The Night of Chaos and Blood
While Einar was sleeping, he suddenly opened his eyes and put on his mask as he quietly stepped out of his tent, looking outside where everything seemed quite peaceful.
But to Einar, it felt like the calm before the storm. He quickly exited his tent and looked in all directions, but he sensed some strange movements where the guards were supposed to be, along with an air filled with blood.
Einar's instincts quickly warned him to be cautious and get ready. He swiftly entered the Weasleys' tent to warn Arthur and the others.
"Arthur, wake up. Something's happening outside," Einar said seriously.
"Eh? Einar? What's going on?" Arthur asked, waking up confused.
"Wake up. It smells like blood," Einar said quickly.
"W-what... blood?" Arthur said, fully waking up and opening his eyes quickly. "What do you mean?" he asked hastily.
"What's going on?" Bill asked, waking up from his father's shout.
"Einar, did something happen?" Charlie asked seriously.
"It smells like blood. It seems some people were killed. If I'm not mistaken, it's coming from the direction where security is located," Einar said quickly.
"But that's pretty far away. Can you really smell it?" Charlie asked, surprised.
"Of course. I was raised on the battlefield. Wake everyone up, we have to prepare in case it's an attack," Einar said quickly while Arthur, Bill, and Charlie got up to wake the others.
"What's going on?" Harry asked, walking toward the center of the tent where Einar was putting on rings and grabbing a beautiful bow that looked like an ancient relic, along with special arrows.
"Take one. They all have various protections to defend you from an attack or ambush," Einar said, pointing at the jewelry he left on the table for the others. He could've given them armor, but it would take too long to put on, and it was better to move quickly.
Ginny and Hermione also entered the tent, not understanding what was happening, but Einar told them the same thing.
"Wear a necklace and several rings. That way you'll be protected. Not even if a dragon falls on you will it hurt you," he said quickly while putting the quiver on his back.
"Everything's too quiet. It's very suspicious, just like Einar said," Charlie said, entering behind the two girls since he had gone to wake them up and check the surroundings.
Boom.
Then, an explosion sounded not too far from them, followed by screams coming from all directions.
"Everyone, don't split up and stay close to me!" Einar shouted as he nocked an arrow on his bow and stepped out of the tent.
He looked in all directions and saw people running away in fear, while in the distance, fire and spells flew everywhere.
"Follow me. Don't run," Einar said quickly.
"Isn't it better to run to get to safety faster?" Ron asked, scared.
"If we run, we won't be able to fight if enemies appear because we'll have wasted our energy," Einar said quickly. Then he raised his bow, turned, and released his arrow just as a man emerged from behind a tent with a wand in hand and a black mask. The arrow pierced his forehead, going through the mask.
"Ahhh!" everyone screamed upon seeing someone killed right in front of them for the first time.
"A Death Eater," Arthur quickly said, recognizing the man's clothing and mask. "Einar, we need to get everyone to a safe place. Let's head to the forest," Arthur said urgently.
"Alright. Walk quickly, but don't split up," Einar said, letting Arthur take the lead while he stayed behind to keep watch over them.
Along the way, they encountered four more Death Eaters, all of whom fell to the ground with an arrow between their eyebrows, never to rise again, until they reached the forest where several other people seemed to be taking shelter.
"We'll be safe here," Arthur said quickly, seeing that there were quite a few people.
"My wand!" Harry exclaimed, realizing he was missing something and foolishly ran off.
"You all stay here," Einar said as he followed him.
As he followed Harry, he saw a mark appear in the sky and also noticed that the moment the mark appeared, many people panicked and tried to flee the area.
Einar ignored those people and continued following Harry, shooting a couple of arrows whenever he saw a Death Eater. But it seemed even the Death Eaters were scared of the mark in the sky, which left them rather distracted. However, that didn't stop them from continuing to cause chaos.
After clearing the area where Harry was searching for his wand, Einar kept looking in all directions, ready to take down another enemy. But it seemed like the attack was over.
Einar lowered his bow as he watched Harry search the ground for his wand.
"You're pretty foolish to be worrying about your wand right now," Einar said with a bit of scolding in his voice.
"Without my wand, I can't defend myself," Harry replied quickly, though he understood why Einar was upset.
Just as Harry was about to speak again, Einar sensed several attacks coming toward him. He shoved Harry to the ground and swiftly raised his bow, releasing several arrows as more than five magical attacks struck his body. But they didn't even make him flinch.
"Ahh!"
"Ouch, they got me!"
"Help!"
"Save me!"
Those were the cries of four men who each received an arrow " one in the shoulder, one in the leg, one in the arm, and one in the hand.
"Stop! It's Harry and Einar!" Arthur shouted, interrupting the other wizards who were about to launch another attack upon seeing their injured companions.
"He attacked me! He attacked me! Attack him!" Barty Crouch shouted, lying on the ground with an arrow pierced through his leg. "They were at the crime scene!"
The others were Ludo Bagman, Amos Diggory, and an Auror.
"Try it, and the arrows will go straight to your foreheads, just like the ones I took down while walking here," Einar said calmly, aiming his bow at Barty Crouch.
"Stop, Einar! Barty, they're just kids," Arthur said quickly.
"That supposed kid attacked me. I want him handc"" Before he could finish, Einar spoke.
"I seem to recall you attacking me first. I only counterattacked. If I wanted to attack you, you'd be dead like those guys over there," Einar said, pointing at the dead Death Eaters not far away, each with an arrow stuck in their head.
Several other Aurors looked at the dead Death Eaters and then at Einar, who was clearly telling the truth, especially since they had attacked without even thinking twice.
"Mr. Crouch, the boy is right. We attacked without looking at who it was. If he were a normal child, he'd be hurt right now," said one of the Aurors who seemed to understand the situation better.
Barty wanted to keep complaining, but he had no excuses. After all, they had attacked first and talked later.
Meanwhile, the other Aurors spread out to search the surroundings, noticing the bodies of the attackers lying with an arrow between their eyebrows. This made them even more aware that Einar had held back when he attacked them.
"I found something," said another Auror as they investigated the area, bringing along a house-elf and a wand.
"My wand!" Harry said quickly, but Einar swiftly held him back just in case. He still didn't trust the people who had arrived and attacked a student at random, even if they were Aurors.
"Winky!" Crouch shouted angrily. But his anger seemed rather exaggerated to Einar, who was staring intently at the man. He wasn't sure if Crouch's rage was fueled by the pain in his leg or something else.
The house-elf started to wake up upon hearing her master's shout, looking confused.
An Auror used a spell on the wand, and it was indeed used to create that mark in the sky.
"Winky, bad elf. You did that," Crouch yelled, while Einar was shocked by how they weren't investigating the real culprit at all. Everyone just accepted what Crouch said as truth simply because it was a house-elf.
He then dismissed the elf mercilessly while blaming her for casting the mark in the sky. Even though she cried and said it wasn't her and begged not to be dismissed, he ignored her. After that, he was quickly taken away with the help of several men to get to a place where they could heal him, but not before sending a furious glare at Einar.
"You're pretty good, kid. You should try taking the Auror test. I've never seen anyone shoot arrows so perfectly while taking more than five attacks without even flinching," said one of the Aurors as he saluted Einar.
"I already have a job. Thanks anyway," Einar replied quickly.
Then everyone returned to the tents to gather everything and head back home.
