Jayden, who had angrily walked out of the restaurant, was fuming with a lot of rage. She didn't know which or what to do next; she wanted to shout or rant at someone just to let it all out, but she was so helpless. After all, they are her parents; even if she didn't want to comply, they have hundreds of ways of breaking her wings and bending her to their will.
Seeing how helpless and powerless she felt, she sat inside her car and cried her eyes out loudly, after which she drove towards her parents place. Her eyes were so hazy that she couldn't see clearly, or else she would have been in a hospital hours later.
Although she found it tiring to still come here pleading her case with her parent, she knew there was no other choice; otherwise, she'd be sold off without knowing how or when. Moreover, she had to know the reason for her mother backing down and betraying the plan they had together. Why would she? Jayden couldn't hold it in and cried again, turning herself into a crybaby. Thinking about everything, she didn't know what to feel towards her parent. She's aware that her settling down has been a constant headache for her parent, especially her father; that man is too eager to marry her off.
Didn't they know she also wished for a happy marriage just like everybody else? She longed to find someone who'd love and cherish her for who she is, someone who'd always go the extra mile to make her happy, and they'd have a bunch of children to complete the family ?
She also has a perfect dream she'll love to achieve, but how can she easily erase the past from her life? Can she really bear to do so?
Having a dream is expensive! Reality is too different from a movie; imagining it now has caused her heart to beat fast. She feels as if she's running a temperature. Jayden couldn't help but use the back of her hand to touch her neck and the other hand on her racing heart that follows the rhythm of a beating drum. She felt as if she were having a panic attack.
Thank goodness her parents' place is already in view, or she wouldn't know how to manage herself. She drove in, cleaned herself up, and retouched her makeup to avert strange glances. She got out and handed one of her car keys to the butler to properly park the car, as she's too tired to do that herself.
Jayden picked up her LV bag and walked through the main door only to find her parent and younger brother sitting there and looking at her with straight faces. Although she tried to keep her cool, she knew they must have gotten information on how she performed at the so-called "blind date". Well, she already saw this coming. While keeping a straight face, she walked in directly without acknowledging any of them, ignoring their presence totally with a frown on her proud gloomy face.
Stay there! Mr Cole Shouted. Where do you think you're heading to? Do you even know the immensity of what you've done at all? You, a young lady of the Cole family, the only heiress to Cee Industries, went on a blind date only to embarrass yourself? Even if you don't have interest, didn't you know to pretend?
Seeing her father bursting with so much anger, Jayden knew to say anything; she only watched him with a dark expression on her face, while her younger brother kept sending her signals to remain silent. Her mother was down with worry on her face, but it could be said that she's gone back to her always neutral era, or else why won't she say anything? Facing these parents attitude is quite tiring, she silently sighed.
Once he realised Jayden doesn't have any intention of giving any reply, he directly dumped the bombshell on her. He said, Anyway, you don't have to do anything; just know well to prepare for your wedding in two weeks, and mind you, don't try to put on any trick or play any funny game; trust that my eyes will be on you always, without waiting for her to recover from her shocked state. Mr Cole walked out on them!
