"Running away? That was quite decisive." Yuta deactivated his ninjutsu, glancing at the two monsters with broken masks on the ground, and muttered.
"Yuta-sensei, did that weirdo really fight the First Hokage?" Toko asked, curious about the encounter.
Uchiha Makoto remained indifferent. Judging from the fight, the man was no match for Yuta, let alone the First Hokage.
…
"That's the situation." Yuta reported the mission to the Third Hokage, including the encounter with Kakuzu.
"Kakuzu? I didn't expect him to still be alive and a rogue ninja." The Third Hokage was surprised. Kakuzu was a renowned ninja, and he didn't expect him to be in such a state.
He looked up at Yuta. "Alright, I understand. Thank you for your work."
Seeing the Third Hokage dismissing him, Yuta said, "Third Hokage-sama, I have a personal request."
The Third Hokage paused, surprised. Yuta rarely asked for favors. He looked at Yuta curiously.
"Um… Kiko is pregnant with twins. With the other three, our house is too small. Can you help me find land to build a bigger house?"
Buying land in Konoha required the Third Hokage's approval. With Kiko six months pregnant, Yuta wanted to build a house quickly.
Hearing this, the Third Hokage felt envious. He had been married for nearly ten years without children. Yuta, on the other hand, had five.
"You don't know?" he asked.
Yuta, confused, asked, "Know what?"
The Third Hokage lit his pipe. "For land, go to Tsunade. The Senju clan owns the most land in Konoha. Discuss it with her, then register with Koharu."
Yuta realized he had forgotten about the Senju clan, Konoha's largest landowners.
As one of Konoha's founding clans, the Senju clan had received large tracts of land from Tobirama.
Having settled the land issue, the Third Hokage, seeing Yuta still lingering, asked, "Anything else?"
Yuta, wary of the Third Hokage's impatience, said, "I want to resign as their instructor. Dai left the team, and the other two are strong enough to be chunin. It's pointless for me to continue."
"They can be chunin? Time flies." The Third Hokage, thinking of Kagami, sighed.
Composing himself, he said, "If they can be chunin, have them apply. What are your future plans?"
He wanted to keep Yuta in Konoha.
"Um… I'll look for a job at the academy, maybe…"
"Get out! Don't even think about it."
Yuta was unceremoniously ejected from the office.
"You're so irritable!"
Yuta strolled down the street, greeting acquaintances with a smile, muttering to himself.
He stopped at a restaurant entrance.
Looking at the "Taste of Shinobi" sign, Yuta felt a surge of pride. Things had indeed changed.
Uchiha Makoto and Toko, who had been waiting, saw Yuta. Toko complained, "Yuta-sensei, you're so slow! You promised us a treat when we got back."
Uchiha Makoto nudged her, reminding her to be polite.
After greeting them, Yuta led them inside.
"Yuta-kun's here! How did the mission go?"
Namikaze Ryuken (Minato's father), greeting guests, asked enthusiastically.
"Don't worry! With us, everything went smoothly," Toko replied.
"Hey! Yuta, you're here too?" Another voice asked.
Yuta nodded, seeing Hatake Sakumo and Duy drinking at a table.
"Yes, the food here is good. I come here often," Yuta said.
Hatake Sakumo pointed at Yuta, smiling. "You..." He knew Yuta co-owned the restaurant, but Yuta was praising it anyway.
Yuta ignored the teasing, asking Duy, "Right, Duy?"
Duy, mid-meal, swallowed and said, "Yuta-kun's right! The food's delicious!"
Hatake Sakumo smiled, taking a sip of wine. "Want to join us? There are no seats left."
"Yes, Yuta-sensei. You being late means there are no seats," Toko complained, looking at the crowded restaurant.
"Yuta-kun, why don't you take Makoto-kun and Toko-kun to the lounge?"
Ryuken, bringing dishes, suggested.
"That's kind of you," Yuta said, leading them to the back.
Watching them leave, Duy whispered to Hatake Sakumo, "Sakumo, have you noticed? Yuta-kun's become kinder since Kiko had the children."
Hatake Sakumo looked at Duy, surprised. Was this the same simple-minded Duy?
Hatake Sakumo had noticed Yuta's changes. But as an ANBU, he couldn't discuss Yuta's dealings with the higher-ups.
