10:14 PM.
Kang Ji-hoon stood frozen by the window.
Outside, under the streetlight—
was himself.
Same face.
Same height.
Same coat.
But the smile…
was all wrong.
Crooked.
Cold.
Not his.
He stumbled backward.
Crash.
His elbow knocked over a glass.
Water spread across the floor.
The napkin soaked through.
Ink bled.
"You were here yesterday."
"You are already too late."
"Go back."
"Find it."
Find what?
His hand trembled as he picked it up.
The words were smudging fast.
He rushed to the window again.
The sidewalk was empty.
No one there.
No… version of him.
Had he imagined it?
No.
He knew what he saw.
He turned on his phone.
Gallery app.
His pulse stopped.
A new folder.
Feb 23 - AUTO BACKUP
Dozens of photos.
Yesterday's date.
Ji-hoon tapped.
Office photos.
Conference table.
PowerPoint slides.
Documents.
What the hell…
He hadn't been at the office yesterday.
He remembered being home.
Then he saw it.
A mirror selfie.
His own face.
But the eyes were wrong.
Blank.
Lifeless.
Smiling.
That same smile.
Timestamp: 4:17 PM.
Yesterday.
Ji-hoon dropped his phone.
His legs gave out.
