Calm Before the Storm.
"So, how do you light the fire...? Do you have to rub two sticks together quickly?" Arthur asked excitedly after returning from gathering firewood with the twins.
"I think you've gone a bit too far back in time," Einar said with a smile. "I have a flint," he added while taking out a black stone from his bag.
"Laughing"
"What?" Einar said, looking at Hermione, who had chuckled.
"You're also pretty far back in time. In these cases, you use a lighter," Hermione said with a smile.
"Do you have one?" Einar asked quickly.
"No..." Hermione replied.
"Then the flint wins," Einar said quickly with a proud smile.
"How do you use this?" Arthur asked as he looked at the stone with interest.
"You can use an iron dagger. Or here, I also have a piece of pyrite... You have to strike them together hard while aiming where you want the sparks to go," he said while demonstrating, making sparks fly to the ground.
"Awesome!" Arthur said excitedly.
"First, you need to gather some tinder or dry grass," Einar explained while searching the ground. He quickly made something resembling a bird's nest and placed it on the ground for Arthur to try.
Then Arthur began striking the stones clumsily, sending sparks everywhere except onto the tinder.
"Do it like you're grating cheese," Einar said.
On his third attempt, Arthur managed to make a spark land on the tinder.
"Now blow on it gently," Einar said quickly.
"Fuuu. Fuuu." The fire began to appear.
"I did it!" Arthur said excitedly while holding the tinder in his hands.
Einar quickly took it from him before it burned and placed it on the ground where the campfire would be, tossing some sticks on top. He also added some firewood to keep it burning.
When Ginny and Ron returned after waiting in a long line to fetch water, the campfire was already set up, and the others were sitting around it talking.
"At last, Dad could fulfill one of his dreams," Fred said with a smile.
"What a strange dream," Einar commented.
"Well, Dad is weird," George said, laughing along with Fred.
Everyone prepared breakfast while Charlie, Bill, and Percy arrived. Mrs. Weasley seemed to have stayed at home.
At that moment, a chubby man named Ludo Bagman approached them. He was the person who got the Weasleys their tickets. The twins bet all the Galleons they had and a fake wand on the winner.
And while Ludo was talking to Arthur about something happening at Hogwarts that year, which had him very excited, another man named Barty Crouch arrived and quickly dragged him away before he spilled the beans.
Since they had some time, the youngsters went out to explore the surroundings and buy some souvenirs.
"What's this?" Einar asked as he picked up a type of binoculars.
"It's an Omnicular. It lets you see far away, and it can also slow down and rewind the plays," the vendor quickly explained.
"So, can it record everything it sees?" Einar asked with interest.
"No. It can only keep a couple of minutes, and the rest gets overwritten," the vendor quickly replied.
"Mmm. Alright, give me all the ones you have," Einar said quickly, surprising the vendor.
"What do you need so many for?" Hermione asked with interest.
"Because they're interesting," Einar said without explaining much, since he planned to take them apart and continue learning the runes this object used.
"Here you go, that's 250 Galleons for 27 Omniculars. I gave you a 20 Galleon discount for your purchase," the vendor said excitedly.
"Thank you," Einar said as he put the large bag the vendor handed him into his expandable bag.
"What a stupid way to spend money," Ron said with a bit of envy.
"Everyone can use one," Einar said as he handed some to the others.
"No need, Einar. I don't think Mom will let us take them," Fred said quickly.
"I literally have more than twenty, take one. You can always return it at the end of the match, I don't care," Einar said, to which the others happily took one.
After that, Einar bought everything he found interesting to study later, showing no mercy to other buyers. Obviously, the vendors couldn't care less about that since they were calmly selling all their inventory. Of course, Einar only bought magical objects with interesting enchantments.
So, non-magical items like hats and such were still plentiful.
The Weasleys easily accepted borrowing Einar's items since he literally had hundreds.
Although Einar probably wouldn't get them back and would let them keep them.
"Aren't you spending too much money?" Hermione asked, watching for the seventh time as Einar put a giant bag into his expandable bag.
"Well. I have plenty. And if I don't use it, what's the point of having it?" Einar said calmly.
"Hahaha. You sound like a rich guy," Fred said while laughing.
"I wish we had that kind of problem of not knowing what to spend our money on," George said.
While Ron nodded at what his brothers were saying.
"Show-off," he muttered quietly.
"It's time to go back. The match should be starting soon," Hermione said, checking the time, so everyone returned to meet the others.
Then, all together, they headed to the stands, which were swaying with all the people already there. They seemed quite risky, but since they were held up by magic, everyone tried not to think about it.
Einar was watching with some apprehension about the safety of the magical world. But he came to enjoy the moment, so he started ignoring it at some point.
When they reached the box where they were supposed to sit, everyone took their places while a family seemed to be glaring at the Weasleys with hostility.
"Potter... Weasley and the little Mudblood," said the young man who seemed to be the couple's son.
Something Einar took as an insult towards Hermione.
"Shut up, Malfoy," Ron said quickly, angrily.
"What are you doing here, Weasley? Begging for scraps, perhaps?" the young man said with disdain.
Einar calmly turned around and stared directly at the young man who started insulting the others, believing himself superior while Einar used his fear magic.
"What? What? No, no, no! Ahh, Dad!" the young man screamed as he tried to hide behind his parents in fear.
"What did you do to my son?" said the adult who looked older but similar to the young man, and quickly drew his wand.
"Once you point that at me, your hand will fly so far away you won't find it again. Although, given the movement of the stands, maybe it could be your head," Einar said as he also used his fear magic on Lucius, who stopped while trembling slightly and hesitated to pull out his wand.
"You there! You can't fight here. Don't make us arrest you," said an auror approaching quickly.
"Well. I'm not from this country. But in my country, if someone disrespects another, usually a head will fly," Einar said while looking calmly at the auror from his seat.
The auror, feeling Einar's gaze, although he couldn't see his appearance, his experience made him feel he was facing someone he couldn't mess with.
"Put away your wand, Mr. Malfoy. You cannot use magic here," the auror said quickly.
Lucius looked at Einar with great anger and put away his wand.
"I don't know what country you're from, but in this country, you have to respect ranks," Lucius said with disdain.
"Ah, yes. In my country too. But since I had the highest rank, I could tear the limbs off my enemies without anyone being able to stop me," Einar said calmly.
Meanwhile, the others in the box, upon hearing that, began to move a little away from Einar.
"Hmph." Lucius and his family searched for a place further away to sit, but from time to time, he would throw furious looks at Einar, which Einar calmly ignored.
"Einar, I like your style, but if you keep this up, you'll make enemies all over the world," Arthur said with concern.
"It wouldn't be any different from where I come from," Einar said with a smile.
Meanwhile, the twins started putting on a little play of what had just happened, acting like Einar while laughing excitedly.
"Einar, you're amazing. Teach us how to be as cool as you," Fred said while laughing.
"...Tear the limbs off my enemies without anyone being able to stop me," George said, imitating Einar's voice.
"You should be careful with the Malfoy family. They claim to be one of the 28 pure-blood families of the wizarding world. They also have a lot of money and political power," Hermione said, leaning slightly towards Einar.
"Haha, don't worry. The only concern I have with my enemies is that they don't come fast enough for me to keep remembering them," Einar said calmly.
"Here, another cool line," Fred said.
"We should write a book with Einar's quotes and sell it," George said.
While Einar just shook his head with a smile.
"You have to admit, he's too cool," Harry said to Ron.
"Yeah, sure," Ron said with annoyance, while Harry didn't know how to convince his friend that Einar wasn't as bad as he said.
He even seemed pretty normal if you ignored how violent he could be, but only if they messed with him. Normally, he was quite calm and mature.
