. We don't mind anything." She said, her cheeks turning red.

Eve mentally slapped her forehead by looking at her insane friend. Handsome men are and will always be Christine's no. 1 weakness. She can imagine her best friend having a crush on this guy.

"Thank you so much." He said while calling another man and then they both settled. The other man looked a lot like him but a little shorter than him.

The way he talked, Eve thought as if she had heard him before. She thought hard but couldn't remember.

Eve stared at her fool friend with big eyes. How can she allow any stranger to sit with them and that too when she was so heartbroken a moment ago.

On the other hand, Christine forgot everything around her and was busy staring at the handsome men. Eve was completely silent while Chrissy was talking with them as if she had known them for a long time.

"Your friend doesn't speak much." The tall man said to Chrissy while looking at Eve.

"She must be shy," Chrissy replied while Eve gazed at her.

"Oh… this is the reason. Let's introduce ourselves," He said again.

"Oh yes, why not!" Chrissy replied while Eve was still uncomfortable with them.

"Hi..". He said particularly staring at Eve and then continued, "My name is Ayden, and yours?"

"I'm Evelyn." That's all. She said with hesitation. She was so angry with her best friend but didn't say anything. She will deal with her after reaching home.

"That's a pretty name." Ayden said.

"But we call her Eve and I'm Christine."

The other man introduced himself as Ayden's younger brother, Bryan. He looked far more serious than Ayden.

Eve was suspicious of them. She didn't want to talk to them but just because of Christine, she had to tolerate them.

After eating and talking for a bit, Eve decided to go and signalled Chrissy who had fallen head over heels with these two handsome brothers.

"Bye Ayden, bye Bryan. It was nice meeting you." Christine said chirpily.

"Well, the feeling is mutual." Ayden replied and smiled. This was the first time Eve found him attractive. He is dangerously handsome but with a smile, he can surely kill.

Ayden was still looking at Eve with a mysterious smile which Chrissy noticed. She then left with Eve.

After reaching their house, Eve started yelling at her.

"Chrissy, you're too much. You were talking with them as if they were your relatives. They were strangers."

"Don't ruin my mood again. I was already so stressed out because of that jerk, Trevor. Ayden and Bryan helped me." She said with an idiotic grin plastered on her face.

"You.."

"They are so handsome. How can we, the normal people, see such exotic men? It is indeed a lucky day for us. They were like film stars even more handsome than them. Oh god, I want them!!" Chrissy joined her hands as if praying. Eve looked at her with a 'she's a gone case' look.

"Well, I like Ayden more but...he likes you. Bryan is handsome too. When will I see them again?" Chrissy said, making a sad face.

"Who said that?" Eve inquired.

"The way he was looking at you, actually staring at you was enough to tell that. He was looking at you like a maniac. For sure, he likes you."

"Shut up, and sleep. You need it."

Eve also thought about Ayden. He is handsome but she has nothing to do with him. She wanted no distractions like relationships for her.
