Kaiser groaned, rubbing the new dent in his skull as he slowly pulled himself up from the floor.
The pain was worth it.
Why?
Because Yun Yun was flustered.
And a flustered Yun Yun was a beautiful Yun Yun.
Of course, his survival instinct kicked in. He didn't say a word about it. He just limped back to his seat like nothing had happened.
The Purple Crystal Winged Lion Cub was still clinging to Yun Yun, rubbing its little face against her chest, completely ignoring Kaiser like he was an unwanted stepfather.
The betrayal stung.
"Alright, enough of that," Yun Yun muttered, gently pushing the cub away before grabbing her spoon again. She still looked a little embarrassed from earlier, but the aroma of food was enough to distract her.
Kaiser smirked. Good. Time to pretend like I didn't just get beaten to near death.
He grabbed his bowl—
And proceeded to inhale his food.
Yun Yun had barely taken her second sip of soup when she noticed something strange.
Across from her, Kaiser was devouring his food like a black hole had opened in his stomach.
A whole chicken leg? Gone in one bite.
A large bowl of rice? Vanished.
A plate of vegetables? Demolished in seconds.
Yun Yun stared.
Then stared harder.
Then kept staring as Kaiser reached for another serving without hesitation.
She counted.
One.
Two.
Three.
Four.
Seven.
By the time she had finished half her bowl of soup, Kaiser had already finished his seventh full serving.
And he wasn't stopping.
Yun Yun slowly put down her spoon.
"…Are you serious?"
Kaiser, stuffing his face with an entire loaf of bread, blinked at her. "Huh?"
"You—" She gestured at the empty plates. "—are you even human?"
Kaiser swallowed and grinned. "High metabolism."
Lies.
This was beyond high metabolism.
At this rate, she was half-convinced he could eat the entire empire into bankruptcy.
Her eye twitched as she watched him finish three more bowls of rice, a whole roasted duck, and an absurd amount of dumplings.
Even the cub had stopped snuggling her just to stare at Kaiser in horror.
The little creature blinked. Then, as if testing something, it padded over to Kaiser's plate and sniffed it.
Kaiser saw this and gently pushed the cub back.
"No. My food."
The cub ignored him and climbed onto the table.
It pawed at a dumpling.
Kaiser narrowed his eyes.
The cub narrowed its eyes back.
The atmosphere shifted.
An invisible battle of wills erupted between the Saiyan and the tiny lion cub.
For a moment, neither moved.
Then—
The cub took the dumpling and stuffed it into its mouth.
Silence.
Kaiser gasped dramatically. "You little—!"
The cub, now chewing happily, had the audacity to purr.
Yun Yun's Betrayal
Yun Yun, who had been watching all of this, did something unexpected.
She picked up another dumpling and fed it to the cub.
Kaiser felt his soul shatter.
"H-Hey!" he sputtered. "That's my food!"
Yun Yun smirked. "And?"
Kaiser felt betrayal.
This woman…
She had been his enemy, then his bedmate, and now…
She had become his arch-nemesis.
Meanwhile, the cub purred louder, clearly enjoying its victory.
Kaiser's tail bristled. "This is a declaration of war."
Yun Yun chuckled, clearly amused.
But then—
The cub, overexcited, suddenly jumped onto Kaiser's face.
One second, Kaiser was sitting peacefully.
The next, he had a ball of fur latched onto his face, tiny paws pressing into his cheeks.
"MMMPH—!?"
The cub purred loudly, rubbing against him as if trying to mark him as its possession.
Kaiser flailed. "GET OFF—! MMPH!"
Yun Yun laughed.
Actually laughed.
The sound was so rare and so beautiful that Kaiser momentarily forgot his suffering.
Of course, the cub chose that moment to swat his nose.
SCRATCH!
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
Kaiser screamed like his soul left his body.
The cub immediately ran back to Yun Yun's arms.
Yun Yun, laughing harder, cradled the tiny beast while patting its head. "Good job."
Kaiser, clutching his nose, glared at them both.
The cub stuck out its tiny tongue at him.
Kaiser clenched his fists.
He swore on his Saiyan pride—
One day, he would win this war.
