Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: The First Cardinal Conflict— Part 1

3rd Person POV

Location: Star Realm

In the vast expanse of infinite space, a colosseum stood as a grand monument, towering against the nothingness that surrounded it. Within its mighty walls stood eight figures, but the focus was on the seven Primordial Angels, the first creations of the Creator, Veldanava. Veldanava himself sat upon a grand throne, positioned in the window of the colosseum, his eyes gleaming with mischief and anticipation as he observed the unfolding battle.

Four of the seven Primordial Angels hovered above the colosseum, their celestial forms glowing with power as they wove an impenetrable barrier around the area. Veldanava assisted in this feat, providing his own energy to bolster their efforts. The scene was set for a battle like no other—a battle between the Angels, and this time, there would be no mercy.

In the center of the colosseum, two angels faced off against one blond figure. Feldway, standing tall, exuded calmness despite the two powerful adversaries before him. Dino and Obera, his opponents, were deadly serious, their eyes locked onto Feldway with unyielding focus. The tension in the air was palpable.

Without warning, Dino and Obera launched an attack, their bodies glowing with divine energy as they unleashed a powerful light beam toward Feldway.

"EXTINCTION RAY!!!" they shouted in unison.

The floor beneath them shattered as the beam hurtled toward Feldway. Without hesitation, Feldway raised his hand, gathering a surge of energy. In response, a blue beam of fire, infused with golden holy particles, surged forth from his palm.

"Combined spell— Holystic Fire Magic: ATASH!!" Feldway declared, his voice filled with unwavering confidence.

The two beams collided with an earth-shattering force, sending shockwaves throughout the colosseum. The ground trembled as the energy surged through the air, illuminating the surroundings with blinding light. Feldway stood firm, his body surrounded by a shimmering barrier, untouched by the destruction.

A few moments passed before the dust began to settle. As the smoke cleared, two angelic figures stood before Feldway, their swords drawn, ready for the next phase of the battle. Dino and Obera had entered their true forms, having invoked their Ultimate Skills. Their presence was overwhelming, radiating power and authority.

"Wait! You're the guy named Dino?" Feldway asked, his voice tinged with confusion as he looked at the angel before him.

Dino, appearing unfazed, merely cocked an eyebrow. "What?"

Feldway's eyes narrowed as he studied the powerful angel. "Why do you feel so much stronger than you should be? Your power should be amplified only a few times after entering your true form through Apotheosis, but yours feels like it's amplified tenfold. What does that mean?!"

Dino sighed, clearly annoyed. "Sigh… I just use my Ultimate Skill: Astarte, granted to me by Lord Veldanava."

Feldway's expression darkened. His eyes widened in disbelief as he glanced toward the throne where Veldanava was seated. "WHAT?!"

Obera, standing beside Dino, was quick to intervene. "Stop revealing your secrets, Dino!" she shouted, her tone sharp and commanding. "Arm yourself!"

Dino rolled his eyes and drew two legendary swords from their sheaths—Excalibur and Caliburn. "Alright, ma'am," he said, giving Obera a resigned look. "At first, I intended to continue this battle longer to punish you, Feldway, but there's no need for that anymore."

In a flash, Dino charged toward Feldway, swinging his swords in a vertical arc.

"Hypnotic Disaster!" Dino cried as the attack landed.

The blast hit Feldway squarely, causing him to stumble backward. As he fell, he felt something beneath his feet—a magical trap. He glanced down and saw it—a trap that began to disintegrate his leg. Pain shot through his body, but Feldway quickly regenerated, his leg reforming in an instant. He gritted his teeth and summoned a sword of light, using it to block Obera's strike.

Obera, with her long sword Mordred, dashed forward, aiming to strike Feldway across his waist. But Feldway, now holding his ground, stopped the sword with a palm and pushed her back with an unexpected force.

"So, this is one of your traps," Feldway said, a small smirk forming on his lips.

Obera growled in response. "What did you expect? Our goal is to make you suffer, Feldway. You insolent fool, speaking so carelessly toward Lord Veldanava."

"It was just a mistake," Feldway replied, a hint of defensiveness in his tone. "I wasn't myself when I said that."

Dino yawned, clearly uninterested. "Doesn't matter," he muttered, his focus shifting back to the battle.
