Ji-hoon stood frozen in his living room.
The air felt electric.
Behind him—
a presence.
He turned.
And faced himself.
Same face.
Same build.
Same clothes.
But not the same eyes.
The man's pupils were deeper,
like black wells.
And his lips—
slightly curled into a smile
that did not belong to Ji-hoon.
He couldn't breathe.
"Who... are you?"
The voice cracked from his throat.
The other him tilted his head,
like he didn't understand the question.
Then—
a voice echoed in Ji-hoon's mind.
"I am you."
The lips hadn't moved.
But the voice was real.
Ji-hoon staggered backward.
His back hit the wall—
and the phone rang.
Ring ring ring—
He looked away.
When he looked back—
The figure was gone.
Vanished.
Ji-hoon grabbed his phone with trembling hands.
Caller ID: Eun-young
"H-Hello?"
"Ji-hoon, are you okay? I just left your place, but I got this weird feeling."
Ji-hoon was silent.
How could he explain what just happened?
"You were acting strange today," she continued.
"Even yesterday—your face, your words… Something's off."
Ji-hoon swallowed. Then asked,
"Do you remember what the team leader said yesterday? Before I agreed to revise the materials?"
"What? The team leader didn't say anything. You brought it up first."
"No. He brought it up. I remember."
"No, Ji-hoon. You were the one who said it. The team leader was surprised, remember?"
Ji-hoon's mind pulsed with pain.
A flash—
The conference room.
He stands up.
"The materials are insufficient. We must revise everything."
His team leader's face—
shocked. Confused.
His own voice again:
"I have to do it again."
