Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 – Dinner, Delusions, and a Dead Man Walking

Kaiser knew one thing for certain.

He was screwed.

The system had just given him the most impossible mission—make Yun Yun his wife.

His wife.

WIFE.

Kaiser wasn't stupid. He knew that if he even hinted at this to Yun Yun, she'd gut him like a fish and hang his remains in the Magical Beast Forest.

And yet…

His tail flicked as he stole another glance at her. Yun Yun, still wrapped in a sheet, looked absolutely breathtaking—messy hair, flushed skin, and a suspicious glare that made him rethink his entire existence.

Nope. Nope. This isn't love, this is danger.

But then, like the delusional fool he was, his mind immediately went back to his fantasy.

"Kaiser, I-I think I love you."

He imagined her looking up at him with teary eyes, hands clutching his robe, and voice trembling—

SLAM!

A wooden spoon hit the back of his head.

"Ow! What the hell?!"

Yun Yun, now fully dressed, had a smug expression. "You were staring too hard. Pervert."

Kaiser rubbed the sore spot. "I was just—"

"Just what?"

He shut his mouth. Abort mission. She's too sharp.

Dinner Time (Or Kaiser's Struggle)

To distract himself, he focused on serving dinner.

A bowl of rich chicken soup with a side dish of stir-fried vegetables and rice sat in front of Yun Yun.

She eyed it curiously. "This… smells amazing."

Kaiser grinned. "Of course! I'm a master chef."

Yun Yun picked up the spoon hesitantly. The soup was thick, filled with tender chicken, aromatic herbs, and a depth of flavor she had never tasted before.

The moment the warm broth hit her tongue, she froze.

Then, slowly, her expression changed.

Kaiser leaned forward expectantly.

Here it comes. The praise. The admiration. The—

"…This is too good. What is this?"

Kaiser puffed his chest. "A secret recipe."

Yun Yun took another sip, then another, her earlier hesitation forgotten. "How did you even make this? I've never tasted anything like it."

Kaiser smirked. "Magic."

She rolled her eyes. "That's not an answer."

But even as she said that, she was already reaching for another spoonful.

Kaiser chuckled. That's right. Fall for my cooking first, then for me later. The long game, my friend.

The Cub's Betrayal

Just as things were settling, the Purple Crystal Winged Lion Cub wobbled into the room, looking groggy from sleep.

It sniffed the air before spotting the real prize.

Yun Yun.

With a happy chirp, the little creature waddled straight into her lap, rubbing its face against her stomach.

Kaiser immediately narrowed his eyes.

"Traitor."

The cub ignored him, too busy nuzzling its favorite person.

Then, as if remembering something important, it looked up at Yun Yun, eyes wide and expectant.

"Meow!"

Yun Yun blinked. "Huh?"

The cub started pawing at her chest.

Kaiser's eye twitched.

Yun Yun froze. "Wait… No way. You're not—"

Before she could react, the cub tried to nurse from her.

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Kaiser, chopsticks halfway to his mouth, stared at the absurd scene unfolding before him.

Yun Yun, eyes twitching, grabbed the cub and held it at arm's length. "EXCUSE ME?!"

Kaiser opened his mouth to make a joke—

Then it hit him.

His brilliant idiot brain made the worst possible decision.

He copied the cub.

With absolute innocence, Kaiser tilted his head, put on a dumb expression, and—

"I see no milk."

He immediately regretted it.

Yun Yun's Wrath (Again)

There was a loud crash.

Kaiser's body flew across the room.

He crashed into the wall and collapsed onto the floor like a discarded ragdoll.

Yun Yun, standing over him with fists clenched, was glowing with fury.

Kaiser twitched.

His soul had left his body.

"…Was it something I said?"

Yun Yun cracked her knuckles.

Kaiser bolted upright, waving his hands. "I WAS JUST KIDDING—"

Too late.

Another punch landed.

Kaiser found himself embedded in the floor, twitching.

The cub, still in Yun Yun's arms, tilted its head innocently.
